Drove out to see a toy hauler listed on marketplace which had great online photos. Got there and the whole lot was run down and dirty, full of dumpy salvaged rvs they were parting out. The back stunk like rotten food. The trailer in question was left open and had a layer of dirt and dust throughout and had broken and damaged cabinets. Was NOT as described online and just in general disrepair and bad shape. Would not recommend buying here the rvs all looked pretty thrashed. read more

We went here to see an RV they had listed on Craigslist. The RV needed a lot of repairs, which they said they would fix if we put down a deposit. Why do we have to put down a deposit for you to make repairs that are needed on an RV that's been sitting in your lot for many months? Red flag. Really dumb way of doing business. The trailer inside and out was diagusting. Stunk moldy. Appeared to have been in an accident and flood. In my opinion the trailer at best was maybe salvage condition, not the pristine condition it was described to me as. When I contacted the salesman and let him know I was very unhappy that he lied to us about the trailer condition and that we wasted the time, money and wear and tear on the truck he didn't apologize or anything other than saying he would have someone the next day refund the down payment. A waste of 10 hours on the road, over $200 in fuel and the cost of the hotel wasted because the salesman totally misrepresented this trailer. Don't use this dealer. Don't believe a word they say. Get a thorough inspection, and you probably will still have to live with regrets if you deal with B&L RV. Liars!!!! read more

Drove my Brand new travel trailer here from Los Angeles because it had some issues that originated in the factory . I bought my travel trailer in Colorado And by the time I drove it home we have multiple issues with it . Such as some drawers not closing - water filter leaking and the window cracked from pressure . Unfortunately nobody in Los Angeles wanted to touch ( meaning fix ) it because i bought it in Colorado. iI found this gem through a representative for Flagstaff who recommended that I call a couple places .... those calls have led me to this place . Jerry Halsey was the repair guy . He Was quick and sufficient. We had been searching for a a nice used RV for quite awhile. Both through dealers and private party as each may seem to have an advantage. We are new to this and it's been a bit of a challenge finding the right situation for us We saw an ad for a 2004 31ft Winnebago Class C priced well and went to look without much expectation after having been disappointed so many times when we would arrive to see something where ever we were looking. We were met by Peter the sales person, and the RV we saw we really liked. We had a budget we had been working to keep and so the price was a little off from that but Peter without all the back and forth of so many sales people, came back with a fair offer and straight talk and said this is best I can do . And it was a very fair offer and we decided we wanted to purchase. However, we were not fully sure the RV would fit in our side yard. So before signing the contract , Peter offered (he asked us first) if they could drive it up to our house(45 min away) and make SURE it would fit so we were comfortable with the purchase. I said yes and if it for sure fits we for sure have a deal. And it did! They do an inspection of the vehicle (you pay for but worth it) prior to delivery to make sure everything is working and all the seals are set on the roof etc. When we came to pick up the RV, they do a thorough walk thru with you and explain everything and answer any questions you have. The contract process was easy and we did purchase an extended warranty they offered also at a reasonable price that covers 2 more years and 30k miles . Worth it IMO considering you are buying a used vehicle . We drove it home. Later that day as we were setting it all up. We noticed we had some sort of leak from clean water tank. Small but it was coming in. It was late at night and we called and sent Jerry the service manager a note and also emailed Peter . It's a Sat night at 9pm and yet Peter calls me and makes sure we are ok and everything is ok! And says bring it back tomorrow and we will make sure you are totally taken care of and see what is happening. We want you to be totally satisfied. This would not have happened with private party for sure. Also, the reason it wasn't caught during inspection is we think something came loose on drive to our place. BUT bottom line, they were making sure we were good and taking care of it and Jerry also called as well. So they really are taking care of us. We are also having Jerry now place some new laminate flooring in for us as we would rather have that's than the vinyl and carpet . He is doing that for a totally low installation price just because of the hassle. So, was I apprehensive about buying from a dealer. YES, especially after I have been to some others. BUT this experience so far has been really great from the sales to the after care. Sure the place is a shop like feel and don't expect all the fluff and showroomy look. It's a running shoo and not all glitzy. RVs are out and are not totally cleaned on the lot yet until after sale, but you get a real authentic crew there and they have stood behind the sale of the RV and have been super great to deal with. It was very lucky for me to have stumbled upon B&L RV. I was just driving through Sacramento and decided to take a look. I ended up going home with a Fleetwood Jamboree Class C motorhome. And, I am extremely happy with it. Richard and Peter made the buying experience wonderful. They are so honest and forthright, answered all of my first time rv buyer questions, let me check out several motorhomes/trailers and test drive my favorite one. They also fully prepared, tested and checked the whole RV before I picked it up. Most importantly, they trained me on how to use and operate everything which is really important for a noob RV owner. I already know I will buy my next RV here. Other reviews noted that the office is not tidy. Maybe true. But you are also not getting slapped with extra costs for having a posh sales office. We purchased a Used Travel Trailer today (11-23-21). Mr Armed made the purchasing experience delightful. Mark, the Finance Manager, obtained loan approval the next day and followed up with us even though he was out of town. We set an appointment for a pick up date and thorough walk through of the unit. The appointment was kept on time and the RV was detailed and all operational parts were explained in detail by Richard. