Biscuit and jam
Karisa L.

Stopped in to meet a friend on a weekday morning. Coffee shop was fairly empty it would be a great place to work for the day or catch up with a friend. The staff were very friendly. I ordered a biscuit and coffee flight. The biscuit and jam were good nothing crazy. The flight was very good banana foster was my personal favorite but I love having the option to try a lot of different things at once.

They have coffee flights which are fun and change the lineup from time to time! I love their cookie butter latte and usually you can't go wrong with any of their limited time coffee drinks. Their baked goods are also superb!

Silver fern had been on my coffee bucket list for a while now and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere I would describe as cozy and bustling it gets really busy in waves. I ordered a lucky coffee flight that included Lucky Charms Latte ,Tiramisu Latte , Pot 'O Gold Latte ,Pretty in Pistakio Latte I got it hot because the barista said it was more aesthetically pleasing which it was. My friend got the iced one which was also delicious. My favorite would be the tiramisu it was delicious. This place also has some great wine selections my friend did a wine flight the rose was delicious. I also got the avocado toast which was yummy but the flatbread knocked it out of the park so yummy I would go back and order it again. It was crispy flatbread with seasoned homemade fresh ricotta, mozzarella, confit tomato, diced onions, and two eggs finished with a garlic olive oil drizzle and I Added prosciutto definitely a must have. Can't wait to go back!

What a lovely neighborhood place for coffee, small bites and wine! I recently used Silver Fern for a group gathering and it was absolutely perfect! We ordered some flatbreads, charcuterie, nuts and other snacks. There was a great selection of wine, and even signature beverages (with NA options!!). It was so easy to reserve the space (and there was no cost to do so), and the staff were extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place for a drink and a bite at any time of day! (their hours are super broad) and they do wine tastings on Thursdays!

This place is very delicious, the flights were very good, my favorite was tiramisu. And the croissant was okay but nothing special. I do think the place is overpriced, 30 dollars for one plain croissant and a flight of very small coffees.

I absolutely adore this place! I've been a couple times now and have never been let down. The vibes are immaculate and the staff are always incredibly friendly and quick with orders. I recommend getting there as early as possible because it's very popular and fills up quickly! I most recently went to try their fall coffee flight, which included pumpkin spice latte, miso caramel latte, tiramisu latte (with a lady finger!), and a chaider. To my surprise, I liked miso caramel latte the most! I thought it for sure would've been the pumpkin spice latte. The chaider was pretty good too, but a little too sweet for me. I'll definitely be back again soon!

We tried this place for a coffee flight we seen online but once we got there we realized it was going to be too long of a wait for us. It was really busy on Sunday morning which is expected. We ended up grabbing two of their speciality lattes and loved them. It seemed like it was seat yourself so we found a spot to enjoy these drinks. The layout felt spacious even though it was busy. The decor was very modern but lots of greenery. It is in the heart of St Anthony Main in Minneapolis so it would be a perfect spot to start a Sunday funday with your friends. I'll be back to try the flights but make sure to give yourself enough time! It got a 4/5 due to the wait time and confusion on seating yourself or waiting.

Great coffee shop in NE Minneapolis. They have a rotating coffee menu and smoothies make an appearance in the summer. They typically have GF/V bakery items in addition to their full menu. Service is always prompt and friendly. You order the counter and pick a seat at a table. There is bar, communal, and individual table seating. I have found it to be nice for work or just hanging out. Open 8AM-5PM!

Had been hearing great things about the coffee flights here, so wanted to come over to give that a try. We stopped by while the state fair flight was on and the coffees were so good. I also had a breakfast sandwich and we got some pastries, which were all great. I do want to come back for lunch or dinner and an adult beverage sometime as well. Staff were fantastic. We had lots of questions and asks for recommendations and they were so helpful. Made the experience even better.

If you are looking for a coffee and matcha flight, make sure to add Silver Fern to your list! We came here on Saturday late morning and let me tell you it was so busy!! We did have to wait about an hour to get our flights because they ran out of the cups, so it definitely made me more excited to give it a try. There are plenty of seating and tables here, however it's a bit tight especially when it's filled with people. The staff were helpful and friendly, although I am giving this place 4 stars for the price. It was $20 for one coffee flight which seemed a bit steep in my opinion. You can choose an iced or hot flight and can substitute the milk for milk alternatives. Overall, this was such a fun experience and I'm glad I got to experience my first coffee and matcha flight here!

Wonderful little coffee spot to visit in northeast Minneapolis. A step above the 'big box/chain' coffee shops. I consider this as a shop that creates 'craft' coffees. You can get your basic coffee, but the options on the menu here are fun to explore. My friend and I tried the current coffee flight; he also had a Froze (frozen Rosé). The description of the current coffee flight is shown in the caption. There will be a 'summer flight' in the near future. The staff here are smiling, attentive to your order, and pleasant. They have a number menu items which we are going to try the next time we're in the neighborhood. We were there on a Friday in the late-afternoon. The place was pretty full and the noise level was tolerable. There is a counter area so if you're there by yourself, I'd recommend a place at the counter. There did appear to be connections for USB/electric outlets at the counter. I didn't see any near our table. A definite follow-up visit is in the future.

Went on a late Sunday morning date to Silver Fern in Northeast. It's such a cozy spot, but gets super busy so seating is limited. I was craving a latte and a pastry, so decided to check them out. I ordered take out and it came out pretty quickly! The pastry's were limited as I got there later in the morning -- recommend going earlier to get a better selection. Settled for the sweet potato & broccoli quiche with mixed greens and the Miso caramel latte. Both were so completely satisfying! I'm already thinking about when I'm going to go back. Would love to be able to try their coffee flights or their breakfast pizza. Parking is on the street, but didn't have to walk too far. Put Silver Fern on the list of places to check out!

Silver Fern is a lovely coffee shop in Northeast with a warm, welcoming vibe. The staff is always incredibly friendly, and the space has a great ambiance, even if it can be tough to snag a seat since it's usually busy. They do a fantastic job with creative seasonal drinks -- the State Fair coffee flight was such a fun experience and absolutely delicious. Their standard lattes are solid, but the specialty drinks are where they really shine. I also love that they offer wine, and their bakery case is always tempting -- the biscuit, in particular, is excellent. A cozy neighborhood spot that manages to feel both lively and relaxed.

We wanted a recommendation and the wine picked for us was excellent. Went with the Plavac Milos. The food is honestly incredible! The carrots were my favorite. Someday I'll get enough courage to try the tinned fish. I wish seating was a little more comfortable for the whole "drink a bottle and stay awhile" vibe. We pivoted to just a glass and a starter and went some place else after experiencing the place. Though there are 3 staff working the front area, we had to order at the counter. That really pulls us from our date setting. Also, deciding when to join the line to pay at the end? At one point I said, should I pause this story so you can pay or finish the story? Not the date vibe we were going for. It felt like the staff were watching us. The seating was uninviting -- add some pillows to the bench and the stools would be very unpleasant. The music was very loud coming from the front speakers and it felt like we had to talk loud to be heard (and so did the table a couple over from us, which we could hear every word). I'd love to write about the food (great) and wine (seems like a well curated selection) or even the music selection, but overall it was not worth the ambiance. To steal a line from another review (KS, spot on): "[Their] menu invites questions. It invites curiosity and conversation." -- not something you can have in a line at a counter. If we are supposed to order a bottle of wine and stay awhile, I want to feel like we are welcomed. Some warmth and table service would go a long way. We left and had the fantastic intimate dining experience and date night within walking distance.
