    Burnt burger and bun

Worse burger I've ever had. Ordered Gouda burger - no Gouda. Burnt bun and burnt patty - see photo . Service at bar was good. M my husband's club sandwich was good. Cajun tots had nothing Cajun about them. Very disappointed overall would not recommend.

The food was good the service not so much.. The ambience was pleasant, very clean and inviting. The steam clams were definitely the highlight. The crab cob salad was also good, just not a fan of the house dressing.. Too horseradishy for me. The yellow curry calamari was also very good. We are not sure why the service fell off.. Nobody came to ask how our meal was or offered to refill our drinks. If you don't mind tasty food with bad service, give''em a shot!

Retired, my wife and I live halftime in Ocean Park; we've wanted to check out The Sandbar since it opened. With Yelp reviews all over the board, we walked in today at 5pm... and were treated like royalty. Seated immediately (the place was packed by the time we finished our dinner), Deanna our server was sooo friendly and helpful. We enjoyed an oyster shooter, Gouda mac 'n' cheese, fish tacos, a White Claw, and a perfect Grey Goose martini. All came out quickly (keep in mind, it's Memorial Day Weekend), all was delicious. Deanna checked in several times to make certain we were happy. Before we left, we peeked upstairs at the rooftop deck, and plan to dine there with family when they come to visit this summer. What a great addition to downtown Long Beach dining!

The view from up top is wonderful! You are allowed to bring up food but no alcohol is allowed. We were greeted immediately by a very friendly bar tender. We didnt come for the food we just wanted to check the place out. We will for sure come back!

Everyone was very respectful. The food was amazing and very quick. The flow was good and the area felt very calm. Definitely a place I would come back to.

The ambiance was like a modern garage with lots of open space, windows and natural lighting. It was really Smokey by the front though. We were happy to sit in the back with the open garage door. The service was really slow. Even when there were lots of available tables, we weren't seated right away. The servers were nice and friendly but so slow. And our servers forgot 2 out of 4 of our orders. She eventually served 3 plates but forgot one. It was sad! We ended up taking it home. The clams were popular. It was good. Our favorite was the pork chops. It was unique and flavorful. The rest were just okay.

Last night my bf and I were looking for a place to eat and have some drinks. We were walking on the Main Street and came across The Sandbar and decided to try it out, and boy am I glad we did! The place was busy because of the Seahawks game, but we found a spot at the bar. Heather was our bartender/server and she was so great. She was so personable, and even though she seemed busy she always checked in to make sure we were doing good. At one point she even made a little too much of a margarita and gave us a little taster which was so nice! We shared the Gouda Mac with steak and it was 10/10. I had a couple Cherry Blossom Manhattans and they were so good too! We will definitely be visiting again next time we are in town.

Came with my partner and parents at 12pm. Wait staff was nice and sat us immediately. We ordered by 12:10pm. 3 of our meals were served at 1pm. We waited to eat until when 1 of the 4 meals was finally served. Our food was cold upon eating and completely lacked flavor. My partner order the Orange chicken and it was hard/dry, the texture of dried smoked salmon. My mother and I ordered the Fish Tacos and it lacked flavor, had to ask for extra sauce to stomach the meal. Do not recommend eating from the Sandbar, maybe the food carts are better. The establishment stated "open at 12" but we were later told by our waiter that the kitchen refused to start cooking until 12:30, hence our 1hr long wait for food.

So many storefronts remain empty or are used for weird purposes, such as a remote library. It seems the days of bustling and crowded malls is more in our past than in our future. Anchored by JC Penney's (dying retailer) and H&M, the Capital Mall does not live up to its name. Even the food court leaves much to be desired. The good news, lots of empty parking spaces!

Is this mall a fun place to hang out. Sorta. It's better than nothing. This place is genius because they are dog friendly and have poopie stations with paper towels in case Fido makes an accident and it is this reason that my sister loves coming here- so that our pups can socialize. There are okay restaurants here, but a very small food court with three restaurants which includes a a Philly Cheesteak place with bomb fries and a Panda Express. For some reason this mall has two Wetzel Pretzels. For me the better restaurants aren't in the food court, but on the outside areas of the mall. There's a fancy burger place near the movie theater which is a little overpriced with pretty good burgers, but nothing memorable. If you ask me, the best restaurants are on the outside of the mall and in the parking lots, including a Chipotle, Menchie's Fro Yo, Red Robin, Olive Garden, Applebees, etc. They also have a small Chuck E. Cheese that is a little sad because there's isn't a lot of space for anything there. There are a lot of Spencer Gifts type businesses at this location I guess to entice the teens. For me the fun is from the massage chairs. I have one at home so I don't know why I use these things, but there's something fun about chilling in public. My favorite business here is the Century movie theater which has reasonable matinee prices and lounge chairs that recline.

The indoor seating area is also super spacious, so it's easy to find a spot. There's always been live music playing whenever we've visited, which adds so much charm to the experience - though it can get a tad bit loud, making it a little tough to hear the person sitting right across from you. While we've enjoyed almost all the food we've tried here, I have to give a massive shoutout to the Pinch Spice truck. They have some of the absolute best Indian food I've tasted around here. I find myself constantly coming back just for that single truck! 10/10 recommend One downer has been that at least a quarter food trucks are closed any time we have visited. I recently moved to Olympia from Seattle, and have looked forward to the daily delivery of the local paper. I would love to know if there are any other hard copy newspapers in the area that deliver, because I am getting fed up. I even made a cylinder to receive the paper so that I didn't have to deal with plastic bags that are not recycled here. I installed it under my mailbox so the delivery person would not have to drive down my long driveway. I have to walk for 5+ minutes through the rain to reach my mailbox and the cylinder. It is very disheartening when the paper is not there.
