My German shepherd has never been professionally groomed before so I was extremely nervous and cautious about having him groomed / deshedded for the first time outside of our own home. Suds and Scissors did a fantastic job with trimming his nails, bathing, and desheding him. His coat hasn't looked this well since he was a puppy, at home grooming solutions just weren't cutting it. I originally brought my four…read moreMaltese there regularly until they sadly passed, and for the past two years I've continued bringing my two new Maltese, who have been groomed there since puppyhood. Until recently, I had always been satisfied with the grooming quality. However, during our most recent visit, one of my dogs came home extremely skittish and frightened. She would not come near me for over two days, which was completely out of character. I was so concerned that I took her to the veterinarian to make sure nothing was physically wrong. Thankfully, she was fine. I later called the salon simply to ask whether anything unusual may have happened during her grooming appointment and was told no. When I called again to schedule a holiday appointment, I requested our usual groomer and politely asked that they be extra gentle with my female Maltese, explaining that she had seemed unusually traumatized after her last visit. After being put on hold, the manager came on the phone and abruptly told me they would no longer groom my dogs. I was shocked. I had never made any accusations--only expressed concern for my dog's wellbeing and asked for extra care. The explanation given was that they felt there had been "accusations," which I strongly disagree with. After six years of loyalty, I found this response extremely defensive, dismissive, and concerning. Being unwilling to even discuss a client's concern or reassure a long-term customer raises serious red flags for me. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this salon based on this experience.

Nick and his team of pet sitters met all of our requests even short notice changes professionally and when confronted with scheduling conflicts was able to adjust his schedule to care for our pet needs. Though our pets don't talk, their behavior when you come home tells you the care given to them was like you never left. Nick is very responsive to questions and scheduling never leaving you that last minute worry of whether your pets will be taken care of. We can't thank Nick and his team of pet care sitters enough for the exceptional service with our pets and look forward to using his continued great service for our pets.
