This burger was unctuously rich and super saucy. I think, for me, two patties was a bit much. I removed one of the patties and the flavors of all the components came through a bit more pronounced and balanced. So, I would stick with one patty on my next visit. Because I dislike wasting food, I also ate the extra patty by itself, and it was great and well-seasoned. The fries were delicious as well: hearty with bits of potatoes skin and fried to a perfect crispness. I will absolutely be back as this is one of the best burgers I've had in Salem!

I was thrilled to find that the scotch eggs were not only delicious but also authentically prepared. The yolk was soft and slightly runny, and the crust was perfectly crisp and flavorful. This establishment is a true hidden gem. While the food prices are a little steep, the quality definitely makes it worthwhile. We will be back!

We sat at the bar so y'all should try their drinks because they looked so good and the bartenders looked like they were having fun making them. The restaurant is a literal house and while charming it is small and packed inside and the parking lot is also really small so you may need to get there early or expect to park somewhere else in the streets. We got there an hour after they opened and it was only a 30 minute wait thankfully. Will be coming back again to try other menu items!

So tsking my own advice and drinking smartly I got a root beer here that was also on tap along with the beer. I don't recall who exactly made the root beer but it was from a brewery and some craft breweries make absolutely fantastic craft sodas and this one was very good! The place seems to have spacious seating but placing orders up at the front counter can get congested. This place is in a cool spot so despite not finding beer I still walked away from it feeling it was a positive experience.

I recognized them from my drinking days the moment they came out. The exact same frozen mozzarella sticks that they serve at most bars. Big, thick, breading comes off the cheese pretty easily as they cool down, big hunk of solid cheese that starts off stretchy and turns into a solid block when cold. My 12 year old son and I didn't finish them, and both me and that kid love fried cheese. Look, it wasn't horrible. But I didn't finish it. And wasn't sad about it. And it cost an awful lot for that, all things considered. If you're at the Yard and just want basic American style diner food, go for it. You'll get what you ask for. But I don't see any reason to go there. Honestly, I have a better burger from Wendy's. :/