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to make sure we tested every appliance and knew how everything worked. They hooked up the trailer for us, making sure we knew how to do it in the easiest manner, checked all lights and made sure we were happy with the purchase. After flying in and purchasing my RV here (which was filthy and took me several days to get somewhat clean) there were several items that were found to be damaged, including a radiator that needed repaired and an awning that opened on I-80 and was ripped off, despite never having been opened after driving off the lot. When I reached back out to the company about coming back for repairs, they told me to contact the salesman, who I texted (iPhone noted it was read on June 10th, same day I sent it) and called twice and he never responded (its currently June 19th). read more

We passed by Sacramento and figured we have more problems in our trailer than we thought and without trouble shooting and repairing everything we wouldn't be able to go on our week long trip. We have never experienced such a terrible purchase. Not only was the process before finally being able to pick up awful, when we finally got there to get it, it was FILTHY. And DAMAGED!! It supposedly just needed a "good cleaning", which was supposed to happen before we got there, and that didn't even happen. Even when the kid tried to clean it again while we waited for 3 hours, it was still atrocious. Tried to contact the owner and he never responded to me but had the finance guy call and tell me I could return it if I wanted, after I spent 3 days cleaning and buying things to fix it. Apparently the owner also said it should've been listed as a fixer upper! So when I said no, that was it. They didn't try anything else to try to right this wrong. We recently purchased a motorhome from B&L and I just wanted to thank all the employees that helped us. The salesperson was great. He spent a lot of time helping us pick out the right RV for our family. Shortly after we bought the RV we took our first camping trip. We noticed that the fridge was not staying as cold as it should. When we got back we called the service department and they told us to bring it in immediately and they would look at it. An hour later we were back on the road with with an ice cold fridge. Nice ! I called this dealership to look a a particular RV listed for over a month on RV Trader (2003 trek with 65k miles on it). I told Ahmad that I would be coming up three days prior to look at the RV with intent to buy if it looked like the pictures. I drove 150 miles to see it and when I got there I looked terrible! Nothing like the pictures! Not only that there was a roach from a blunt,(marijuana mixed with tobacco in a cigar) on the kitchen table in the rv. It was dirty and to Ahmad's defense it had not been gone over yet, however there were broken drawers, the shower door was broken and held In place with an improvised clamp and there was moss growing in the interior drivers side window form a leak. Broken locks, broken headlight, water damage in the ceiling, lots of broken odds and ends that would not be able to be fixed without a major overhaul of the body and interior. NADA guides had it priced out at 20k tops with every possible accessory taken into account in good condition and he wanted 30k. No big deal, the part that got me was that when I asked him if he would be willing to negotiate he straight up said "No". My girlfriend and I were kind of surprised and I asked him "seriously"? He said yes and that was the end of that. We told him thanks for the waste of time and left. I should have know when I pulled up and saw that it was a dirty lot in a bad area of town that it would be shady. It says on their website they are the largest supplier in Northern California, what a joke, all the had was about 20 RVs. Most of them like the one I described. They even had the non emergency number to Sacramento PD on the wall in large lettering if that tells you anything. read more

Recently purchased a travel trailer in Louisiana! My first RV, I noticed a few of the electrical outlets not working after I returned to California. I called Berryland RV and they told me I had a year warranty and suggested three reputable RV services contracted to perform warranty work. Two were unavailable for months out. Jerry from B&L Service asked me to stop in a couple weeks. I'll be honest I had reservations from the place definitely needs a woman's touch inside the showroom store, however I wasn't there to purchase anything just get the warranty work on my trailer. I had only received one key for front storage of rig so I asked Jerry where I could purchase another set of keys...he looked at my key and instantly he knew the number, walked right to his key board and grabbed a set, gave them to me and said, Merry Christmas! LOL After two days of leaving my rig with Jerry I called him on status, my trailer was ready to pick up. Upon my arrival alone without my hubby, I walked into office and greeted by a young man, jerry insists on speaking with all customers, sets appointments and performs the work, he's a longtime RV veteran mechanic and specializes in RV services. A little rough around the edges he has a heart of gold. One of his staff tractored my rig out to my Tahoe, hooked me up and also repaired a chain. He was a seasonal employee from AZ. i bought a used trailer from these guys, not knowing anything about trailers. My mistake. 