The trail is mostly flat and well-maintained, making it totally stroller-friendly and perfect for families with little ones. We arrived around 10:30 AM and finished by 11:30 AM, so it's a nice, short hike that doesn't take up your whole day. Parking was easy, with plenty of spots available. We visited in July (summer), and the mosquitoes were intense, especially near the swampy areas definitely wear mosquito repellent. Also worth noting: the swamp area has a strong smell, so if you're sensitive to odors, that's something to be aware of. We'd recommend avoiding lingering near the water. Overall, a great, low-effort trail for families or anyone looking for a relaxed walk just come prepared for bugs and smells in the summer.

Olivia met us, graciously checking us in and introducing us to Bert. He is an amazing, loving, gentle horse. Very handsome too. The carriage, rigging and harness are all beautiful. It's is immediately obvious that the experience will be first class. The blankets are warm, the sky blue. There is snow on the ground and AJ, our driver, is a delight sharing stories of the horses, her life living with and caring for Bert and the other horses while we enjoy the scenery during our ride! AJ clearly has a special bond with Bert, I image with the others horses as well. She takes a pretty good photo too! The Borges are to be commended, as our their drives and horses. It is never too late to start a new annual tradition.

While, as a previous reviewer mentioned, we can simply thumb the need for quick advisable bits of info online, there's something a little more refreshing when one comes face to face with staff willing to make a road trip such a pleasure as the one my brother and I took a few weeks ago. Generally, I'm the kind of guy who tends to sight see locations of interest whenever I hop in my car and go. While the usual suspect tourist traps pull us in, there's something to be said of taking the road less traveled, and on this particular day, it was definitely worth the side venture. The woman working behind the counter was as friendly as can be. She started up a conversation with both my brother and I, engaging him even further personally in small talk as I wandered about the center taking the kitschy only in Tahoe merch laid about in well organized fashion. Thanks to her bubbly personality, my brother was able to learn about an overlook area allowing these breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe from high the windy above. I never thought to go further along in our travels that day, but such an opportunity to see nature in such grandeur was too hard to pass up. All in all, it was a great experience - a few minutes alone was well spent invested in this short road trip that my brother and I will take as a memorable part of the journey. I highly encourage others who may trek the same road we did, to also stop in and make themselves feel at home. You'll be so glad you did.

From Incline Village to Sand Harbor, to Zephyr's Cove, to entertainment and gaming at South Shore, Fran had tips on what to see and do and covered Lake Tahoe in a very pleasant and conversant way. If you're looking for more nature and traditional camping in the woods, this is not it. But if you just like being outdoors and next to all the restaurants and amenities of Tahoe City then it's awesome. The campsite is woodsy…read moreenough to feel like you're camping, but close enough to the town to enjoy local sites and eateries. (A coffee shop [Coffee Connexion] is just up the way, an easy walk in the morning.) That said, the site is very close to the road, so it's noisy, even at night. Earplugs recommended for a good night's sleep. The road quiets down considerably in the middle of the night, but that doesn't mean the occasional cargo truck won't come roaring by. The facilities are good, with restrooms and showers conveniently located. The men's restroom ran out of paper towels by Sunday evening, but was restocked by Monday afternoon. The showers cost quarters: minimum 50 cents for 5 min (although I times it twice, and it goes closer to 6 or 6 1/2 minutes). There are no lights at the site, except for at the restroom, so have flashlights or headlamps. There are bear boxes to stow food and smellies overnight and while you're away (bring a lock for when you're away). You can't wash dishes at the site spigots or the bathroom, so have an alternate dishwashing plan. The spigot provide good drinking water. Overall, nice campsite. I'd be willing to return.

Geology Tours Tahoe, feels like you're in a Jumani type of adventure with fun hands-on science learning and experience. Signing up for this I didn't know what to expect, as this is beyond my comfort zone, dealing with high terrain, and digging for crystals. But Dr. Montana Hodges made the event so fun in a way that even a non-science person like myself was really engaged. We traveled 45 minutes up a bumpy road with plenty of beverages and snacks that would have lasted a few days! Then we made it to our destination where we learned of the history of Crystal Peak, and how the Truckee river came to be and the various Prehistoric eras. There were plenty of tools to pick and choose from in a group of 7 of us. This definitely was a Sunday adventure to never forget. I was able to luckily find a crystal, so I felt accomplished. There are several tours that Montana provides that I would love to attend! She is very engaging and personable that I felt a connection to Science that I may not have had when I was taking Geology in College. It was neat to learn about Jurassic park, and how the dinosaurs were technically from a different prehistoric era than depicted.Also given the fact that Montana dedicated half of her day to take us on our high terrain excursion, and then had a long hours drive ahead of her the same day was beyond impressive! I'll definitely be looking to plan another Tour adventure and see what other learnings are in store!

Try reading the real zypher cove resort yelp page for the real scoop. Better yet avoid this place, rumor is they are closing down and hopefully will be bought up buy a reputable company.
