My family really enjoy staying at this Ritz Carlton. Conveniently located in Tyson's, right by the Galleria Mall, there is so much to do on property and off. My son loves the Game Center that has X Boxes and some kids' activities little ones. Also an awesome to check out is the pool and hot tub. There is life guard present and there's even flavored water dispensers there. We have only tried the room service for dining, but I really want to dine at the restaurant on property the next time I stay at this Ritz. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my parents - although, this isn't entirely based on hearsay because I have stayed in this hotel a few times myself. As a family, we adore this particular Ritz Carlton in Tyson's Corner. It's probably our favorite hotel collectively - you can't beat the amenities, the service, the staff, and the location. My parents have consistently gone back to this hotel for a yearly weekend getaway consistently for nearly 20 years, continuing to choose that hotel despite the ever-changing landscape due to COVID. Therefore, it is with great disappointment that I write this negative review about this hotel because it has truly served us well over the years. My parents booked a weekend trip from November 14th through the 17th in celebration of my mom's birthday. Unfortunately, my mother came down with COVID-pnemonia that week, showing symptoms on the evening of Monday Nov. 12th with an official diagnosis by the evening of Tuesday Nov. 13th. Realizing that they could not travel under such conditions, my father canceled the booking for their weekend trip via the website on Wednesday, Nov. 14th. While he was able to cancel the trip, the company withheld a 500 dollar, non-refundable charge because it was 'not within the three day limit' as stated on their website. Now the problem here is this - what constitutes as three days? Are we talking a full 36 hours here or are we talking three days as counting by fingers? Because the trip was canceled Wednesday morning with a 4pm Friday arrival - Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are three days. I hate to cherrypick the Bible (although it is common practice these days), but if we're going by Jesus' rules, he died on a Friday afternoon and was resurrected on a Sunday morning, and it constitutes as three days by church law - but apparently, this timeline is not good enough for the Ritz Carlton. Believing this was unfair, my father called the hotel themselves and explained the situation - they are longtime customers, my mom was nearly hospitalized due to Covid, they had a doctor's note as proof, is there anything they could do to lessen this exorbitant cancellation fee? The staff's answer was essentially "apologies, but no." The staff said my father should have called the hotel directly instead of canceling it online and they could have done more for them, and that it actually wasn't three days but more like two and a half, and the charge would unfortunately stay. Now, we understand that hotels are subject to inflation and economic woes due to the state of the world, and some sort of penalty due to the cancellation is understandable - but let's look at the facts here. My mother was diagnosed with a highly contagious virus, and they did the right thing by canceling their trip a few days before as opposed to risking several people in the hotel. This was not a morning-of cancellation - this was a cancellation on Wednesday for a trip that technically wouldn't begin until check-in time at 4pm on Friday. Was there absolutely nothing the management staff could have done to rectify or soften this blow? If removing the fee was out of the question, there are other things the management could have done instead of saying "sorry, not sorry" about the 500 dollar charge. They could have offered a voucher, or a credit for rebooking a different weekend, or offered free dinner at one of their restaurants - something to make up for this loss. My parents would have accepted any of these things - because really, THEY are the ones missing out here - no trip, a terrible illness, and out 500 dollars because they did the right thing by canceling. To me, this is just poor business practice. It is important to reward loyal customers, and the Ritz-Carlton is supposed to be the height of luxury - and yet, apparently the 500 dollars is more important than maintaining a 20-year long relationship. It's truly disappointing. The irony is that the Ritz Carlton has a '$2000 rule' to make guests happy, but apparently they need my parents' 500 dollars in order to make this golden rule work for other customers. read more

To wrap up 2025, my workplace hosted the annual EOY party at the Ritz. The hotel is fancy, but the decor and design felt a bit dated -- think velvet carpets, busy patterns, and overly warm browns. We had our event in the ballroom and its vicinity. Before dinner inside the ballroom, we enjoyed an open bar and a charcuterie board for a snack. As for dinner, the catering options were pretty mediocre. There were flatbread pizza options like margherita, mushroom, and buffalo chicken, but it was stale and a bit cold. The shrimp and grits were almost offensive. Instead of a soft and creamy, slightly grainy, texture, the grits were solid. I was able to pick up the whole clump of grits with my fork. They also had a scallop appetizer that was pretty good. There was also a station with roast beef and fries which was a bit better. Some cuts of the steak were cooked a perfect medium rare and quite tender. I wish they gave us steak knives because I didn't plan on getting an arm workout in when cutting the steak into bite-sized pieces. The fries tasted fine, but also cold. Overall, clean space for a big event, but the food was a miss for our table. read more