1. The salesboy, Peter, made an appt with me to do a walkthrough and inspection. He didn't show up. 2.. the frig froze all my food from day one. I called, texted many times - they are not answering any of my questions. I had to pay $120 out of pocket to a repair man who fixed the thermister which probably became detached during delivery. 3. the trailer was supposed to be delivered 12/26. i drove 1.5 hours to meet them. they didn't show, didn't call. finally i reached them. the guy said his truck broke down. we rescheduled to 12/28. Then on that day, A tire on the trailer blew out on the way and he continued to haul it. They eventually replaced 2 tires, which tells me they KNEW the tires were bad, since just one blew and the other, upon inspection had cracks in it as well. took them until 1/6. 4. they said they did an inspection and i had to pay $500 for it. I had to ask 4 times for a copy of the inspection report. When they texted me a picture of it, it had NO NAME, NO VIN NUMBER NOTHING ON IT TO PROVED THAT IT WAS AN INSPECTION FOR MY TRAILER. They sent another one with the information on it, but how do i know it was really for my trailer? When the repair person i hired to fix the frig looked at the rest of the trailer, he found an annode rod in the water heater, i believe, that was rusted shut. Some inspection. 5. Today the fuses blew. Calls were not returned. 6. I feel totally cheated. These guys are not responsible. In fact, the owner, Amad, in a typical patriarchal way, with a righteous indignation misogynistic personality, said to me "AFTER ALL WE'VE DONE FOR YOU". I hung up on him because of the way he spoke to me. They delivered the trailer free of charge, supposedly; couldn't wait to get rid of it. Bottom line - do your research and know EVERYTHING before you buy and don't buy from these cheats. Oh yes, they tried to sell me an extended warranty from a company called Compass. as a 3rd party. i read it over, looked up the company and couldn't find out much about it except on blogs. EVERYONE said don't buy it. I didn't, went to Good Sam, bought that, then had trouble with them. Mark was supposed to send me all the paperwork again on Compass but never did. Went back to good sam. You need more? When i finally got inside the trailer, the whole thing was filthy - from cobwebs all over, to spiders and other insects in all the lights, to a bathroom that reeked from old urine running down the front of the toilet. Their showroom was a filthy mess too. I should have known better but i was desperate to find shelter so i could sell my house because i had to close my business due to Covid. Back in the day when we were all younger, my parents were pretty active (mostly my dad) who enjoyed scuba diving, golfing, 4 wheeling with his Jeep, Karate, traveling and RV camping. So when they bought a 1979 Monitor motor home from the now defunct Swift Dodge, it turned out to be a great deal and fit in well with their needs. Then sadly, my aging parents gradually became less and less active to the point that the motor home just sat in the driveway for many years. The day finally came to where this vehicle had to be moved from their property. I ended up getting it signed over to my name because as luck would have it, there is an RV lot in my neighborhood where I could keep it stored for free. After all the memories we as a family had traveling in this motor home, I was excited to take it over and start renovating it with grand hopes of doing some camping of my own. Little did I know that, years of hot summers and cold, rainy weather had taken a toll on its lack of maintenance. That's when I realized that B&L RV was just down the street from where I lived. I started visiting their office every so often to check out what kind of services and products they provided. The property is located just off Stockton Blvd., nestled in an area that may not be noticed unless you are specifically looking for them. Entering the business is very convenient, but exiting is not as easy if you are returning back to the direction you came from due to the traffic that often congests the main street. They offer many services from vehicle repairs and parts, RV merchandise and accessories, to new and used motor homes, campers and trailers. When you enter the main office, there is a small showroom of products to the left where you might find some common and more popular items for sale. The selections are limited, but they have multiple catalogs that carry just about everything you can think of for special ordering. The employees at the reception counter have always been knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions. And I especially wanted to mention one of the employees whose name I forget, but personally came out to drive over to my motor home and help troubleshoot why the engine wouldn't start. He wasn't able to help with the issue, but was nice enough to not charge me a service visit since he couldn't figure it out anyway..... Reality finally hit me that the old family RV was turning into a money pit and my dreams of traveling and camping fun was a dashed dream. I didn't have the finances or the help to get any upgrades under way. Projects were started and never finished; keeping the license and smogging up to date was another source of stress that I couldn't keep up with. Eventually I made the decision to donate it to charity with tears in my eyes and a feeling of loss. It's funny how some vehicles can become an important part of our lives that connect us with happy memories, but then again, I feel relieved that I saved myself a lot of money and hours of unrewarding work on a vehicle that was just too old to bring back to life. read more

