Another breakfast cafe to explore. We saw good reviews on yelp so we had to give this place a try. We had eaten here before when it was a different restaurant, so we were curious to see what they had done with the place. I chose to order the "make you own omelet" selection and added tomato, mushroom, avocado and swiss cheese to my masterpiece. It was very tasty and came with a english muffin and hash browns. Because they were very busy, we chose to sit at the diner counter rather than wait for a table. This worked out fine and there were some TV's to watch behind the counter while we waited for our food. The waitress was friendly and kept checking back with us and kept our drinks full. I thought the decor was a fun fifties diner kind of feel which was much different than the business before. I ordered from the senior citizen part of the menu, only $5.49 and I got two full Texas toast French toast, large piece of ham and an egg. I'm really upset to hear one of the owners of this place has been physically and sexually assaulting his employees. This is a lovely little restaurant. The food was terrific. I got the crispy French toast with sausage, eggs, and hash browns. The hash browns were a little underdone for me, they were soft and I like them crispy on the outside. Still tasted good though. My mom got the Navajo Taco, which was served in a huge platter. No one person could get all the way through that monster. I tried hers, and other than the chili being weirdly sweet, it was really good. My grandma got the hot hamburger with mashed potatoes. I tried her potatoes and they were AMAZING. They manage to put SO much flavor into the gravy it blew my mind. I have a feeling I could eat ANYTHING here and be happy. The best part though, were the atmosphere and the staff. The outside of this place is not pretty. It looks to be an old, probably antique house and is rough on the outside. But the inside is DARLING. Apparently the owner designed it herself. Everywhere you look, there are darling little chotchkies, but it's not cluttered. Just enough to keep you looking around in awe. It's painted my favorite color of light blue, with lots of reclaimed wood and furniture and art. It's really, really beautiful, and calm. The service was terrific. I've loved this place since it opened in 2017. But today was not a good experience. We waited for our food for at least 40 minutes. Let us not forget the 20 minutes we spent waiting to be seated. A group of 6 men came in about 10 minutes after we had ordered and they got served first. Then finally we got our food and they forgot my French toast, according to the severer it was still on the grill. In checking the Yelp reviews, I decided to stop here for dinner accompanied by my bride. A little hidden but that's the fun of it. Once I found the entrance, I parked in the rear parking lot and as we walked in the door, we were immediately greeted and escorted to our table by a very nice employee! Now, the inside of this restaurant has such a cool vibe! I loved the decor and everyone was super friendly. The menu was large with lots of selections for breakfast, lunch, and supper. Beauty is, you can order what you want when you want. I opted for the Cod and my wife ordered the chicken. After selecting my sides, I sat back and enjoyed my Pepsi product. Don't worry, they carry Coke products, too. Dinner was brought out in short order and it was piping hot. Everything was very tasty and the serving size was very generous. Bring your appetite if you plan to eat here. And, you should save room for dessert as I didn't. Next time, I will. Now, if I had to be critical of any one thing, I felt my cod was breaded a bit heavy and my wife felt the chicken was a bit heavy, too. Again, a personal taste thing but still very tasty! All in all, this is a great place to eat and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Super menu selection, clean and inviting. Good for family and groups from the rooms that I saw. Went down today for the first time and ordered breakfast combo with ham, French toast crispy (by far the best thing I have ever tasted) and the kids got some breakfast plates. The breakfast was amazing! Seriously !!! My husbands food on the other hand was not so great. He ordered a country fried steak dinner with carrots and French fries. He said the steak was over cooked and dry and that the roll was stale and fries cold when he got his plate. He hardly touched his food. He did like his clam chowder though. Our waitress was by far the best part. She was very attentive and made sure we was happy! Her name was Teresa according to our bill and she was excellent !!!! Noticed this place a few times when we were on our way to Maddox. This time we came here purposely. Good thing we did. Clean and decent looking on the inside. Not overly crowded and dingy looking so we didn't make a run for the car. Since we didn't see any empty tables we just sat at the counter, which we haven't done in a long time. The server was a bit busy, but she apologized for the delay. When she did get to us she was actually there and attentive. Food was very good. I thought my Chicken Fried Steak was a little over browned, but I have done that at home so who am I to complain. Portions were decent and well cooked.
