    Bourbon Salmon

The greeter was very friendly as well as our waitress. I ordered the fish tacos and my wife had the bourbon salmon. The food was flavorful but the fish in both dishes was slightly dry/over cooked. The atmosphere was cute and friendly.

Cute little downtown place! We went on a Thursday evening and were pleasantly surprised to find it not slammed full. Hostess was nice and offered us options and we chose to sit outside, there was live music and a nice breeze. Service was good maybe a little slow but they did have some large groups. Our drinks were wonderful and served quickly. The crab dip and house made chips were soo good! I would go back for that anytime! My friend got a chicken sandwich and it was huge! I got shrimp kabobs and they were very good and well seasoned.

He ate two of the three sliders. We took this one home. ;)

We visited for our first time. We were able to get a couple seats at the outside bar. We ordered draft beers during the happy hour. The bartenders -Emily and Devin- were friendly, responsive, and funny. We ordered food too. I had fish tacos. The cod had beer breading- not my favorite. Loved the mango salsa but too much slaw on the tacos. I hate to be a critic but I want to taste the Icelandic Cod, and it was hidden. The tots on the other hand were awesome! Very very tasty - Hot and delicious. My husband ordered the Beef and Reef sliders. They have steak and a big ole' shrimp on each slider. The steak was juicy and the shrimp put the slider's taste over the top. He had French fries. They were good but he'd order the tots next time. He said the sliders were the best he'd ever had. Now that's saying something. The outdoor music started up at 5. He was good. We had a few more cold beers. Great place to go! We will definitely be back!

New place in Punta Gorda~ opened about 1 month ago. First time for us..... stopped in to check out the bar area. They had inside & outside seating. The place had a good vibe, so we stayed awhile and ordered the Calamari. The beers were cold, the staff was friendly and the Calamari was fabulous. Served with fried onions on a bed of arugula with a lemon aioli dipping sauce. WOW !!! People sitting next to us ordered the Lobster soup & mussels with some sort of curry sauce, which they said was very tasty. There were several items on the menu we can't wait to go back and try !!!

Brunch in punta gorda! This new spot, owned by same folks from the wonderful Belgium monks, has wonderful service, is dog friendly outside, and now offers bottomless brunch on Saturday and Sunday! Outside is pet friendly, covered, and heaters are available. There is a bar outside as well. Bottomless is $25 (single mimosa us $9). Cremebrulee french toast was terrific, my BF enjoyed the lobster Benedict and we are excited to try avocado toast next time. The pups enjoyedthe sausage as well. Would love to see real maple syrup offered, but otherwise was a great brunch!

Hubby and I ate dinner at the Salty Tarpon for the first time. Fun bar outside that had lots of people. We went early at 5. Happy hour prices so house wine was $1 off. It's a bit pricey, but the food is good. I had the salmon dish with rice and asparagus and hubby had the scallops which he liked, but they were small. He got 4 scallops and fries and asparagus. Food was good, scallops tasted good and my salmon was in a bourbon glaze and it was a nice piece of salmon and perfectly cooked. Our waitress was prompt and so nice and took great care of us. Would definitely eat here again. I want to keep supporting local restaurants hit hard by the storms down here!

The servers had a prompted service with genuine smiles. The music was Suttle but the tvs were all entertaining a beautiful place for a birthday or a friend.

Small but lively place. The service was friendly and efficient. The drinks and food did not disappoint. The buffalo chicken dip is extremely popular. The steak frites was also amazing.

    Fish tacos on lettuce leaves.

The best lobster bisque in town! The service was great! The food was so good! A great place to watch games too! I recommend trying this little gem.