It was dirty with food and drinks abandoned on many surfaces. We waited a while before someone noticed that we were there. A sales person was called to the front to take care of us but after standing and waiting quite a while, we finally left. Found this place after California Custom Trailers in Elk Grove provided typical crappy Sacramento area service. I was less than impressed when the bearded dude behind the counter remained seated when I came to the counter and pointed to where I needed to find what I was looking for, but then the tall dude came onto the floor and squared me right away (I should get names but I don't care what their name is, only their quality of service). I bought my trailer from American River Rv at the end of October, before they went out of business, and my trailer came with a 1 year warranty. Well, this trailer has had a plethora of issues, most of which have been minor enough for me to repair by myself. However, when I used it before the snow hit, I turned on the water pump and it began to gurgle like it had air in the lines and about 5 minutes later I smelled propane inside the trailer and the CO monitor went off. I figured I'd just leave it until the snow melted and then check for any other issues that may have come up so I could get them all fixed at the same time. When I called to make an appointment with American river I was told they were no longer in business and that B&L was waiting on factory approval in order to do warranty work on Coachmen's and I should call back next week. So I did and they were still waiting, but I talked to Jerry and he said he'd take a look at it for me and figure out how to deal with payments after the fact, since this was probably covered by the warranty. So I brought my trailer down today and Jerry did it in 30 minutes flat! I was amazed! I was expecting it take at least a week if not a month. He checked my propane pressure and my lines were fine. Then he tried getting the hot water tank to light and when it misfired, the fitting was loose so it shot propane into the living quarters. He caulked the loose fitting and the loose electrical plug in for me and is working perfect now! Jerry is kind, caring and highly efficient. He knows his way around trailers and RVs like no one I've ever met. The people that sold me the trailer didn't even tell me that the water heater could run on electric but Jerry knew before he even saw the thing and then he showed me the switch! 10/10 I highly recommend Jerry and B&L RV. read more

I contacted them about a 2014 Vegas 24.1 RV. They told me the price and I said I will come on over to see it, but that I am traveling 160 miles one way and is it still available? they said yes. After getting there they then let me know that there has been a pending deal on it with a deposit already put down on it. Why would you have me drive 320 miles round trip if there was a pending deal? B and L RV are "over the top" amazing and accommodating. We live 555 miles away from this dealership and after 1 year of searching for the perfect RV for my husband and I, we found it online at B and L. We talked to Ahmed quite a few times on the phone. He was very accommodating and wanted to make sure that we were certain we wanted to do a long distance transaction. We told him that we hired a Certified RV Inspector and he was very happy that we were being so cautious! He was genuine and as honest as we could tell. Our inspector spent close to 8 hours at the dealership, inspecting our unit. Our inspector shared with us that Ahmed was very welcoming and accommodating to him during the entire inspection. My husband and I were happy with the results of the inspection and we purchased the unit. It doesn't stop there, oh NO! We flew to Sacramento CA to make the purchase in person. Ahmed sent one of his staff to pick us up at the airport! After we completed the financial part of the transaction, Ahmed's staff was still busy readying our unit and I needed supplies for the 555 mile trek home and at least 1 overnight stay in our "new to us" unit. Ahmed directed one of his staff to drop me off at Costco about 5 minutes away from the dealership. I picked up some essentials for our 2 day trip and the staff person came back to pick me up! Be careful w/ B&L RV! They essentially doubled bluebk price on the one they sold me & they say they thoroughly vet & fix anything before sales. Wrong! They do not vet the under-chassis at all. There was a loose sway bar & broken rear shock + heat shield was loose & flapping against gas tank. Water system had several cracks & leaked like a sieve, as did the gas fill hose. None of this was obvious at checkout until on the road some miles! And DO NOT purchase their service warrantee--useless!! All is considered "wear & tear" & not covered. They said I cd bring it back for repair but did not offer to ship it from Seattle to Sacramento. Not sure I wd trust their svc dept. in any case given the # of issues!!! These are just the major ones. So much in the "house" was not functional. There were a myriad minor issues as well. Be sure to test drive it twice & negotiate down w/ the price. I found a used 2009 ChaIet trailer on the internet at B&L RV in Sacramento. I live in Palm Desert, over 500 miles away. The price, floor plan and condition of the trailer sounded good. I made the deal by phone with Peter and drove to Sacramento to pick it up. Upon arrival the trailer was washed, the LP tanks were filled and a new battery had been installed. All the systems were operating- the A/C, hot water heater, refrigerator, etc. Once connected to my car the trailers right-turn signal wouldn't work. Jerry was fantastic- without hesitation he replaced the wiring on the trailer end and fixed the issue. He really knew what he was doing, and is a real credit to B&L. Mark quickly did the paperwork, and everything was as promised. Peter made sure all was O.K. before I left. Everyone I met was helpful and efficient. The showroom and bathrooms could use a bit of updating, but I felt welcome and comfortable while there. My 1100 mile trip was worthwhile- the trailer is great.
