Absolutely wonderful experience seeing bôa in concert. This was my first concert I had ever been to and it was great! The venue is small, but it wasn't terribly cramped even when you're right up against the barricade. All the security were kind and helpful, bending down in front of the stage so people could see, and handing out water after the opener Dream, Ivory. Sound was great too. I'm autistic so I was a little worried I'd get overwhelmed, but the sound was loud and clear enough to hear without being overstimulating.

Had a great first experience at this venue. Easy to get in and out of the building. They dropped the temp real low to prep for the body heat. Three main bars, with a couple of pop-up beer stands on the sides of the main auditorium. The vibe was great. You get a lot of the original old school theater in the walls, ceilings, and moldings. Staff was very friendly. Prices were on the high end, as expected for a venue with club vibes.

The Ritz is a solid venue for catching reliable shows with great energy and sound. It's a go-to spot for artists and events in the area. However, if you're a photographer or part of the media, just be aware that getting access can be hit or miss--staff isn't always helpful when it comes to media clearance. Still worth it for the music, just plan ahead if you're trying to shoot.

This review is more for the experience of #UrbanTrivia that I visited while in Tampa. We did have to wait outside in a long line before they opened the doors at 7pm. It was hella hot, no shade but rules are rules, I guess. Seating as plenty and it stayed cool and lively in this spot. However, drinks, including bottled H²O, as dumb expensive, are $5 per bottle & it was off brand and from the faucet. The drinks themselves were good and did the job but for $13 per 8 ounce drank ‍. The Mixologist were cool and got it right everytime & security was good too.

Such a great venue to see concerts! You feel close to the stage even if you are towards the back. One of my favorite places to see bands perform.

Wanted to give this place a higher review since the stage, sound, and atmosphere are great, but there were a couple major factors that really knocked it down a couple pegs for me. First off, as someone who frequents music venues, theme parks, and entertainment venues in general, the drink prices were nuts. $25 for a double of tittos is pretty steep, especially for a mid-sized venue. Sure places like hard Rock will have pretty steep prices but they also pour insanely heavy. If tittos and captain werent their rails it might have been less of an issue for me but $50 for 2 drinks is pretty wild. Secondly, i totally get venues that want to have a smoking area, but as someone from out of town, whose gf also has pretty bad asthma and was at the show with me, it doesnt make sense to have a smoking room, and is a pretty big health hazard, if you dont close the doors to the smoking room to at least attempt to contain the smoke. If my gf wanted to step out of the main room to get a little fresh air she couldnt because you were just hit by cigar and cigarette smoke the second you walked into the hallway. Totally fine with a smoking room but please close the doors to keep it contained to be considerate to people who might have health issues Otherwise staff was super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was great and the lights and atmosphere were really unique.

My daughter and I came here for a Milky Chance concert. It was packed, but the restrooms were plentiful, the employees were very nice and professional- I saw them booting out quite a few rule breakers, which made us feel much safer. They wanded us on the way in to check for weapons and bombs. They looked through our handbags and gave us quick pro pat downs. The bass was really high which made me feel like my heart was going to explode, but I guess I'm just getting old... lol. The venue was just the right size for an intimate concert. There was plenty of parking with the ramp just down the street, and outside was well lit.

this guy wouldn't get off of me. I was on the rail and he had both of his arms around me ew

Everything here sucks. Crowded, over packed, no security, bad service, expensive (just a bottle of water is $9).

First time going to the ritz... I'm a dude going to see cash cash does it get super hot in there? Should I wear shorts... jeans?

The show I went to was PACKED but the most tolerable temperature I've ever felt inside a venue. Definitely not like 70, but no one was sweating either 😁

If doors open at 5, what time do the band's play ? Going to see Thrice on Sat Nov 11. I think 4 bands are playing.

Usually about an hour after doors open, although sometimes it can be only 30 minutes. The big thing about arriving early is if it is a general admission show you won't get as good a spot to view the show if you arrive later rather than earlier.

Seeing Chase Rice in Feb, but one of my fam members can't stand the whole time. Where's the VIP in relation to the stage, what's the handicapped area like, and are there any chairs in gen admission?

There is a limited VIP room that is open for patrons 21 and older. The VIP area is in the balcony upstairs so the view is great, but the seats are over twice the price. There is also a handicap section available. You'll need to contact the Ritz to… Read more

As we were heading out the parking I mentioned CJ's across the street. We have never been there before but friends of ours do play there once in while. So that's where we headed. As others have stated there is plenty of parking, in the main lot and in back. We parked in the main lot. Walked inside an immediately notice this was a place for music. No bands were playing since it was early. Found a spot at the bar, may have been ten others sitting at the bar. There was only one bar tender working the bar and she was working it. She came and saw us right after sitting and got our drink orders. Not sure if we wanted to eat but we still looked over the menu. We decided to get some food. I noticed they do a smashburger and I am always up for a that. The wife has been watching what she eats and decided on the chicken strips. The food didn't take long to arrive and both looked very good. My burger was done right, double cheesesmash with LTO just the way I like it. I got fries with it as well and I must say these were some mighty good fries. My wife really liked her chicken strips too. They were not battered and not overly fried, still very moist on the inside. She has been trying to stay away from overly fried foods and these were not overly done. I believe she ate them all as well. Since it was early there were no seating issues like I have read from others. And if your a car person they do a last Sunday of the month breakfast buffet and car show in the morning. Looking forward to that. All I can say is give this place a try. May have to go in the evening and listen to some live music. Peace.

Our waitress, who was friendly and clearly trying her best, appeared to be doing everything -- taking orders, serving tables, and possibly even cooking. It wasn't her fault, but it made the entire service feel slow and chaotic. Despite the place being nearly empty, it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our food. That kind of delay would be hard to overlook even during a rush -- let alone a slow morning. Several menu items were already "out" which was confusing and disappointing for a small menu. It felt like they were unprepared to open for the day.

The venue seems to book a few acts a week. You can go online, purchase tickets, and pick your actual seat - they sell seats by the table. We were at Table 20 for The Verve Pipe, and it was a four-top, in the 3rd row of tables, on the side, with an excellent view of the stage. Sadly, they do NOT offer their fabulous cocktails upstairs here, even though there is a bar. If you want to drink something stellar, you will need to walk yourself back down the two flights of stairs, and get it yourself. Instead, they have instructions on each table of how to order a standard cocktail on-line; you choose your basic booze, then your basic mixer, and a cocktail server will bring it out to you and take your credit card. Efficient, but very boring. The venue is small, but the sound was good, with the exception of the two magpies behind me screaming and nattering the whole time. Why go to a concert if you're just going to talk through the entire thing? But I digress.... This is a wonderful venue to go see some surprisingly good artists, and I highly recommend a visit.