The Ritz Carlton is located right at the Tysons corner Galleria with all of the incredible shopping wow, just wow we loved our room the attention to detail that they plan for our stay will absolutely be coming back. We had an incredible and an amazing weekend. It's located right next to the PALM so as a recommendation it's one of my favorite restaurants walk over and get yourself a ribeye because it's to die for and you can go back to your incredible room and crash after you have a food coma cause the food is that good and so is the hotel. read more

Stayed here on a whim. The service was next-level. I was greeted with genuine warmth at the front desk for upgrading me to a suite. To my surprise the suite gave access to the Lounge which had an I incredible stocked bar, vast array of beverages, coffee bar, candy bar and light bites and sandwiches. The room itself? Spacious, spotless, and had that upscale-cozy balance down to a science. Think plush bedding, blackout curtains, and tech that just worked. Plus, the location is ideal -- steps away from Tysons Galleria and a quick ride into DC. Overall, this felt less like a business trip and more like a mini staycation. One of the best choices for the Ritz in the DMV area with a Luxury branded Galleria Mall attached! Really not many choices that are this convenient and located right next to DC and the MD line. Parking was a few steps away or you can elect to use the valet service. Being directly connected to the Galleria made it super easy to walk within the hallways and no need to go outdoors, just walk to the connecting doorway. The club lounge was very nice and comfortable with such a beautiful view of the Tysons Corner Mclean skyline. The very best part was the check in experience, Mr Cheng greeted us with exceptional hospitality and kindness, this will be remembered. The Ritz Carlton comes recommended and also has a pool. The hotel is family friendly offering a "kid check in" experience as well. During the holidays kids received a stocking filled with snacks and a small stuffed animal. The hotel had a photo op near the large tree at check in and had a warm pool with hot tub in the spa area. The restaurant Entyse is located on the mail floor Lobby and offers seated breakfast brunch and dinner. I'm unsure about lunch. They did have a wait for walk ins. The hotel is decorated during the holiday season. They have valet and self parking for your convenience. Children really enjoyed the kids room where they had games, crafts, and movies nights. I stayed at this hotel as part of a corporate Christmas event. Our company routinely books higher-tier accommodations for these gatherings, and this property was selected based on its reputation, location, and the general expectation that comes with the Ritz-Carlton name. When you're paying premium rates--or when your company is paying on your behalf--you reasonably expect a premium experience. Not perfection, but a clear level of care, attention, and consistency. Let me start with the positives, because there are several. The property itself is beautiful. The building is well maintained, the common areas are elegant, and the location--connected to an upscale mall with high-end shopping and dining--is extremely convenient. The overall atmosphere feels polished and refined, and it's clear that a lot of thought has gone into the aesthetics and branding of the space. On the surface, it checks many of the boxes you would expect from a luxury hotel. Where my experience fell short was in the most basic and arguably most important area: room cleanliness. When I entered my room, I immediately noticed that the garbage can still contained trash from the previous guest. That alone was surprising, but unfortunately it didn't end there. The toilet had visible marks that should have been addressed during routine housekeeping, and most concerning, I found hair on the duvet on the bed. These are not subjective issues or matters of preference--these are fundamental cleanliness standards that should be met at any hotel, but especially at one positioned at the top end of the market. To be clear, I'm not someone who looks for reasons to complain, nor am I interested in seeking free upgrades, points, or compensation. I didn't go down to the front desk to make a scene, and I didn't request a room change. I stayed in the room for the night, as I had commitments tied to the event, and chose to simply take note of the experience. However, choosing not to complain in the moment doesn't mean the experience should go unshared. What made this particularly disappointing is that cleanliness is not an area where expectations are unclear. At a luxury hotel, guests assume rooms are not just tidy, but thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and prepared with care. These oversights suggest a breakdown somewhere in the housekeeping or quality control process, and that's something potential guests deserve to be aware of. I want to emphasize that this review is not meant to imply that every stay here will be like this, nor that the staff doesn't care. Mistakes happen, even at high-end properties. However, when you're charging premium rates and positioning yourself as a luxury experience, the margin for error is understandably smaller. In summary, this is a very nice facility in a great location, and there's a lot to like about the property itself. But a luxury setting doesn't automatically guarantee a luxury experience. 