It's hotel food, so everything is overpriced. Quality was actually decent though. We all really loved the breakfast - all the goods like avo toast, chicken sausage and bacon, choco chip pancakes, eggs, etc. There's a kids menu for breakfast too which is nice. Lunch and dinner menus are also large and have lots of delicious seafood options too. We had the seafood pasta at dinner and it was really yummy! My grandma came for lunch and absolutely loved her burger. There are also plenty of kids menu items to choose from. Service at dinner was not great. It took hours to eat. After a while we noticed we hadn't gotten our main, and the server informed us that we needed to tell her we were done with our apps and ready for dinner in order for them to fire it off for the kitchen. Interesting system - and probably good to inform guests about this to avoid waiting for food for hours. In any case! It's really sold for a hotel restaurant and we enjoyed all of our meals here.

Drinks, bread service, water were brought quickly. Appetizers did not take too long either and must say the Octopus and Tuna tacos were amazing! We all selected our dishes, and without any issues, they were all brought out. No one had to wait for anyone's dish to come out, they served everyone at the same time and made sure we all had exactly what we had ordered and needed. This time I went with the Branzino with the spinach risotto. And just this dish earns them 5 stars again. Really a great place to come enjoy great food, relaxing atmosphere and excellent service.

Unfortunately, the service has been very inconsistent -- truly hit or miss. The food itself is adequate overall, and the breakfast buffet (which is included) has been good. The buffet items are fresh, and the past two mornings we've had a lovely server who was attentive and pleasant. However, other aspects of the service have been frustrating. Despite being here multiple days, staff have repeatedly struggled to pronounce a very simple name -- JILL -- instead calling out "Geo" or "Byron." At one point I didn't even realize they were attempting to call me, and we were passed over. It's a small thing, but after several days, it starts to feel careless. One evening I ordered a cheeseburger -- just cheese, well done. I clearly and politely stated (three times) no onions, no peppers, no pickles. The server didn't write it down. The burger arrived undercooked and bloody, loaded with onions, peppers, and pickles. I had to send it back. That kind of mistake is avoidable with basic attention to detail. Another night, despite the restaurant being half empty, we were told the kitchen was shutting down for an hour because it was backed up and they didn't have enough wait staff. It was a holiday weekend -- one would think staffing would be planned accordingly. As hotel guests, we're somewhat of a captive audience, so that was disappointing. Overall, the breakfast buffet has been the highlight, and when the service is good, it's very good. But the inconsistency, lack of organization, and poor communication have left us frustrated. Lesson learned -- we'll be dining elsewhere for the remainder of our stay. Oh the view is great !!!

But what I really want to highlight now is that they are finally offering happy hour, something they have never done before, and it is a huge benefit to the locals who are here all summer long supporting this venue. The $10 bites are genuinely nice options, including peel and eat shrimp, fish dip, two sliders, beef barbacoa tacos, quesadillas, and tempura green beans. And the $8 margaritas and lychee martinis are something to write home about. Happy hour under the tiki bar has never been better now that there are specials.
