It was an old-school-fix-everything kind of place when the father owned/worked in it... Many years ago. I recently was in town visiting family when I sprouted a flat tire, who would've thunk it? Anyways, I thought "these guys did a great job back in the day, why don't I send the business their way?" Should've known when the guy mistook me for someone else and was going to refuse service, someone a few months ago had showed up and demanded his car without fixing it... Red flag number 1. I called back, "Oh, sorry the guy who was manning the pumps no longer has a job, so I won't be able to see your car until 3PM today" (meaning they fired the pump guy, Red flag number 2). I showed up in the rain via bus just to see what's going on. Mind you it was for a tire people, the car was rumbling with a flat tire... "So I see you've got oil leaking all over the place, you need a tire and your exhaust is shot, you're looking at about 1k in repairs" "I don't have that kind of money, can we just fix the tire?" "so you don't want me to do any work? why did you bring it here without giving me time to work on it?" (mind you this is at 3:30 the following DAY from when I left it there, and I called at 9:30 to tell him what I wanted to have done "why do you need the car so fast? It takes money to fix a car nowadays" "I don't live here anymore, I have to take it back to the city" "so stay in a hotel, I can't deal with it" (yes he literally said that to a paying customer) Long story short and one broken lug nut later, I have a new tire but then he proceeds to tell me "you know a car like that will last you a lifetime if you pay around 500-1000 every once in a while, the next place you take it to you can tell them you need a bolt for the tire, it should be OK to take it home, but no further" Thanks for the life-lesson you worn-out old reformed alcoholic. Put it this way, I saw the movie deliverance, I didn't know it was on re-runs in Lawrence at a freaking service-station. Thank God for AAA, I had it towed to a REAL shop near Boston, never to be taken there again. BEWARE PEOPLE, THESE GUYS ARE BATSHIT OUT OF THEIR MINDS. CAUTION, SCARY SCENARIOS HERE!!

Then went to use the Men's toilet and there's handwritten paper signs stating they're closed after 10 pm and the door was Locked. Went back to the cashier and asked if there was a key for the men's room now and he only said "Closed", no explanation. This is not the first time having an issue here that included not being able to use the App to pay at the pump and went to the cashier and Pre-paid but wasn't able to get the membership price. Got a Coca-Cola that was already opened and Requested for the Manager to call me, but that never happened. This location has become close to what it's like being in a Third World country which includes trash thrown all around the entrance!

Was told it was a electrical wiring harness underneath the dashboard. Was told they were bringing in a " specialist" At this point I realized I was getting the run around. I asked to have my car put back into the same condition as it was given and I would have a tow truck tow it elsewhere. DAN THE manager, rude, arrogant, and unprofessional, became irate that I choose not to have them continue after 8 days.... My vehicle would not turn over and crank? I have no power anywhere in the vehicle. They completely tore apart my dash board and returned it looking like it was stolen. DAN the manager charged me nearly $600 dollars, returning my vehicle in worse shape than it was. I will be disputing with my Credit card company. I will never return again. When I've brought the car by for unscheduled repairs, they've always been super prompt. The only time I had to wait as much as a day was when they had to wait on a supplier for a part. Otherwise, it's all been quick and easy, and affordable. There's no kind of waiting area -- a few chairs and a television you'd have to break your neck to see -- but Stop & Shop is next door, so you can while away the time browsing magazines you aren't going to buy or examining the extensive jam selection.

We're new to the area and I own three expensive european cars that I pay to keep in top condition, and we are looking for a mechanic. I don't know what the deal is with car wash attendants, but they're always extremely rude in my experience if you don't know exactly what to do. Maybe it's just the Merrimack Valley because these experiences were at two different car washes in North Andover. Some grumpy middle aged man came knocking at my window berating me to roll it down so he could talk to me. I did, and he me to put the car in neutral. I said I did, and he sneered, "No you didn't, the car was moving." Well, it seemed like my car wasn't exactly in the right place when I did put it in neutral, so I moved ahead slightly. The signs about when to move weren't clear, and where I come from car washes have operated differently (i.e. you put your car in park and move ahead when the lights tell you to move). In any case, he didn't have to be such an asshole about it. I don't know what his deal is because the gas station attendants have never been rude like this. The car wash itself was okay for the price. I got the $12 one which didn't make my car spotless but it was decent enough. However, I'll stick to touchless car washes from now on so I don't have to deal with people like this.