5 Solid stars for: 1) Amazing staff and service that is at a very different level. Their attention to detail with the color coordination of the flower arrangements in the suite to the precise placement of the extra bed to the extra case of room temperature drinking water to how quickly the used dishes and utensils are picked up; the snacks in the lounge to match the tastes and likes of the guest. They know how to take care of guests. Every single person from the kind lady cleaning the men's room by the gym to the bartender at the lobby restaurant wished us with a smile. The younger grandkids are on Ca time and were up at 4 am; they requested and had mac n cheese, pancakes, chocolate milkshakes and fried sweet plantains specially prepared for them at 4:50 am. 2) A gorgeous interior.Simpler than the Ritz in Paris, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and in Orange County, Ca but just as exquisite and classy. The exterior entrance is very plain and not flashy at all. Walking in gives the Wow effect! 3) The fitness center is modern and updated with really great equipment. The pool temperature is perfect. 4) I got one of the best massages in my life in the spa this am. My therapist Gina attentively listened to me and addressed all my areas of concern. She knew her stuff and had strong and healing hands. 5) The hotel is easy to get around and not very big. Another huge plus is that the Tysons Galleria mall is attached to the hotel. For Valentine's Day 2024, this girl took Wednesday off to indulge in Spa services at the Ritz! Spa Days are to relax and disconnect and I'm always able to do that here! Beautiful property, fine dining available. I love to check in the day before, fine dine at their restaurant, sleep in, do breakfast in bed and go to the spa! They have an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and lounge area. It's never crowded, overall a one night stay, facial, plus massage runs a little over 1k but SO worth it! Facials are amazing! What a spectacular treat to be able to celebrate Thanksgiving at the Ritz-Carlton, Tyson Corner. This was my first time. On Thanksgiving, the Ritz-Carlton offers 2 dining options. One traditional Thanksgiving meal in its restaurant and one brunch seating in its ball room. I highly recommend the brunch. You enter a huge ballroom where the food stations lie in the center and live music fills the room. The most friendly host I have ever met greet and seat you at your table. From the time you sit down till the time you leave, it is a culinary party. The servers introduced themselves and start caring for you beverage choices. The brunch is buffet style. So many options to choose from. Buffet offered many stations: bread & cheese, fruits, omelet s, seafood (shell fish) & caviar, traditional Thanksgiving meals, pizza &pasta, sushi, duck & Asian food, breakfast, and dessert. For my first Mother's Day as a mama of 2, I just wanted some time to myself to recoup and recharge. I booked a one night staycation at the Ritz-Carlton in Tyson's and enjoyed my experience! Upon check-in, I had a warm welcome from the staff and was offered complimentary glass of champagne from the lobby. The room itself was spacious enough for myself and had the most comfortable pillows and blankets. The gym was a bit outdated but it had everything that you needed (cardio equipment, free weights, etc.) to get a quick workout in. Valet was also very efficient and my car was waiting for me right after I checked out of my room. The best part about this hotel is how it's adjacent to the the Galleria mall which housed plenty of food options (to eat/order something that I didn't need to share!). read more

Remarkable service, unique location Came in for a conference and always enjoy my stay here. The staff is supremely courteous and quick, with a quiet, clean, and comfortable room. One representative saw that I hadn't logged in under my Bonvoy account and paid for WiFi, asking if she could correct that for me. Another young man found a private spot for me to take an important call in a side room after check-out, but before I left for the airport. The conference facilities are mid-sized and nicely appointed. The food is great. Morning and evening meetings at Entyse are perfect and both the meals and service are superior. We also made our way to food options at the adjoining Galleria Mall-- excellent for walking out of the cold, getting a gift for the way back, and restaurants. Last, the convenience to and from Dulles airport makes this hotel very easy to get in and out of. The roads were crazy clear with what's happening in the Federal government at the moment, but even in normal times, it's a reasonably quick trip except at rush hour. read more

