Not the place for a family with younger children. Pretty challenging course and it was just frustrating for our 5 yo and 8 yo. Not for us.

Ughhhh Course is average at best and overpriced. We were nearly finished at 10:00 pm and a family with a 5 year old wanted play. The guy running the place was locking the entrance and told him to go away. The boy looked stunned and very sad. I know it was closing time but have a heart!!! The mean counter person could have let them play. Besides they would have gotten 3 more overpriced greens fees. My family chanted "let him play" but he didn't listen. Will not be back read more

This place is really not great rn. Seem to get worse every year. Stroke limit of 5 makes the game super limiting (for lack of a better term) and most of the holes are hole in ones or twos or guaranteed 5. Add on the fact that the "Sand Traps" that are supposed to add a stroke to your score arent even sand colored, they're just a darker green. Then some of the holes have design issues that can get your ball stuck too easily. THEN the course doesnt scale properly in difficulty. The middle holes are pretty difficult while the latter holes are a tad easier. FINALLY the last hole bothers me. It has two holes, a close and a far. Why would you ever go for far??? Solid family friendly course with great staff! A few holes are excellent, with elevation changes, rocks, and curves. Fountains make for a nice atmosphere throughout the course. Kids can lose their balls in several places like water and tall grass. A lot of typical holes like the windmill. Cool chance to win free games after the 18th hole. read more

Great local mini golf place. We found two for one coupons and brought the whole crew of 11 people (3 kids). We had gone around 7:30/8pm and managed to beat the crowds on a Monday summer night. The course itself is nice- a few loose pebbles or leaves in the way and one specific hole that had leaking water from the waterfall interfere with the hole itself. Other than that it was a nice atmosphere and just the right amount of challenges to the holes themselves. read more

I haven't been here since I was a kid and was impressed to see how well it has been maintained. There is careful attention given to landscaping (it's truly pretty!), the water features are clean, and the actual greens are in good condition. It's well laid out too - even though it was busy we never felt our space was invaded by other players. We showed our Groupon upon entering (great deal, which I appreciated) and had no issues. The gentleman was good-natured. He closes the gate at 10 but didn't rush the patrons who are finishing their games. We had a great experience. read more

Had a lot of fun at the Sand Trap. It is definitely one of the more challenging courses on Long Beach Island. The kids loved all of the fun holes with the bumps and ramps and enjoyed trying to get the ball through just right to get a hole in one! The course is nice and clean. Friendly staff. Coupon in the local paper for "2 play for the price of 1" before 5pm. I'll come back here again, but I'll practice more first! LOL read more

We start our game with the rude guy running the place yelling at us over the speaker for taking his clipboard - then he realized he had it. What a dick. The holes in the course are all slanted upwards. This makes it very difficult for children. The course is very expensive with leaves and debris all over the greens. Bad experience overall - never going back. Go to Flamingo instead. read more

The owner is extremely mean and rude. He is obsessive and kept on asking how many people there were when me and my family were figuring that out. When we left because of how rude he was he said "Your Loss" with an attitude, but it was his loss of 70$! We went two feet down to Hartland Golf and had a great time. read more

Just saw the owner come out and forcefully grab/yell at a little girl for playing near a windmill - both scary and completely unacceptable. Besides that - the course wasn't fun at all and completely packed. Won't be back. read more

We were staying really close from the sand trap during our Summer vacation. Both our children ages 4 & 7 enjoyed it. We found it a tiny bit more difficult than the Hartland. This one takes credit/debit cards while Hartland is cash only thus Hartland gets 5 stars! read more

Good course, well kept, and clean. Nice scenery with waterfall and nice obstacles. For $8 per person, it should be. Can you say cash cow? Wish I thought of opening mini golf 30-40 years ago....Good parking and easy to get to. The course at Fantasy Island is more challenging and has two 18 hole courses to choose from (they're my favorites on LBI) but this one doesn't require a drive to Beach Haven and overcrowded parking lots with constant traffic. This is one of the many great family friendly courses on LBI. You almost can't go wrong with any of them - they each have their own theme and are each unique in their own way. read more

The worst customer service ever. The guy in the stand had no idea how to handle the Groupon we gave him. He said the owner had back problems and he realized there is a problem but couldn't fix it. If you win a prize at the end you are penalized if you used a Groupon slip. Just plain bullshit. read more

Terrible experience. Awful customer service. Decided to try this place when we saw a groupon. Arrived and told the printed groupon was no good and he needed to see it on our phone. I came to mini golf, I'm not carrying a phone. I explain the printed voucher shows you must show via mobile OR printed voucher. He tells me I can go print 10 of them it won't matter and he needs it on my phone. We get a phone and return. He's watching us and calls my teen son over and tells him we need to read the rules. You may not take turns on the green but meanwhile the two large groups ahead of us are taking turns. At the end my sons wins the 3 free games coupon and he's told because he used a groupon, he cannot have those 3 free games. Really awful customer service and honestly we would not even have gone back had they given us the 3 free games. Stay away from this place. read more

First of all, paying 8.25 after 5 o'clock seems way overpriced for this location. The place is basic, and the course is dirty and somewhat boring. Also, the guy working there gave me the wrong amount of change back and when I went back to tell him he didn't believe me. He was too busy talking on his phone. 8 of us went last nite liked the course a lot. The owner or manager was a bit arrogant would not honor a $1.00 off coupon and was argumentative we stayed because some paid already but will not go back again.
