She really focused on my problem areas and left a little time at the end for whatever I wanted. The Sanctuary is bright and peaceful. Kristine and Naomi were friendly and professional, putting us both at ease immediately. The massage rooms are airy, pretty and tranquil. Kristine is knowledgeable. My massage was wonderful. The products she used felt good and smelled wonderful. I get massages often and this one was a cut above. Naomi did a great job with my daughter. This was my very first visit. I called their number around 3:15 pm this afternoon (Sunday before Labor Day) on the off chance that I could get a last minute massage. I was expecting a big fat no, but I actually got a yes for 5 pm. Cindy came in for my 60 minute deep tissue and she did not disappoint. The place is quiet, calm and clean. Before starting, Cindy offered water, inquired about injuries and pressure tolerance. The massage was great. She wasn't scared to get in with her elbows and I felt super loose afterward. I was introduced to one of their new massage therapists, Monique, who specializes in traumatic injuries and their effect's on the body's nervous system. Easily booked a 90 minute session. Monique tuned into my specific areas of injury and overuse with her mindful body work skills, which left me exceptionally relieved and functionally aware. Absolutely hands down, the best massage I have had...ever. Kristine welcomed me with open arms, asked how my body was doing and then attended to every sore achy, tight joint, muscle in my body. My hands and feet are full of arthritis. The muscles surrounding my joints are so tight, I ache continually. Kristine just found every tiny tight joint and worked them until they stretched and moved the way they are supposed to move. I made an appt. for my husband and will be here every 2 weeks for myself if it was s at all possible. My wife was looking for a yoga studio in Incline Village and heard about The Sanctuary in Kings Beach. She was also looking for a new exercise and saw that they offered Pilates too. She tried it and immediately signed up for 15 classes with Kim Grow. After the first day she told me how much she loved it and how it worked a completely different set of muscles. I called to schedule massages for 3 people the night before we wanted to come in and they were able to fit all of us in the next morning around 10:30. Kristine gave me my massage and it was amazing. She is very friendly and fun to talk to and, if you want deep tissue, she can kill you with her elbows. The price is also great (since massage should be between $1-2 per minute). I was feeling tense. I could feel the tension in my neck and shoulders. Surely this was a result of my terrible posture and lengthy sessions hovering over my desk, I concluded. I started to focus more on standing straighter and sitting less long, but the tension only increased. How, at age 40, could I feel this out of sorts? A friend suggested a massage from Kris at The Sanctuary. I hesitated, thinking it would only ease my pain during the massage, and then I'd be back to my achy self. After further encouragement, I decided to give it a try. The time I spent with Kris was life-changing. It was like she had known me my whole life or something. Her massage was magical. Somehow she knew all of my pain points without me even telling her. Beyond that, she spoke in such a soothing manner that the nagging voices in my head telling me I was old before my time were immediately silenced. When the massage was over, I dreaded the voices and pain returning, but they never did! I wish I lived closer, but I'm making arrangements to get back to The Sanctuary and Kris ASAP.