I stayed here for two nights. It was fine, I just didn't find the experience to live up to the Ritz Carlton brand. When I checked in, my pillowcases and bedding both has stains. There was a high-pitched ringing sound coming from the door/bathroom area the entire stay. The bathroom didn't feel the cleanest. The thermostat didn't seem to be responding to my inputs. The lobby and door staff wasn't overly helpful with the few questions I had. Overall, a fine stay and nice enough place, but, based on my experience, not worth the price tag if you're paying the standard rate. In town for a short visit; having lived in Vienna as a child, it was a nice trip down memory lane. From the front door, you take an elevator up (3rd floor?) to get to lobby; there's another set of elevators to take you to rooms. Service was excellent from check-in to room service. Rooms are on the larger side. Stopped in for a drink at the Entyse bar and enjoyed the live music & drinks. It's very rare that I don't give a Ritz property a 5 star review but this location just had too many missteps. When arriving you have the choice to valet or self park. I chose self park because I was going to be in and out dozens of times a day and didn't want to wait each time for my car. Each time you come in you have to pull a ticket and then take it to the front desk to validate. So yes, while technically parking was free for me I had to visit the front desk at least ten times. Check in was a breeze and everyone was super nice. My room upgrade was just a higher level (21). You have to use your key to access the elevator which was hit or miss. The lobby is lovely and they have live music on the weekends. They were advertising hot chocolate and apple cider in the lobby but every time we stopped by it was empty and no one was around to refill it. I did a 90 minute spa treatment with Fariba and it was amazing. She's super sweet and I recommend everyone go see her. The pool and hot tubs are adults only at certain hours which my son didn't mind. My only issue was when it was adult time there were always kids in the pool and the parents didn't seem to care. Again, no staff around to enforce the rules. We ordered breakfast and it arrived promptly at 7:45am as requested. They include a 20% gratuity in the price of the food which is nice. Upon checkout my final bill was correct, down to the penny so points for keeping track of all that. The final blow for me was that this property no longer has the standard Ritz hotel keys that are blue and list the property location. I've been collecting these keys for years from various Ritz' so this time I just got a Marriott Bonvoy key. If anyone from the hotel sees this review please find an old key and hook me up read more

Ritz-Carlton is no longer a luxury brand. We found no fridge upon our arrival. They had a stocked minibar with $10 water but no place to put our perishables. The hotel guide said we could request a personal fridge - so we did. I joked "what if they drop a college dorm fridge in the middle of the room?!" We both laughed. When we returned from dinner - guess what? - they had deposited a dented dorm fridge in an absolutely awkward place in our room! I was absolutely STUNNED! Ritz- Carlton used to be a luxury brand! Fun to see all the bonus options like loofah and comb. Loved that they have a pool that's warmed up and scented with rosemary. No chlorine but Rey clean and relaxing. I've stayed at many Ritz-Carlton properties over the years and have generally had positive experiences, which is why this situation was especially disappointing. I had a prepaid "Prepay and Save" reservation for late January that I was unable to use due to unexpected surgery and being medically advised not to travel, compounded by a severe snowstorm impacting the Washington, DC area at the time. These were circumstances completely outside of my control. I contacted the hotel directly and spoke with the team and a manager to request an accommodation to move the stay. Despite my long-standing loyalty as a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, the request was declined without flexibility, and I was directed to find someone else to take my place. I understand prepaid rate policies, but at this price point and brand level, I expected a bit more empathy and discretion, especially given the medical and weather-related nature of the situation. Luxury hospitality should extend beyond the room and a few extra dollars, and into how guests are treated when life happens. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider future bookings at this property and the Marriott brand. read more

