Of all the permanents (body waves) I've had, and they are too numerous to mention, no one has given me such a near perfect perm as Adela gave me. Adela is a pro. She wrapped my hair expertly and knew where to place the rollers for the best effect and finally, how to trim my hair upon completion. The result shows that experience truly matters. DON'T DO IT! I went for color & style on my wedding day. I left looking like Gene Simmons with a 1" thick dark brown smear around my hairline. The stylist argued with me about the color around my face, and said it just looked like my hair. If I happened to be Eddie Munster, that would be true. He did get most of it off, but it left my skin red and irritated. read more

Geralyn has been cutting my family's hair for years. We each have totally different hairstyles and hair textures (super curly and short, frizzy and long, totally straight with layers and medium), and she does the most fantastic job on all of our hair. When I married my husband, he went to her for a haircut right before our wedding. He loved his haircut so much that now he won't let anyone touch his hair but Geralyn, and we drive from the bay area down to Santa Barbara every few months just so he can get his haircut from her. She's also just a great person. I went through a shy stage in high school and she'd cut my hair without embarrassing me with lots of questions, and now that I'm older and more chatty, we happily talk the haircut through. I went to David for a cut and color, and I did NOT leave satisfied. The cut isn't bad, but the color is atrocious. I have light brown hair and wanted some subtle blonde balayage, but I walked out of the salon with a streaky, poorly-blended mess on my head. The bottom part of my hair has a line going across it all the way around my head where he put the color in. Plus, I have one almost platinum piece right in the front, and you can literally see where his brush painted the color on. It looks so tacky and I will never go back. I would not recommend David or the salon in general; it was not a pleasant experience hearing the stylists talk badly about the other stylists not present at the time. A thousand times no. read more
