I've hired so many different people and companies, and one after the other totally let me down by not taking good care of my fur babies or even worse, not even bothering to show up. I have interviewed dozens of sitters, and I have never been more impressed with anyone than I have with Desiree, the owner of Little White Dog. I hired her on the spot, and it was the best decision I have ever made! Desiree was able to come by in person for an interview and meet and greet with just a one day notice, and I was so impressed! She was punctual and asked all the right questions. One of my cats instantly loved her, running up and meowing like crazy for lots of lovins (always a great sign). I knew this would be the right match! Little White Dog Company has been caring for my pets for about 6 months now, and they are THE BEST. I've booked them from everything like a 14 day trip to a one day drop-in. Depending on your service request, you will sometimes be assigned different sitters. I've had several different employees drop in on my cats, and they've all been excellent, but Desiree is my favorite. I can tell she has a good relationship with my pets, and they are starting to recognize and like seeing her, too. I love that there's total accountability, which is important. The sitters set a timer so you know they stay the entire scheduled time, and I love the detailed reports and photos that I am sent shortly after every visit. Scheduling is very easy, as is adding additional days if necessary. Of course, the more notice the better, but I've had visits scheduled with just a couple days advance notice and they were able to accommodate me. Prices are reasonable ($26 for a half hour visit; I have three cats, but the rate is the same as if I had one pet), and you can pay online with a credit card (which gives you yet another level of safety). I like that there's an option to add a tip when you pay. They have an app that's amazing and easy to use, and it's a great way to keep in touch with the people caring for your most important furry family members. I always crack up when I get the reports and pictures, but it also puts me at total ease so I can enjoy my vacations and keep my focus on business trips because I can rest assured that my cats are in the best hands possible! It's a tech-savvy company for sure, and I can't say enough positive things about the app. Users can go in and change things like their garage door keypad code, give detailed instructions, or ask questions before, during, and after the sitter visits. This is important for things like if you're expecting a package delivery or trash day. I like that I can choose the time window for visits, and they offer both 30 minute and 1 hour check-ins. The app also offers a secure place to store things like your neighborhood gate code, alarm system code, and emergency contact numbers. No more paper instructions, it's all in the palm of your sitters hand! Best of all, my cats seem happy when I return home, instead of stressed and upset. That means they also love the sitters as well. My home has always been left in a clean condition too, and their litter boxes are spotless and their water and food bowls totally full. If you're looking for a safe, reliable, and professional pet sitting service, I highly, HIGHLY recommend Little White Dog Company. I submitted an online request and received a phone call from Tara about an hour later asking about Oliver (my cat), what dates I needed their services, etc. She scheduled a free in-home appointment so I could meet Susie, the woman who would be petsitting for me. Susie came over a day or two later to meet Oliver, pick up my keys, learn his feeding routine, which of his toys he liked best, etc. She was exceptionally nice and seemed to fall in love with Oliver as soon as she met him. While I was gone, Susie texted me to let me know she was feeding or playing with Oliver, and would send me photos each time she visited him. I always feel guilty when I go away on trips and have to leave my cat by himself, but Susie helped alleviate that feeling by sending frequent updates and commenting on behavior that I know she'd only observe if she was really spending time with him. After I returned from my trip, Tara followed up with me to make sure that everything went smoothly while I was away, and to ask if there's anything they could have done to make my experience with them easier or more enjoyable. Definitely a nice, appreciated touch. Overall, my experience with Gals on the Go was extremely positive. I'd use them again, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a petsitter. I can't speak to the other services that they provide as I haven't used them yet, but I'd definitely be open to trying them!
