The staff is awesome but the members are cry babies and play speed golf that don't putt. They hit the green and pick up then call and complain that your only 10 min ahead of pace of play. Do not join this club unless you are an intitled p.o.s. That thinks the world revolves around you. read more

Got a opportunity to play here through golf moose app. After looking at the course online and reviewing it for several weeks ahead of the tournament, I had high expectations. Apparently they were not high enough. Upon arriving the staff was there ready to greet you, unload your clubs out of your car and make sure they make it to your carts. Every single staff member was behind accommodating and super friendly and helpful. The range was nice and the balls were actually pretty decent balls for range balls. The course was definitely worth every penny spent and very well manicured and taken care of even in October. The greens rolled true and we're just on the verge of perfection from being punched probably 6-7 weeks prior. Tees and fairways were super tightly cut which was very nice to see that distinguished from their fairways to the rough to the thick rough to the apron fringe and greens. All of it very distinguishable as it's own. Bunkers were fluffy soft. Food was quickly made after ordering and food was good. Drinks and beer could have been colder but still good. All in all a great experience and club too be proud to be at. Would love to come back and play this again now that I learned a few things on this first round. Great experience. read more

This is a typical country club in the interior. However, the exterior of the county club is breathtaking. The natural elements of mother nature makes the outside impeccable and a one of a kind location. They have a beautiful golf course and a beautiful back drop of beautiful hills and greenest of grass. The air is fresh and it surly is a relaxing atmosphere. They have a ginger beer drink called a Moscow. This drink is delicious. It's refreshing and exotic. I love the taste of exotic ginger so I love this drink. However, if you do not like the taste of ginger I recommend not ordering this drink. Their drinks and cocktails are a good price ranging from a little less than 10$ to about 15$ish. I got their salmon and wild rice dish. It was scrumptious. It was a small portion but perfect for me because I was not super hungry. The salmon was perfectly cooked with a mustard glazed marinate and glaze. It was full of flavor in every bite. read more

I Requested a donation in person with my charitable letter, the pro shop employee gave it to Mgr, who never called me back, after two attempt of calling. I finally got an email from some Robert I believe. Who said he'd look into, a week later I followed with him with no answer. Then a day or two later a kid called and said we've given all our donation out this year! It was the beginning of February! So don't look for donation for the REST of the year! We made a reservation on-line for Easter brunch. We were greeted, seated and served by wonderful people. I don't quite know where my wife booked the reservation but somehow she missed the fact that it is a private club, I saw the signs driving in but assumed Easter was an exception. Oops. If you are seeking the most accommodating, efficient, diligent, top notch venue manager, HERE HE . IS! We came to Alex in a quick pinch (5 months notice) to throw a hopeful New Years Eve Extravaganza Wedding. He made it happen! CEREMONY: We were married at night 6pm (in January so minimal lighting). We married on one of the holes....and used one area as seating for 170 + guests and the other area as a stage. Groom/Bride were essentially on a raised up stage, therefore it was relatively easy for everyone to see us! XO FOOD: First things first, let's talk the good stuff! The Groom & I have been to our fair share of weddings...(Like VERY EXPENSIVE OVER THE TOP weddings). We are personally easy going but LOVE Mexican Food so we requested a Mexican Buffet/Taco Bar situation. And let me tell you this was a HUGE hit for everyone! Every single person LOVED our food! Compliments to the CHEF! In addition, I requested (on late notice no less:) a vegan meal for quite a few of our guests! EVERY SINGLE VEGAN LOVED their meal! (Think Chili Relleno) They were over the top thrilled! DRINKS: We opted for an OPEN BAR (I mean, it was New Years Eve after All!) The coordinator I hired suggested we bring a bar into the grand room, to keep everyone on the dance floor! Alex worked the room & helped us make the room perfect! LOCATION: SOMIS! I personally grew up in Somis and was looking for a venue close to home. This location was sentimental for me due to the fact that I was able to ready at home and celebrate with everyone at this wonderful venue. VENDORS: CATERING, TABLES, CHARIS, LINEN, BAR, SERVICE/WAIT STAFF, were all provided by Alex & the Club. We brought in Flowers, extra specialty desserts, Specialty touches (napkins/cups/decor), DJ, WonderWall (Flower Walls for sweetheart back drop, a Greenery Backdrop for a "selfie-station" & a rose welcome wall for our "guest book" area. I'm not the biggest fan of country clubs because I think it's just a waste of land and water just for grass! However I went to this country club to have dinner with the organization that I work with. The place is nice, really out of the way, the view of Oxnard and Ventura is also pretty cool, however the view from foothill road in Ventura is a little better. The Golf course looks really well kept together, and the dinning area is also really nice, with elegant chandeliers. The only part that i did not like was it's location, it's really out of the way for me! Had it been closer to Camarillo, or in the middle of one of the cities around, the experience would have been better! I say this because I had to drive to the area, so I had to limit my alcohol consumption. Call me an alcoholic, but when you are trying to mingle with your boss, alcohol always help, it wasn't the case here. Although I still had fun! Service was nice! Oh, bathrooms, didn't like how I had to touch the handle! Please get the sensors so you just put your hands next to the faucet and the water comes out automatic! read more

Recently held my parents surprise 55th Anniversary party in the club house and patio...Alex, Marc and the service staff were spectacular! All food, drink, set-up and service was as promised without any complications and the grounds were beautiful. The club house was nice without being stuffy or too casual. SCC was the perfect alternative to the crazy cost of some of the bigger private facilities and more quant and cozy than hotel conference/reception centers. AMAZING VENUE! My Daughter and Son -in-Law just held their wedding and reception here and it was FANTASTIC! Alex was exceptional!!! He did anything and everything to make their day extra special. I had my wedding in May of 2017 at Saticoy Country Club, and it was absolutely perfect. Alex was so easy to work with, attentive, and responded to every e-mail really quickly. I planned from North Carolina, where we live, and he made it so easy. I seriously cannot thank him enough for all he did for us. I really appreciate that he was flexible and worked within my budget. The grounds are beautiful for pictures and ceremony, and the reception room is amazing - they have the most beautiful, romantic ceiling which made the pictures look fantastic. There is also a huge room for the bride/bridesmaids to get ready in that made the day go that much more smoothly. I highly recommend this venue. read more
