I cannot day enough about Vanessa Vale's amazing skills! I was immediately welcomed into this clean, modern salon. I was offered a beverage and was checked on frequently while I waited. Vanessa took her time to ask me a lot of questions to ensure she gave me what I was looking for. She spent hours perfecting my hair. I never once felt rushed or like I was putting her out as the last customer of the night! My new salon and hairstylist!! My only suggestion would be to allow tipping on the card. Thankfully I had some cash on me, but Vanessa deserves way more! read more

After my stylist of over 15 years transitioned solely to barbering, a friend recommended that I go see Vanessa Vale at the newly opened The Salon by Kenneth. I am so glad I did! Vanessa listened to my needs: low-maintenance, edgier for weekends but can transform to professional for my corporate work environment. The coloring looks fantastic and the shag cut is super versatile. It looks put-together after a blowout but the cut really shines when letting my natural curly-ish hair do its thing. I am constantly getting compliments almost 2 months later. I have gone to this salon for a while and they've done a great job until this last appointment. They did not color my hair to my hair goal on my first appointment due to how fragile my hair was - which they did not make clear to me originally- but then said when i went back for a second correction appointment that if i deep conditioned for two weeks they could make me much closer to my goal blonde. If this option was presented to me I would have deep conditioned before getting any work done. Some hair goals aren't attainable but this one could have been. 4 people have made comments about my hair not looking like my typical "barbie" blonde look. While I appreciate Kenneth's attempt to resolve my issue (giving me a product), I have texted everyone I have previously recommended to not get service here and am now going to different salons to get consults on how to achieve the same exact look i've had for over 7 years. Professional, lovey people working here. They handled my problem professionally and with great positivity and kindness. However, I do not recommend my stylist Catie if she can not be transparent in a professional setting if I am paying to look a certain way and don't receive that. I feel unconfident and ugly- which no one should feel after getting their hair done. In the future I hope they can be more clear and transparent so clients can know what to better expect walking out of their salon. For the first time in my life I refuse to even tip for this service. I asked for a partial refund to get service elsewhere and did not receive that. read more

Walking into the salon, one is greeted with an extremely inviting and clean space, along with a set of hilarious and awesome stylists. I stumbled upon the stylist Vanessa Vale on the internet. I quickly researched where she was currently working and she had just switched to this brand new salon, The salon by Kenneth. While the newly painted walls were still drying, they invited me in for an appointment anyway and from that point on, I knew this was the salon I would stick with considering the customer service. Vanessa Vale truly took her time to get to know me and asked plenty of questions about what I had envisioned for my future hair color and cut. She carefully and thoroughly talked with me about what would work best with my personal preferred style and my hair texture. After we both came to an understanding and agreement about my new hair color and cut, she began her magic. My hair looks and feels better than I had imagined. Thanks so much! read more

BEWARE--A few weeks ago I called to get pricing for balayage. I was told that I would need to come in so they could see my hair and give me a quote. That weekend I stopped in and the Salon MANAGER quoted me a price of $130-$140, which in my experience is what I have paid in the past. I went yesterday and when I checked out my total was $275. I was shocked but did not want to cause a scene so I paid the $275 plus tipped the stylist $40. When I got home I called and the salon and spoke with the Salon MANAGER about how this was double what I was originally quoted and way above market. Immediately she started blaming me and told me it was my fault because when I stopped in for a quote she told me to wait for 10 minutes, with my husband and daughter in the car, to speak with the stylist and I did not. Additionally, $50 of the $275 was for blow drying my hair after, which was never quoted to me. Note that there are no prices listed by the salon on-line, or at least I could not find them, and at the salon there are no price lists at the front desk. My husband spoke with the owner Kenneth and he refused to do anything to help despite the doubling of the cost. PLEASE DON'T SUPPORT THIS SALON! There are many to choose from with much more reasonable pricing!!!! read more
