    Steamer clams so good!
    Nancy C.

Always a pleasure getting to dine here. From the moment you walk in you are promptly seated and the course pace is timed just right. The chef knows how to cook seafood and steaks to perfection and seasoned right. Cozy depot with a variety of dishes to choose from and be sure to save room for dessert. Every item from their menu we have tried have been delicious and would get again, rare to find a restaurant where you liked everything. There's always some specials that rotate daily so be sure to find out about those too. Looking forward to dining here again!

It's unfortunate that this is one of the nicest restaurant in town because it cooks for the target demographic of above 75. Everything was bland and flavorless. Whoever recommended the oyster escargot needs to get their taste buds checked out because saying it is to "die for" is the epitome of the "wtf meme" .

Several locals recommended The Depot and boy are we glad we listened! The ambience is so warm and inviting, you feel as though you're dining at a friend's home. The service is excellent, the food even better! We will definitely return whenever we are in town.

Placed a reservation for 7 with accessible seating and they were accommodating. The service was good and our waitress was exceptional. We all greatly enjoyed our food and have to say it lived up to everyone's great reviews. The only reason I brought this review down to 4 stars is because the steak was not cooked as requested to a medium. However, it was still good. The interior is very cool and has an interesting vibe to it. It is pricey, so if you're looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion or want to eat somewhere "fancier" I'd recommend coming here.

What a great surprise! Camping nearby and we chose this great little place to celebrate my birthday. Amazing dinner, great service and a lovely wine selection. Can't wait to visit again.

The food was amazing, my cup never empty, and bread refilled whenever needed. I loved seeing into the kitchen knowing it was clean and organized. We had apps, entrees, and dessert. All was perfect, this cheesecake was a special of the day best cheesecake I've had by far.

Well I'm bragging to my friends visiting from Alaska and Arizona .. lol polar opposites! I tell them this is not the place to be on a budget or diet! No need to get separate checks because we all had the same choices! Now my friend says he doesn't like calamari .. I'm like sure but this is like nothing you've ever had! My friend grabbed a second helping saying wow!! There's are amazing! Then the perfectly seared scallops came out! They were almost too pretty to eat! Again .. the chef gets it right! Sear to lock in flavors but not over cooked and gummy! Nope .. just yummy! Then comes the clam chowder! Friend note; never had clam chowder with clams in the shell! And I say no flour thickener !! This chowder never disappoints! The perfect manhattan was just that! And those cherries?? Wow! I'm done for now as I gotta eat! Steaks are on the way'

    Southern Comfort Pork. Always amazing!

Update: 6/2/25: The Depot continues to impress! This is our 'go to' place for great dining on the peninsula. They have remained consistent throughout the years, which seems like an unattainable goal for most restaurants on the southern WA coast. Recently, we were celebrating an event with a friend, and I had the Southern Comfort Pork. (I always have the Southern Comfort Pork - it's THAT good.) The pork was amazing. If you haven't tried this dish, you really should. Everyone in my party had an excellent meal.

Crispy, flaky, fresh, and absolutely delicious! My only request is a few more fries because they disappeared faster than my willpower around good seafood. Coleslaw: Let's just say... it had seen some things. The cabbage had already started making its own juice and seemed one step away from becoming sauerkraut. Definitely not my cup of tea. Tartar sauce: Good! No complaints. It quietly did its job. Service: 5/5. The staff were amazing! Super friendly, welcoming, and the food arrived incredibly fast. They definitely earned top marks. Ambiance: 5/5. It had the charm of a classic fishing shack, packed with fun nautical decorations and quirky touches. It felt authentic, relaxed, and like the kind of place where fish stories get bigger with every visit. Overall, I'd happily come back for the halibut, the fantastic service, and the fun atmosphere.

The service was attentive and really efficient, the ambiance is artfully decorated dollar bills stuck in between railroad and coastal memorabilia......it's an eclectic mix for ambiance. But: I just had probably the best clam chowder I've ever had. More clams, big chunks of clams, than potatoes......and somehow even tender, yet still identifiable celery? For real, I'd eat a gallon of that chowder. I almost took some to go. Fortunately, I went a bit jiggy with my fried prawns.....and got the 10pc! Like the chowder, the prawns were beyond excellent. Lightly breaded, tempura, almost. The breading actually had body and flavor....it isn't window dressing! And the prawns were very big, very juicy, and absolutely the perfect level of done.......a revelation among prawns, for sure! The sauces didn't taste like they came off the food service truck either. Both the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were exemplary. The added coleslaw was bright and crisp with just a hint of malt vinegar.....a perfect dressing! I stopped in for just "some food"......what I got was a delightful experience. I'll absolutely be back!
