I have been going to Runners High since I started running last year. My visits were always for fueling questions and products. Yesterday I went in to get a gait analysts and new running shoes as I encountered many issues during my last half (Halloween Half Marathon). The store was packed (BlackFriday)! However, the service was amazing! The owner kept track of every customer and the staff moved quickly while paying attention and giving the best service possible. I was put on the treadmill for the analysis and then 2 more times with the suggested shoes. This morning I went for my run with the new shoes and what a difference!!!! And the prices were great! They will videotape you running and based on your gait, will begin recommending a shoe that is tailored to your style of running. I recently started running and was referred by several people to this store. I was NOT disappointed. It's located in a strip mall between a Bank of America and a CVS. If you blink, you'll miss it! Byron, the owner, is an amazing individual. He will remember you each time you go in. His inviting smile makes you feel like you've been his customer for years! The rest of the staff is knowledgeable AND friendly! They measure your "gait" on the treadmill to determine which shoe will meet your needs best. They actually try shoes on your feet and will not point over an entire collection of shoes and have you open boxes at random to try them on yourself. The entire process is guided which is great! This place is simple AWESOME!! I have been to soo many places trying to buy the "right sneaker". For several months, i consistently had ankle pain like no other, so much so that i had stop running. My orthopedic sx. recommended i switch shoes, i had gone to several places that "recommended" shoes , so i was hesitant to get anything. I was helped by this wonderful older lady that put me on the treadmill to see my gait, immediately she mention, " i bet you have a lot of ankle pain". I was shocked, no other store had told me that before, i said yes! Still very hesitant, i tried the shoes she recommended and bought them. Now, a month later, no ankle pain and i was able to complete a 5k! I am running again without any pain, feels great! The attention i received and the recommendation are like no other! This place has to be the best athletic footwear store I have ever been to. The owner, Byron, was extremely polite and was clearly an expert when it comes to footwear. He analyzed my run and was able to tell me exactly what shoe I needed. After going through a couple of different pairs that he recommended I chose a pair that I could tell just by standing was exactly what I needed. I love running but I've always had foot problems due to my extremely flat feet so buying shoes has always been a hassle but the people there made it extremely easy and I was able to find exactly what I needed. Runner's High is the ultimate shop for serious runners. The management is passionate about running and it shows. They (free of charge) take video of you running on a treadmill and help you realize better form (i.e. prevent shin splints and other joint pains). More importantly they find you the perfect shoe for your style of running Weird thing about running....you actually have more energy the rest of the day. And even weirder, you eat less. We had Frederico help us out, and he was able to answer any questions pertaining to running/walking shoes, and made his own suggestions as well. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but then again, I was the only one in the shop. I came in to have my gait analyzed because a new pair of shoes I bought was causing me knee and shin pain, which I had never had before. I was hoping for some advice on insoles, new shoes or anything. I was on the treadmill for no more than 15 seconds and they told me that my shoes were fine and I was just "running too much". I was rushed out in less than 3 minutes with no new shoes and whole lot of pain in my legs. read more

This place is all about customer service. Kid needed a new pair of shoes. Maurico helped us out and he was great. Didn't plan on buying because I am cheap, but ended up with a pair for all of us. The prices I found were on point or cheaper than what I could quickly find on line. But the personal service, which you can't get on line, was awesome. The owner, I think, a tall slender gentleman they called "Chief" which he humbly rejected, was addressing business concerns in a professional manner. He appeared to have the support of the staff and all of the employees were very pleasant. I had never been to the store, heard anything about it prior to going and never read a review, like I said I wasn't planning on making a purchase. Upon reading some reviews I found one that mentioned that Byron offended someone by making a positive comment about a song on the radio. That is sad, that someone is offended because someone else likes a song on the radio. Keep it up Byron, stay true to who you are. Always get great customer service. They keep records of shoes purchased, returned, etc.. And it's great that you can try out a shoe and return it later after use. Read some reviews that complained of prices. Unless shoes are on sale you are going to pay the same price for the same shoe at all the running stores in town. Great place to buy running shoes and staff is great. They will video your stride and then recommend shoes that suit you best. Byron who runs that place is very knowledgable and helpful. They carry a more limited selection of shoes which is great since you aren't overwhelmed with options. Overall they really want to help you find good shoes and not just sell you a pair. Wow is this place GREAT! I recently moved to Miami and was sent here by my Physical Therapist. I have a torn meniscus--a re-injury to a tibial plateau fracture. I needed to find the right shoe for my injury. Not only did I get to try on about 6 pairs, but after wearing the pair I bought for a few days, I realized they might be a bit wide. I took then back and they swapped them for a narrow! Great return policy and VERY knowledgeable people. I'll be going back for sure! read more

