I love that this school had longer hours than any other preschool in the mountains which really helped with our working hours. We were very nervous about what the experience would be like for our twin 2.5 year old daughters. Ms. Chris gave us a tour and answered our zillion questions. She was the only one in the area who responded to us in a timely manner and then was very understanding when we were *quite* thorough with our questions. Immediately, our girls loved the place. Shout out to "Teacher Jessica" who my girls still talk about. I appreciated that they gave us photo updates and that at pickup if there was anything that needed to be communicated from the day, it was done immediately. My girls learned a lot, I love how much playtime they got, their verbal skills immediately picked up pace, and my trust in the teachers was absolutely not misguided. Tmy 1 year old was around 3-4 yr old. They are not around the kids their age. She would arrive home & I'd find bruises. It would either be caused by other students or perhaps the teachers. My daughter would be playing at home and would yell out the kids name that would bully her at school. My mother had an incident with the staff there. LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM, & most of all not the people you'd want your kids to be around for 6-12 hrs a day. My mother entered and saw my daughter in the corner of the room being bothered by another student. Meanwhile 1 teacher looking after 3 classes put together into 1 class. Sitting in a corner. Spaced out not even interested in actually doing her job. The older white lady that's in charge fled out her office very aggressively yelling at my mother. If In a child care facility the person who is in charge is not capable of approaching someone to handle a situation properly then unfortunately the place should shut down . Lack of safety for the children. ANYONE CAN WALK IN. The front office is an absolute mess. It is not clean. There's a trapped smell that is very unpleasant. My daughter didn't last 3 months there. & it's very unfortunate that people have no other option because they work full time.

It seems like our child moving from kindergarten is ready for 2nd grade. Communication and kindness. Ahren's staff are very communication heavy. They made going through Covid easy and painless. Margarita is the best! She knows every child by name, greets them (and the parents!) every morning with a big smile, and always finds a way to make each child feel special, whether it's with a sticker, a small gift, or just her kind encouragement. My son is in the Tiger class with Miss Carolyn, Miss Rebecca, and Miss Esly, and they are amazing! He has such a blast every day. They use this messaging app called Learning Genie and they send us pictures of what they're doing and updates and it really helps make us feel involved throughout the day. He recently transitioned from a half-day to a full-day program, and he's thriving, coming home with crafts, stories, and new skills. He's even starting to read at just four years old! I really appreciate how invested the teachers and staff are in each child's growth. They take the time to communicate with parents, provide progress reviews, and share what areas our kids are excelling in or can work on. You can tell they truly care. While tuition can be on the higher side, they do offer scholarships and subsidized programs depending on financial need. Because of that, there is often a waiting list, so if you're considering enrolling, plan ahead! Overall, this school deserves every bit of five stars.
