I had an excellent julep manicure with the owner and I also did a salt cave session called "halo session". The salt cave is truly relaxing and just in the first 15 minutes in there I already started breathing better through my nose which was been chronically stuffed for months now due to inflammation issues, I am so grateful to have found this place and I can't wait to come back for a facial and more salt cave sessions. I found The Salt Cavern on Groupon and got it as a gift for my mom. I decided to tag along too and see what it's all really about. It's located right in Clifton with tons of street parking. It's actually a very small storefront and they have two salt rooms with the same amount of chairs in each. When I called the day before for an appointment the man on the phone was incredibly nice and was able to squeeze us in. I feel like it's very easy to get an appointment here because they do have two rooms so you don't need to book way in advance. We showed up 15 minutes early like we were told and the same man that was on the phone greeted us. He has a very deep and distinct voice which is how I recognized him. He was super nice and answered any questions we had. We opted to take our socks off and have the full experience. You can leave you shoes or socks on if you prefer. I loved going barefoot because it was so nice to have that feel of being on a sandy beach the rest of the day. That's really how I can describe it, once you leave you really feel like you've spent a whole day at the beach breathing in the salt water. The room itself is nothing too special but you're really there for the salt so it's right to the point. It's incredibly relaxing, almost like meditating. We went in with a couple and it was their first time too. They have relaxing music playing and you really just sit back and enjoy. I would definitely go again because I was starting to get sick and I feel like after just one session I didn't get as sick as I normally would have. ive been coming to the salt cavern for over a year, and i truly enjoy it. they have 2 rooms and plenty of openings for appointments. the staff is very friendly and accommodating. rooms and facility are always clean. also, the salt cavern tends to have great packages and specials for sessions ive had issues with other customers in the room in the past (being loud, kicking rocks, being obnoxious) and the staff was very concerned and accommodated me to another session since mine and the other people in the room were not happy. my only complaint is the music. the music isnt too relaxing. sometimes it keeps me up. i feel they need to get something more chill, and possibly even lower it. read more

I've been to one other salt cave before but this one i thought was better. You take off your shoes before coming in and leave it outside. The gentleman gave me a tote bag to put my purse in so it didn't get salt on it. I actually tasted the salt on my lips and once i left, my glasses and a slight dusting on them. I have been coming here for a couple years now. I go when I feel congested or when my psoriasis is flaring up. They recently split the room into 2 rooms which allows a smaller space for the salt ventilation, maximizing the customers experience. There are 6 gravity chairs to a room. The room is covered top to bottom with salt. Sessions are 45 minutes long. You can wear your shoes with booties over them that are provided or can go in with just socks. Can be a bit on the expensive side($50) but they have a Yelp checkin special($20) and often run deals on Groupon($25). Staff is very friendly and helpful. I always feel so relaxed and peaceful here even when the person next to me has fallen asleep and is snoring louder than my husband. Lol read more

Such a beautiful relaxing experience each and every time we go there it is super clean music is just the right level there was a social distancing and we actually had a room all to ourselves the staff is courteous and the owners are very nice. They often have Groupon's and we have been coming to the salt cavern since It opened many years ago. We were pleased to see its beautiful renovation and how it has accommodated and adjusted throughout the pandemic.