This Ritz Carlton doesn't really live up to the name it used to, but then again the standard has slipped over the years and especially now that Marriott controls it. This location, however, has a myriad of issues, as we have learned over our frequent stays. First of all, the rooms are not always up to par - there are random issues with things like the air conditioning, room phone not working, TV having connection issues, etc. I could excuse this at a normal hotel, but a so-called luxury hotel should not have these issues, especially for the price. The same goes for the food; I would be more amenable to spend $100 per person, per meal, if the rest of the experience was to a professional, luxury standard. The bad taste in your mouth over dealing with the hotel is enough to ruin the taste of anything else, in other words. However, the food is admittedly quite good and consistently so between Ritz locations, and the downstairs bar has nice live music and a fun menu. However, for the last point of contention, a very irritating issue is that the room is often not ready on time, which they state is because many people have late checkout, but they do not offer that through their own Marriott points system. Thus, it is more preferable to use American Express Platinum to reserve a room; therefore, their rewards system is undesirable in comparison. It appears to me, also, that they only have one maid per floor, so they are perhaps trying to save money on staff, but it is not fair to the maid to have to clean the entire floor by herself. Again, this may not be the reality but it was from our observation. In conclusion, the Ritz-Carlton of Tysons is nothing more than an average, overpriced hotel. Now, they are apologetic whenever there's an issue, but if they do not hold themselves to a better standard, they are going to lose customers, or perhaps they will have to lower their prices because those with standards will pick a better alternative. I would say it is acceptable to stay here if you want convenience for the mall location, but otherwise you are better off staying at a luxury hotel in Washington D.C. read more

It's the Ritz! I attended a black tie event at the Ritz in Tyson's Corner and it was hosted in their lovely ballroom. Upon arriving into the event, there was complimentary champagne in the waiting area outside of the ballroom along with some finger foods such as cocktail shrimp, bruschetta toasts, chicken skewers, etc. Once the doors opened into the ballroom, I was amazed at the decor. Great attention to detail from the floral settings and candles on the tables. There was an aerial contortionist as soon as you walked in, so cool! It is a huge ballroom so plenty of room if you're hosting for a lot of guests. The live music was exquisite, the saxophonist was so talented! On each side of the ballroom they had a bar area for wine and beer. Close to the entryway they offered a espresso martini bar. I was super excited to try one of the espresso martinis, it was delectable. The ritz logo on top of the drink was a nice touch! As for food, it was served buffet style. Ton's of options to choose from! Some of the offerings were: lamb, slow cooked beef, ravioli, salad bar, etc. The options were endless. The branzino was my favorite! Everything was chefs kiss! I did some business travel and finally have the opportunity to stay at The Ritz . As I've never stated up at The Ritz before I had no idea what to expect. The Customer Service blew my mind as soon as I got out of my car, I could tell that the employees main goal was to make me feel welcomed and ensure that my visit while at the property was as comfortable as possible, and that's exactly what happened. My room was really comfortable and modern. There was a coffee machine snacks for purchase and the TV had both cable and the option to connect to Netflix which I always appreciate. One of the things I enjoyed most about my stay at this hotel, or all of the thoughtful toiletries that were included. They had Q-tips, cotton pads, body lotion, body wash, and really really nice shampoo and conditioner. The king size bed was so comfortable and having an oversize chair in the room with the footstool was really nice. If I had to be super nitpicky, I would've loved to have a few more outlets in the room. My phones in my room didn't work so I wasn't able to just quickly dial for room service or or use the tablet in my room for room service that wasn't working either. They do have a complementary shuttle that will transport you to anywhere you need to go within a 2 mile radius as there were many people that were there for Buisness Travel and going to different venues. It did make the morning commute into the office a little hectic, so for any future guest reading this post, I would definitely suggest chatting with the concierge about your Shuttle needs ahead of time and or planning alternative transportation just to make sure you arrive at your destination on time. The Ritz TC is cool. The glaring reason for my staycation was to be at the luxe mall and take my time as I shopped. The staff were polite and the room was clean. I did so very much enjoy the lighted mirror in the bathroom and the Nespresso machine. I have the Vertuo at home but they had the OG machine and when I tell you, DELICIOUS!!! I lowkey want to throw mine out haha! I think because of the rate that I booked I was not allowed at the club level although I am a Platinum Elite member which was okay... I wasn't in need of that. I did order room service which was decent I ordered the pancakes and a quesadilla which were different from what I am accustomed to but they did the job. Overall, would I stay again, sure... as long as it's connected to that mall in Tysons Corner they will have guests!! Smart move Marriott!! read more