Just left with my first pair of running shoes, as well as a pair of running socks and hydration belt. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful - even when I wanted to run on the treadmill 3 times in two different pairs of shoes, they were patient and understanding. I never felt like I was even slightly inconveniencing them with all my questions and trying and re-trying the same pairs of shoes over and over. As a new runner, all the advice and care towards finding the right shoes was really appreciated. And I definitely appreciate when I ask which item the employee recommends, and they suggest the least expensive item. It makes me confident that they want the customers to be happy and come back, not just maximize the amount of the sale. It's also great that they have a 30-day exchange policy for the shoes, if for any reason they aren't the perfect fit or cause any irritation. It makes me confident to shop here knowing that I won't be throwing my money away if I run in them for a week or two and for whatever reason they aren't perfect. Overrated. None of the staff even look like runners and that manic loud rude pushy Byron guy is annoying as hell. Shoes are the same you can get at most run specialty shops and online. The lady who helped me was nice but overall I have discovered there are far too many other choices in this town such as iRun, Solerunners, Fit2Run and of course Footworks. This was the worst service I have ever experienced. I went in to look at some new shoes and was greeted by a gentleman behind the counter. He was finishing with a customer and said he would be with me in a few minutes. Once he finished he came over and I was looking at a model that I liked and asked him about colors available. I guess he thought I was not serious and said he carried only the color that he had instock and could check the catalog.he walked off and greeted another customer and started waiting on them. I was still standing there as he sat that customer down and started discussing her options. I always purchase two to three pair at a time when I shop and find something I like and I am treated right. This person had the nerve to say have a nice day and come back to see us as I walked out the door. I guess I wasn't a regular customer and he didn't want to waste his time on a new customer. As good as it gets!!!! I went to the store today for the first time,store close at 6:00 got there at 5:57 and was welcomed with an amazing positive customer service.The owner Byron is amazing!!! Such a sweet and loving person.From the minute I walked in from the minute I steped out he care for me every minute.He asked me what was I looking for I explained to him that I have started the gym like 2months ago and they are now having me run almost every day.He immediately had me put on some shoes to get on the treadmill to run ,he recorded my running and he explained me everything about my run and then recommended me the best shoes for me.At no point at all I felt obligated to buy them or to buy the most expensive one.not at all!!!!! I took a pair that was $104.00 and honestly I don't think is a bad price if you conpare them with other good running shoes from any other brand.Keep in mind,this is not a store where you are just looking for the newest Nike (as an example) to look hot on etc.Yes,I understand we all may want to look hot when working out but this store is more if you are looking for a good pair of shoes that you will use to workout,run,gym,etc.Im extremely happy with my new pair of shoes will be my first pair at this store but not the last and Bayron what can I say,AMAZING!!! Will never go back... 2 people, one of them the owner working the place and 6 people waiting for help. I knew what I wanted, since I've been running local events for only the last 40 years and when I choose my shoes (Asics Nimbus, always) I got chastised publically for not waiting and that help was on the way (from the owner). I mentioned I knew what I wanted and was asked to wait my turn and help would be on the way. I took my shoes to the counter and it was inspected for stolen mechadise. I should have left at that point but the owner stuck his hand out and said that next time he would beat me to the shoes and I wouldn't have to get them myself. I told him there wouldn't be a next time as I shook his hand. Then afterward asked to get off his mailing list. I was asked why a couple of times and repeated the story and finally was dropped from the mailing list. What a controlling sob. Never again. I will stick to the store that always has the knowledge and people who now who the customer is. Not mentioning them to ensure that I am a neutral commentor. read more
