We stopped by this quaint burger shop for a quick bite and it was pretty good! They had some of the best prices around and the family deal was perfect for us. The burger was tasty and fries were super hot. You can tell it's a local spot and it's a loved one as people were quickly shuffling in and out with a friendly greeting while we ate. They were very kind and made our food fast even with a very long drive thru line. It's a really good spot for an old school burger and fries in a friendly and warm environment. I'll be back the next time I am in the area! read more

I've never updated a review to lower my rating before, but here we are. I decided to give Ritz one more try. After all a four star rating isn't half bad. This time the owner was my cashier. The pictures on yelp seemed to show burgers stretching all the way to the edges of the bun. I don't know if these are old pictures or what, but that was not my experience last time. Anyhow, I ordered the Bigfoot burger again, but I inquired whether the burger itself was bigger or just a bun. The owner became clearly agitated and snapped at me that it's just the bun. I was trying to ask a few questions, but he was rushing me despite there not being a line behind me. He was extremely rude. After speaking to some other people in the area who have gone to Ritz, they all share the same experience of the rude owner. I had an OK experience the first time, but the second experience was so bad. I will not be going back. Again, the shaken fries were great, but the burger was lackluster. If as an owner of a business, you can't be polite to the customer you shouldn't be in business in the first place. read more

Great burgers and fries, fries are crispy and fresh. Burgers are fresh as well however I wish they would put real bacon slices on their bacon burgers as myself and many friends did not care for the bacon bits they use on their bacon burgers, overall though this place is a must have if stopping in Shelton or even if your a local, the fry sauce is great reminds me of zips drive in a bit (if your from Spokane you know what i mean) also great prices! read more

This place has the potential to be a truly good burger joint. It has a great setup, amazing people and very decent pricing. The one thing I have to say that needs improvement is seasoning. A burger should be more than its toppings. The vegetables and sauce is not there to cover up the taste but to enhance it. Same with the fries, they were warm and crisp but they need to taste of something before drowning them in fry sauce. I considered giving a 3 but that would be unfair, too many things are good for that. But I look forward to coming back and trying again at some point read more

They've got my favorite fries - soft & fluffy with delicious pink fry sauce. The burgers were hot and fresh plus a good value. The drive thru window guy is very funny and either owns the place or is employee of the year! Long line of cars but be patient it's worth the wait. Thanks Ritz. read more

Great burger on the way back from hiking at Mount Ellinor. We got the big foot burger which was HUGE! strong recommend! My cousin got the marshmallow shake which he said was the best ever. We sat outside and enjoyed the view with our meal. The service was what you'd expect for a diner. read more

Ritz is a must place to eat in Shelton. Superb burgers, chicken sandwiches, and fries made to order, at reasonable prices. One of the cooks has worked there for over 20 years. We have to be honest here. We have found hard unidentified things in the beef, almost every time we have eaten here. It is disgusting & makes us wonder who their beef supplier is, it is more than questionable & too much risk for us. As for the constantly rising prices, seems twice a year they raise pricing, but the food quality does not improve. The food is no longer worth the price they now charge. Then there is Gin, the owner's son, who used to be nice to us & even called us by our names & knew our orders by memory. But sadly, he now treats us like strangers & that Indian man that works there is also an a-hole, so we are done with this lousy dump. We will never eat there again. Ordered a Triple meal with my friend I got the burger large fry and a chocolate strawberry shake. The burger was really good the service at the drive was nice fun and kind. Fries could use a little bit more seasoning but were good. And the milkshakes were very enjoyable and delicious. Would definitely recommend especially because they have a drive-through it's easy to drive on through and get a good meal if you're in a rush and definitely recommend over other fast food type locations read more

It was fine but nothing I'd return for. The portions were more than generous, the price was quite reasonable, the burgers were accurate (no cheese on one, no onions on both), and the guy was pleasant! We got the deluxe double with large fries, upgrading one to onion rings. The burgers were dry and the bun was also dry. Removing the bottom half helped. The lettuce was plentiful, and while the one tomato slice was thick, it was not enough to cover the burger. The fries and rings arrived very hot, but when the fries cooled (which happens quickly outside), they also were dry and not really tasty. The plentiful rings tasted good (not great), and perhaps because they were small diameter and had a thick crumb coating (instead of batter), they were also on the dry side. So I guess nothing felt oily which is a bonus. But everything tasted dry which isn't great. read more

Great burgers and fries. We went during Forest Festival with 3 adults and 4 kids, and they were very busy. We waited in line and when we got the the counter the guy had to leave the counter. He told us politely and worked quickly to get back to us. After giving our order we found room to wait outside. The same guy that took our order found us outside. He told us what was in each bag then disappeared back in to the crowd. The food was every bit as good as the service. read more

Absolute disappointment! My husband had eaten here years ago and said it was so good, so we were in town for the week and decided to get lunch. It was not as he remembered. We both got the deluxe bacon cheeseburger meal. The fries and tots were overdone, the burger was dry, I guess they forgot to put sauce on the burger too, which made it even more dry, the bacon was bacon bits! Can't say I've ever had bacon bits on a burger, a bit unexpected. The prices weren't bad, $7 for burger, fries & a drink. While my rating is based on only a single visit with only a limited meal option I still feel it is well deserved for what I asked for and what I got. In these days of rising prices and poor customer service the employees and the food I received were top notch. I had a Bacon Burger combo meal that included fries and a soda all for at or near $10. The burger had some crisp lettuce, a slice of tomato, a pickle the bacon and a decent size and tasty burger. The fries were crispy outside and tender inside and complimented by a tasty fry sauce. The service was friendly, quick, and more friendly. Yes the picnic table outside not Red Robin but the price was right and the friendly conversation felt genuine. I plan to stop again and give the rest of the menu a go. Simple pleasure from a simple drive in doing it right. Thanks read more

One of my favorite places to eat in Shelton and by far the best drive thru/"fast food" in town! Their food is always super tasty and top quality and every time the service is friendly and speedy. I've also have never gotten a messed up and/or wrong order here and I've ordered some annoyingly complicated and big orders. I honestly can't even pick a favorite menu item because everything I've tried is mouth watering delicious from the fish and the chicken sandwich to the milkshakes and fries! Their prices are actually pretty good for being a small business and beats any other small burger joint. Ok so at first I REALLY liked ritz. I mean they are far better then your local fast food chains. Me and my friend usually eat here when she comes to town. But its more because of the ritual and more and more often I have become kinda disenchanted with them.... They don't season their fries. They don't season their meat. People talk about the really good shakes but they arn't THAT good either.... Last time I was there the guy behind the counter was kinda a tool... like not just a shovel, but a full on 152 piece snap-on tool set. Also I think they use like the frozen pre-pattied meat you could buy yourself at like walmart... I just think it is more a place you would take your grandma, cause "[insert chain burger joint] is too salty" Even then you might as well go to Denny's where you get a real pressed beef patty. just ask them not to season it if thats the kind of sado-masocistic shit your into... Look Ritz is just... generic and bland... Ritz is like the Nickelback of the burger world.... is that what you really want to be Ritz? Nickelback?
