We arrived right at noon, and it became fairly busy about 15 minutes after that. We were welcomed and had great service even though there was only one waitress that was doing it all. We had no complaints. She was very attentive and brought our food out while it was piping hot. There was a special the day we were here...shrimp tacos...and they were by far the best shrimp tacos we have ever had for a mire $3.50. Outside it is a dirt parking lot. My husband and I got dinner tonight from the Silver Dollar (take out). We were both craving a burger but didn't want just some drive thru food and let me tell you... these burgers were soooooo good! And the fries, I wanted more lol. I always get a side of ranch with my burger and fries and this ranch was so good I saved the extra side we didn't use. Everything tasted delicious. Our food was ready in 15 minutes and was nice and hot still when we got home. Everything was nicely plated too even for takeout. Yeah, no. Hard pass. The food was cold and flavorless. The waitress was bothered by our existence and questions. The service was awful and not what I ever expected from a small town. The ambiance was a bar vibe, and it was bar food at best. The fries were decent, and the meatloaf was mushy. Go in to get a beer, maybe, but don't expect food food or polite service. Great place to grab a bite on your way home. Friendly staff, decent prices and tasty food. If you're in the mood for a morning drink, you gotta try the "morning glory". As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat down, our server came right up to us ordered our drinks and was so amazingly sweet. My friend and I asked her to surprise us with a drink and she did not disappoint. The restaurant itself was comfortable and had such a wonderful home town feel. We live in topock now and we are are so happy to have visited this restaurant and plan to come eat here often. I had their fish n chip special and oh my goodness it was delicious! Much better than the topock 66 fish n chips. Prices here are so reasonable especially with the quality of food. Such a cute place and outdoor seating has misters. All around the silver dollar is a wonderful restaurant and we highly recommend visiting. We've now tried their breakfast in the morning. So yummy too! read more

Nice little hidden oasis in the desert , right off the beaten path on interstate 40. I was heading back to California after spending the weekend in the scorching hot heat of Arizona, we woke up early to beat the heat so we didn't have time to eat. After doing a quick search of the area, the silver dollar came up, I read all the reviews and decided to give it a try. I called ahead to make sure there was RV parking and if they we're doing sit down dining , it was a yes on both. It's still on the Arizona side right before the state line so they were still open to sit and dine , they were following all the COVID precautions, we felt real comfortable in there. We were traveling with our dog and five kids , the patio area has misters and a dog bowl for water , so it was perfect for our pet.They even gave us some water for our dog , the staff is super friendly and that was cool of them. Any how there's a big lot right next to them plenty of room for a trailer, boat , or RV parking. We walked in and were greeted by the friendly staff immediately, this place isn't real big it's half Bar half restaurant but still plenty of room for a big party.Just being able to sit down and eat in a air conditioned restaurant was awesome , it was about 112 degrees outside and this was the perfect escape. The food was delicious considering we were in the middle of no where lol.The food isn't fancy by any means but that's ok ,kids loved it and so did I. The food doesn't have to be fancy as long as it's good and the flavors are there. The burgers were delicious, and the service even better. This is the worst place to eat! I ordered two pastrami sandwiches, and they were rotten! The meat is rotten and the cheese is not real! They use fake cheese "sauce" instead to save money, and it tastes like rotten feet smell! The French fries were hard, and the potato salad was horrible! It tastes like potato and mayonnaise! Went there on a whim after a very long day with the family on the river. It smelled amazing the second we got out of the car. We had a large group but they were able to seat us quickly. We ordered and got our drinks pretty quickly. Food took a while but it was delicious and hot when we got it. Restrooms were clean. This place is awesome! Very much a locals place, but with ayce fried fish, count me in! Walked in to a very "homestyle" bar and restaurant, very plain decor, nothing fancy about the napkins, silverware, or the dining area. But it was perfect! The only downside was there was karaoke going on, and the speaker was turned up just a little bit too loud. The singers definitely added to the ambiance! The cook even came out to do a few songs in between making her dishes. The fish was cooked to perfection, amazing prices and our waitress was super helpful! The chuck wagon wasn't it but when I ask the gentleman who was my server if he knew the place I was talking about, he didn't but ended up asking all the regulars if they knew. This is a great little desert diner and full bar. The food is good and very reasonably priced. I tried the mushroom hamburger, and Bill had a turkey melt. Fresh, freshly prepared and yummy. The owners, Jim and Linda Rigdon, treat EVERYONE like family, not just the locals! The customer service here is exceptional. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable about menu items. The wide range of menu items is competitively priced, the portions generous, and the food is high quality. If you leave the Silver Dollar Chuckwagon hungry, it's not because they skimped on your order! On the weekends, one of my favorite breakfast orders is Eggs Benedict. Offered on Saturday and Sunday only, the eggs are perfectly poached. The Hollandaise sauce is always expertly blended, with no one ingredient overpowering the others. Another favorite of mine is their chicken wings. The wings come in eight pieces or 16, and there is a fairly large assortment of sauces to choose from. My favorite is the sweet and spicy sauce. My tip here is to order the wings tossed. Not only does that ensure an even coating of sauce on every wing, it saves one from having to dip every bite. Although I have yet to try all the menu items, I can say that the burgers, the steaks, the club sandwiches, and the regular breakfast menu are all tasty and a good value. The daily specials add to that value. I highly recommend a visit to anyone who happens to visit the Topock/Golden Shores area. read more