An exceptional hotel that meets the standard of a five-star by every metric. I hosted a few of my friends in my room for an impromptu drinking session, and the staff was nothing short of excellent in letting me know in a timely manner whenever a visitor had arrived in the lobby. Security is tight but not too tight; and the staff is polite and courteous to a fault. The only downsides to staying here are the parking situation; and the lack of accessibility to the metro station. read more

A hearty thank you to Kierra (Check-in hostess) and James (Night Manager) for exhibiting continuous professionalism and making my stay pleasant. There are two options for parking, valet, and self-park. Check with the hotel prior to your arrival as the price may change based on peak periods and other variables that cause a rate hike. There were no issues with the valet and all the representatives were courteous and eager to assist with luggage, the door, and any questions. Check-in went smoothly and I received a full rundown of the property, amenities, and incentives available to me. There was a person to bring my items to my room and he was extremely gracious. Housekeeping stopped by to check to see if any additional items were needed/wanted and they too were uber pleasant. Tyson's Galleria is co-located and you don't have to go outside to get to it. High-end, luxury stores such as Sak's Fith Ave., Lous Vuitton, Balenciaga, and others are at your disposal if you're ready to blow a check. The shopping area has restaurants as well as inside of The Ritz-Carlton for dining variety. I opted to dine at the hotel and it was well worth it. There was live flamenco music that night and it was a welcome addition to adult dining. Other guests were dressed for dinner and no one had on a bonnet, slides, or pajamas. A small issue within the room was addressed and corrected by James in an exemplary manner. Immediate attention was given to the issue and the apology received for the inconvenience was genuine. Well worth the time and money. If in the area, I would definitely stay here again. There is a spa on premises that requires an appointment. Spa services do incur a 20% gratuity. The pool and gym are accessible via your key card. Some of the lounge areas are limited as protocols for COVID evolve. Any questions or needs you may have can and will be answered promptly when you receive their check-in email. It outlines room service, dining menus, and the various services the property offers. Wedding planners and chefs for tailored menus are available if you decide to host a wedding or reception here. read more

I have stayed here several times and each time it gets better. The best thing about this location is the direct access to the mall, even after hours to quickly get to the restaurants. Kids loved the pool, games room and gift for kids at check-in. read more

Decided to do a staycation at the Ritz since I had 2 free nights that were expiring. It's the Ritz so by the default you csn expect the service to be great which it was. The room was comfortable, clean but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, this hotel is very dated which also explains why it's one of the cheaper Ritz-Carltons in the area. The pool area is decent and includes a hot tub. Nothing too extravagant. A plus is that they have adult only hours but I wish they had more lounge chairs that recline allowing for more relaxation. I can't speak on the food as I opted to do Uber Eats and The Palm which is next door. Largely because I found the food to be extremely overpriced for basic hotel food. If I am going to spend coins for food let it be something worth it. The property is connected to Tysons II and near a number of restaurants and shopping. There is a hotel shuttle that will take u anywhere within 2 miles from the hotel. Overall, my stay was nice. I can't give it five stars because the facility is really dated and could use a face-lift. read more

Its the Ritz ! Located in Tyson's Corner ner Washington Dc. Adjoined to the Tysons Gallerria Mall. You drive up to a grand circular dive way to the entrance. Doormen and bell hops are on duty to greet you. I was escorted to the reception desk as others grabbed my bags and parked my car( self parking is available if desired but why not go all out). I was quickly checked in and taken to my room. My bags arrived later promotely and where placed in the closet and room on racks with a brief introduction to the ammenties of the room from the bellhop. The hotel is beautifully decored and furnished. It offers a restaurant, bar and lounge , which has live music on Fridays and Saturdays, awesome Gym with everything you can think of, Feature Spa facility with treatments and more. Steam rooms, suana and Large salt water pool plus whirlpool ! Great lounges by the pool and all the water you can possibly ever drink. Locker room offers showers, robes, shaving needs as well as a great changing area - what it lacks is a high spped swimsuit dryer (sadness) because that woukd be great. I hate taking a wet swimsuit home. The staff is super helpful and plenty to be found. Thats the way a 5 star should be. The hotel has an extensive wine list- so experierment ! Lots of great wines! The food is Incredible ! Everything is delicious and care taken in presentation. Order breakefast in bed ! OmG classic breakfast with 2 eggs sausage, toast, hashbrowns and a order of the Best Pancakes in the world! Yummmm. Just steps away is a great Italian Restuarant- so check them out too. When you are in the need to be spoiled- trust the staff at the Ritz to deliver! 5 star - top notch. Best weekend getaway ever. read more