Trying a new spot in town this evening. We are hoping it was just an off night for them. Good things were, no waiting for a table, lots of t.v.s, and Eagles fans excited for the win, so it was pretty loud but understandable. Everything looked new and clean, which I like. However, when it came to the food we had three fumbles and only one touchdown. The menu is limited and a little high for a sports type restaurant. The pretzel cheese bites were pretty good and the serving size was generous. The French onion soup was not traditional with cheese melted over the bowl and toasty on top, but it tasted okay. The coconut shrimp was way over cooked and tough. The mahi tacos had spoiled fish (taste & smell), so they had to be returned to the kitchen. The replacement burger didn't come out until everyone else was finished eating. The skirt steak on the steak frites was very good as well as the fries, but the fries could use some special seasoning, or even a little salt. Maybe we'll give this place a little more time to get settled and try again. Photo from their website link - https://thesaltytarpon.com/

Great food. The fish n chips (fried cod) was a 10 out of 10! Beer was fresh and cold. Bartender was great. Had live music and it was also amazing. Highly recommended!!!

When they first open this place was great! Unfortunately now they have a new chef, and the menu seems to be simplified and the first 3 things I tried to order aren't even available. Service was extremely slow and took 30 minutes to even place the order. Very unfortunate to go from a top 3 favorite restaurant in Punta Gorda to now I'm not sure it hits the top 10.

Walking in was a fun surprise, it was the best Irish Pub experience! Lots of wood all around, the tables, the bar, the walls, dim but cozy lighting, tables and chairs everywhere. It was very inviting! You order at the bar, which is think is a traditional Irish Pub way, our bartender was great and made some awesome drinks that absolutely made up for our day! We had two of the featured drinks, one was a watermelon tonic and the other was an old fashioned and they were made perfectly! Wife ordered the fish & chips. Just OK. Fries were not crispy, still a little white. Cole slaw was bland. I ordered the Guiness beef stew. Dish was only warm, not hot. Flavor was good, not great. Not enough to complain to anyone working there. But certainly would not recommend the place for the food. Plenty of places to drink and root for your team, has options for inside and out. Found a quiet enough place inside, but no TV around. Probably why it was quiet. Thanks, but we'll be trying something else next time.

She found Leroy's Southern Kitchen & Bar in Punta Gorda, and let me tell you this place isn't a restaurant it's a whole Saturday night experience! I walked in thinking there had to be a festival, birthday party, or somebody famous in town. Nope! That's just how they roll every Saturday. Live music, people dancing, everyone smiling I started wondering if they slipped happiness into the sweet tea. Now the wife ordered the Nevermind Pressed Burger with extra cheese and black coffee steak sauce. NEVERMIND?? More like Never mind my diet! One bite then another then another and suddenly her plate looked like the dishwasher had already been there. The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy, cheesy, and that steak sauce should be illegal in at least 12 states. Meanwhile, I ordered the 10 oz. Skirt Steak with jasmine rice, carrots, green onions, and their house made Asian marinade. Listen whoever made that sauce I need the recipe, your autograph, and your retirement plan. I was this close to asking for a to go cup so I could pour it on my cereal tomorrow morning. Mama mia that steak disappeared faster than my paycheck after my wife says, Let's just stop at one more store. Then dessert happened. We saw our neighbors order the homemade Banana Nilla Pudding special. My wife looked at me with that look that says, We're getting one. Fellas you already know that's not a suggestion. Well she got one. I got exactly three bites. THREE! ‍ By the time I looked back, the jar was cleaner than the windows at a car wash. Dear Lord now I understand why my doctor keeps telling me to watch my sugar. That pudding almost had me scheduling my next A1C appointment from the table. The live band had me singing songs from back in the day don't ask which ones. Some of y'all are detectives and I'm not giving away my age! And a huge shout-out to Athena! She knew that menu like she wrote it herself. Friendly, funny, attentive she made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. So thank you, Uncle Leroy! Between the food, the music, the atmosphere, and my wife stealing 97% of the dessert, this was the perfect way to end an unforgettable Father's Day getaway. Five stars. Come hungry leave happy and if you order the Banana Nilla Pudding, order TWO. One for your wife and one that you hide under the table. Trust me.
