Definitely in the diner genre and casual, the service was friendly and fast and the portions were huge! Pretty much everyone was walking out with to go boxes. The decor is farmhouse and very quaint. A good hearty meal!

    Sloppy joe special!

I arrived to the Rusty Cow around lunchtime and was greeted and seated immediately. I was impressed with the breakfast and lunch options available. However, my server recommended the special of the day, the sloppy joe. (To be honest, I was a bit surprised there wasn't a fish special, given that its a Friday during Lent. However, since I'm not Catholic, its not a big deal to me.) Back to the sloppy joe- it was very good! Not quite as good as my moms sloppy joes, but still pretty darn good! The fries were also good. Very hot, crispy and fresh. Overall, I would recommend the Rusty Cow and will definitely return!

I stopped for lunch and the place was packed. The inside is very quaint and charming. My server came right over and took my order. After a very short wait she brought my lunch, and everything looked good. I ordered the Hot Beef, and it was tender and juicy and very tasty. This was a good meal for the money. I will be back.

We celebrated Veterans Day at Rusty Cow today. My Dad is a Korean War veteran and Rusty Cow offered a special for all Vets a free meal of Chipped Beef AKA as SOS. We'll my Dad surely enjoyed the meal. Thank you for the kind words to my Dad. I know he appreciates it. We also had eggs and ham, eggs and bacon, chicken strips and a Reuben. Everything good as usual. Thank you again for honoring the vets

We went to The Rusty Cow for a late breakfast recently. We had about a 15 minute wait to get a table, then from the time we ordered till the time we actually got our food was just under an hour. The restaurant was full, but it didn't feel all that busy. More like the people were just camped out for extended periods of time. I saw very few actual tables with food at them. So, we were all clearly waiting for a long time. The owners continually walked around, stopping at tables to talk to patrons, checking on them. As opposed to actually helping out in back of house. I ordered the Turkey Shoot, substitute for Swiss cheese, no onions, with American fries & sour dough toast. My omelet was just okay. It severely needed more cheese in it. The hollandaise sauce was alright, but nothing to get excited about. The American fries were very fresh, but had no seasoning on them. The sour dough toast was actually the best thing on my plate. My partner ordered the country fried steak breakfast, with scrambled eggs, a biscuit, & a side of sausage. He said the eggs were fine, country fried steak was okay, but needed to be crispier. I tried it, the texture was melt in your mouth, but not in a good way. The biscuit tasted freezer burnt, the sausage links were just normal sausage links, the gravy was a little too salty, needed more pepper & sausage. He would describe it as very middle of the road, nothing special. I would say it's pretty disappointing. I wish I could give half stars, because I would ultimately give them a 1.5.

I walked in and saw you could either order on a large touch screen on with a person at the front. I don't mind touch screens, so I went to start my order. The problem is that there are no pictures... so you're not 100% sure what you are ordering. I stopped the order and walked over to the case to order with the employee instead. There was one woman in front of me and she got her items quickly. I ordered 5 items. (See pic below) All of them were fantastic! I really do judge a place by how well they can do a croissant, and this place does them very well!! The employees were very polite but for some reason my order took almost 15 mins to fill... I watched them pull the items from the case, so I'm not sure why it took them so long to do the order. There was only one other person who ordered after me and she had a drink and a box of pastries too... she received her items first. As for the space, it is bland and feels like an old Carribou coffee.... There really wasn't anything that felt "Paris or French" here. Very bland and not very cozy. If you plan on going(the food was very good) order it to go...

The service was wonderful! Everyone was so nice! When my boyfriend tried his drink, it just didn't taste right (iced vanilla latte with 4 shots of espresso) They remade it and were very apologetic! The drinks: I got an iced grandmas house with oat milk! There is no up charge for oatmilk! My wallet and stomach appreciated that! The flavor was really good! Unfortunately even with the remake, there seemed to be something off about my boyfriend's drink... I asked for them to take the vanilla out, thinking maybe be it was the syrup. Note that you have to order here before being seated. Not too bad but does put the pressure on to order quickly so you can be seated before others. I went with the turkey melt and upgraded to fries and my partner got a turkey club with a fries upgrade. Together, this meal totaled just over $40 (no extra drink, we got waters). I feel bad giving a low score because of this but I do have to mention that the prices feel much higher than the quality of the food. Yes, we added fries instead of chips which might be the cause for the higher prices, but you can get two well made burgers for less than this so it doesn't feel justified. Additionally, the food was good but not great. My tuna melt lacked a bit of flavoring and only tasted of mayo. Normally this would be fine for me but not when I paid above average for my food. This really is a nice restaurant and in an area that doesn't have too many of those. Our waitress was very attentive (almost too attentive) and the service was good but I don't think I'd choose to visit again.

Since this was our first time, we had no idea that it was a 'seat yourself' type of place and there were no signs indicating so. We stood at the door being stared at by the patrons and the employees. It took several minutes for someone to tell us we could sit wherever. Finally, our waitress stopped over, took our drink order, but because we weren't ready, she left. She didn't come back for more than 15 minutes. She did apologize, but it was far too long. Prices were reasonable and two specials were offered - our kinda place! My husband took part in one of those specials and ordered the country fried steak and eggs. I ordered the regular steak and eggs. We did substitute an order of toast for the Swedish pancakes (gotta!) It took a really long time for our food to come, which was disappointing. Food did come out hot and my husband was a big fan of the country fried steak.