I had used my AMEX Fine Hotel and Resort credit to have a luxurious night at this hotel! And, it exceeded my expectations! Upon arrival, I was informed that parking is $12/night, and, if I had wanted to, I could use the cost of parking on the $100 hotel credit. I ended using the hotel credit on their spa on the 3rd floor -- where you could spend it on products, a massage, a manicure/pedicure, etc. The 3rd floor is also where their family pool is. The pool did not have that same luxurious feeling of the spa or the hotel's hallways, but, it was still lovely since there weren't that many people there. When I had checked in, there wasn't a suit available for me to upgrade to; however, I was able to receive a room on the top floor and get access to the club experience, worth $200, where they had alcohol on tap, delicious small bites, and a relaxing environment where we were attended to. I had worn a designer dress the night, and the kind lady attending to us had wanted photos with us. There is a bar on the check-in floor that I had explored and ordered their truffle fries. Had a nice crunch but it was lacking in flavor. We were able to take our drinks upstairs to our room. The bar closed at midnight, and the service was great! We were checked in multiple times to ensure that we were having a great time. In our room, there is a mini fridge filled with drinks. Do not remove anything from the fridge unless you're hoping to pay for it. We had removed all the drinks to store some food, and we were given a massive bill afterwards as a result. I had explained the situation to the front desk at ~4 am, and they quickly resolved the issue (great customer service, again!). In the morning, I had ordered their crab benedict, ~$60 for 2 people, and it was delicious. It was more food than I actually finished! This was paired nicely with the smoked salmon from the club lounge that came complimentary with the upgrade. I'm definitely going to stay here again! I had a wonderful time on my mini Staycation at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson's Corner, VA!!! My check-in with DURWA was wonderful!! Very kind... The accommodations were wonderful! From the turned down service to the glass of wine at check in, I will be staying at this hotel again!! Self parking: $13 per day..in the garage!! Breakfast was quick delivery for room service and was tasty!! There are multiple restaurants in the mall to enjoy if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Parking Tip: Park on the 5th floor of the garage, then go up the elevator one floor. It takes you directly to check in counter!! read more

07.23 Stuck in Va for another 5 days so hubs flew in for a date night. We've stayed at the Ritz a few times already but this last one was way off from the usual excellent services the staff provide. On check out day, I drove hubby to the airport pretty early, picked up my mom and came back to have breakfast at Entyse. I had only brought a backpack and a toiletry bag that I purposely left in the room so I can brush my teeth after the meal. Came back to the room and found house keeping had removed all the beddings off the bed and had put away my toiletry bag and placed it in her cart. This was before 11am and I had requested for a 2 pm late check out at check in. I was highly irritated. Front desk explained that they were fully booked that day and could not grant request for late check out. I argued that even so, house keeping does not have a business going in the room especially if my belongings are still unpacked inside the room prior to 11am. She apologized and gave us 10k points toward rewards. I know things happened but it was still very annoying to deal with the whole situation. read more

Very friendly front desk. Al and Bill were nice and efficient, as the operators on the phone. The standout of this hotel was more the staff than the property. I'd say this is a 3-4 star hotel under a five star banner; maybe not what I'd expect from a name like the Ritz. While the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms could use an upgrade - there was really nothing special about these rooms overall. The restaurant below was also average for dinner and drinks. I got the room at a decent rate, but at any higher price probably not too worth it. Valet was pretty pricey. read more
