Had a yummy hamburger there with curly fries that were a different shape than I was expecting. Also very good.

I understand this is a beloved spot in Purcell, but they are struggling! We had dinner there last night. It was our first time in and there was no one to greet us. We stood there for at least 2 minutes before an employee walked by and said we could sit anywhere. Ok, we found a table. Sat for a few more minutes before a server arrived with menus and took our drink orders. We were looking at the menu and it's not clear what you get with your selected item. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. I wasn't aware it came with fries. But surprise! It did and they were weird. My friend ordered. The chicken fried steak and was told it came with sides. That was not stated anywhere on the menu, so she scrambled and made her choices on the fly. We did enjoy the fried pickles and fried "cheese curds". The quotation marks are because true cheese curds are cheddar. These were definitely mozzarella. My friend is from Wisconsin, so we were sad to see mozzarella, but they were good just not what we expected. We sat in the room that you walk into instead of the room with the bar. All I can say is it was eclectic. Boho meets a longhorn cow. Pick a theme. Will I try again? I don't know. I know they are struggling and would like to support them but they need to look at their menu and hostess/service. read more

I can be very lonely living the vegetarian life in Oklahoma, but the Rusty Knot makes it a little easier. I always order the Rusty Chicken Salad without the chicken. It's a HUGE plate of lettuce with strawberries, pineapple, feta and pecans. Good stuff. They have good appetizers but the majority of them are deep fried which is not so great. I have to admit, though, their fried pickles are to die for. I was disappointed to bite into a spring roll and discover that there was chicken inside, which is NOT listed as such on the menu. They need to fix that. It would also be awesome if they offered a veggie patty option so we could enjoy veggie burgers along with the meat eating crowd...but noooooooo! Service is always excellent with very polite servers. Cocktails tend to be on the sweet side. Really enjoying this place overall. I do recommend it. read more

I really like this place. Overall, I have not been impressed with food in Purcell, but I've eaten here twice and loved it both times. My friend ordered the Knotty Chicken Salad, which is what I ordered last time. It is described as a lightly seasoned and grilled chicken breast with mixed greens, strawberries, candied pecans, sunflower seeds, pineapple, feta cheese and served with our signature champagne vinaigrette. Yes, it is every bit as delicious as it sounds. Today I ordered "WHAT THE DUCK? Wings" This is a pound of duck wings tossed in their homemade apricot honey mustard. My word. The. Best. Wings. Ever. My friend had one and she commented they were moister than chicken wings. And they are, but they aren't as greasy as duck breast. read more

AWFUL. Sat there without even an acknowledgement for 15 minutes. Walked out and said something to the hostess on the way, "thanks anyway". She looked at me and didn't respond at all. Saw 2 locals in the parking lot who had walked out right before us. Had sat there for 40 minutes and only been served 1 poorly made drink. After 31 minutes of waiting for a rare steak, they decided to leave too. Also noted that in 40 minutes, not 1 order came out of the kitchen. 4.5 star review must have been from previous owners or something. Piss poor read more

Chicken fried steak was killer! Big, heavily breaded and with a good side of mashed potatoes & smothered in gravy! Outstanding! Also order the Knotty TBS turkey bacon swiss sandwich with fries which was very good. Staff hustles and is very friendly. Seriously. The BEST sweet potato fries. Janets Coconut Chicken salad on Wednesdays is my absolute FAVORITE salad of all time. Cheeseburgers are delicious. Chicken fried chicken will make you drool. This is a great little place! We were passing through and pulled into town for lunch and a guy at the gas station told us of this place. The walls full of metal signs and decor. The food was very good and service was quick. We will be back when we are through again. read more

DonH and MsC here for linch yesterday. I had burger, the mushroom Swiss and fries. Was good. I ate the patty but not the bun. White bread thing I got! Was pretty good. Fries arenreal potato turn-cut. Were good. DH had a burger and onion rings. I had a ring. Had plenty of breading but was good. MsC had a burger and fries. They each had tea drinks. Myself a Coke no ice. So this was a nice setting sports bar place and I would return. DonH chosen as is his and her home turf. Our barrelrace gang in late this afternoon for burgers after several horse shopping stops. All good here and we all enjoying the nice sitting setting here offered. No comment from anyone. read more

Each time I have been here, it has been above the bar in quality! I travel each workday for sales, & when I get the chance I stop by to see Michael and the crew running this Gem! Michael has been my waitress each time I've been, and she takes care of you as if your her child! Usually any special they're having is what I go with. After reading the reviews, I had high expectations but wound up very disappointed. Just average food.

Great meal! Passing through and chose this place based on reviews. We needed a real meal (not fast food) and The Rusty Knot hit the spot! My husband had the hamburger steak, which was well-proportioned and very good. I had the tilapia, which was seasoned very well. The true test for me was the flavor of the mixed veggies. I generally have very low expectations for this menu item unless it is a feature, but these were actually good! Always nice when a carrot TASTES like a carrot! Friendly, efficient service and very reasonable prices. This place is definitely worth the drive in off the Interstate! PS Great iced tea-brewed and strong! read more

I have eaten several times here and the food has always been good; however, my last visit 10 days ago on a Saturday was not a pleasant one! We were there almost two hours waiting on our food and then received a bill for food we had not ordered. They did try to correct it and gave me a telephone number to call if the corrections were not made on my credit card. On my credit card bill I was billed twice for my food! I wasn't too alarmed since they had given me a number to call to straighten this mess out. I called once and talked to someone and she advised me the manager was out at the time. She took my number and, 4 days later, I still have not heard from them! Trying to call today and only get strange messages! I need my $67 dollar refund! read more
