We had part of the trim on our travel trailer separate from the exterior rear wall/roof. Sent photos and requested a quote then set an appointment time at our home. I hired rv Lad to repair a leak in my motorhome. He did a great job replacing the wet insulation in the over head. Two weeks later the leak was back. I paid 1,024.00 for the repair. Same area was totally saturated after it rained. I asked if I could have 500.00 back, Joseph said I'll get back to you'. Never heard from him again. We were stuck on the off ramp after our awning flew open and broke on our rv. After waiting for 2 hours for AAA I found this company after many phone calls and Google searches. They answered right away. He was just finishing up on a job and got to us within an hour and had us back on the road within 20 minutes. AAA called back to say it would be another 6 to 7 hours. He even took all the measurements to replace the awning and said his turn around time would be about 2 weeks to completely fix it after getting all the parts. We are still waiting on another company after 2 months to fix the fabric on one of our smaller awnings. TL;DR: These folks are fast, friendly, professional, and truly here to help. My morning started with the bottom of my trailer sounding like a typhoon as my roommate's shower seemingly burst our grey water tank! I am a college student at UC Davis, live full time in my trailer [08 Jayco 26ft], and have no way to move my home without a truck rental ($$). I found The RV Lad through Google and rather than website, they had the chat feature.. AND IT HAD GOOD STATS! Their average response time said within minutes and it wasn't lying; they responded promptly within 15 minutes. Within my half hour of getting ready for class I was able to conveniently get a quote for my issue and an appointment scheduled for later in the afternoon. Great receptionist; spectacular customer service. Before my scheduled time I received a text message to inform me that the prior appointment had an unforeseen circumstance and asked that my appointment be moved from 1pm to 4pm. I was totally ok with it and received a call from my technician, Joseph, shortly before 4pm confirming an arrival and he did on-call troubleshooting to assess the situation. He was patient, willing to educate, accommodated interests, and fully diagnosed the issue over phone saving me from an unnecessary appointment (and cost $$). Yep, I was able to fix it with his help and saved. At this point I found out Joseph is the owner of the company. I messaged this company on Monday while camping out of town and it's only Friday and the propane issues I had are ALL RESOLVED! Joseph came over this morning. While he was inspecting the propane tank and hoses, I rambled on about the hot water heater, the refrigerator, and the stove. He listened intently, looked at each appliance and was able to pinpoint a problem with the refrigerator almost immediately. After finding and fixing a propane leak under the trailer, Joseph went all through the refrigerator clearing out webs, repairing a drain hose, and making sure it works just fine now. We had issues while camping over the weekend and had a leaking battery. When we tried to hook the trailer back up yesterday, we quickly learned we had 2 dead batteries and feared the trailer converter might be bad too. We were kind of in a panic because it is hard to make a timely repair appointment and we are taking a trailer out again very soon. Started looking for other repair options. We are always a little hesitant to try a business when we see few reviews, but we took a chance on Joseph and are so glad we did! After talking to him on the phone, we submitted a service request on the website, and had a quote for repair in a fairly short time. We made an appointment for next week, but he had a cancellation and called and came out today. We learned he is a newer businessman, but not new to trailers or RVs. He arrived and checked out everything and discovered it was not the converter! As we had just purchased the new batteries, he installed them and checked out the full system. Everything is working beautifully now! He also fixed our awning which was not closing fully. He did not try to sell us anything we did not need.
