Had a lot higher expectations for the renovation. There is currently only one pool open and between the kids and adults it's crowded, the water is murky, and here is no seating around the pool as they are all cabana or reserved seating only, there is supposed to be an adult pool but it is closed due to health restrictions. There is only one bar and the drinks are $20+ each. The rest of the pool deck is away from the actual pool so be prepared to get scorched because although there are plenty of fun games, none of them have coverings so it gets very hot. Bartender is friendly, we had the same guy twice and he remembered the drinks we liked. Drinks are decently priced for the Strip ($13 for speciality, $7+ beer), especially at a pool. There is a cool wave pool that people were trying to surf on but the decor could use a little work. It was just empty cement and some cabanas for the most part. But, cabanas are cheap and lounge chairs are very cheap. The towel shack attendant explained that this pool is setup somewhat different than other pools. You buy a lounge chair ($15 at the time) and it's only for the chair... which is why it is so cheap. The majority of the pools make you commit to a certain price of food/alcohol and then throw in the chair (ex - $100 in drinks and you get a chair). TIP - security does not allow drinks from the outside unless it is a Starbucks cup (random I know) or water bottle. He suggested putting whatever you want into the cups, but just make sure it's in one of those two containers. read more

We were staying at PH and came to this pool. There was a group of like 8 of us, it was great. Like another reviewer said, it's a good pool to get drunk at. hahaha There was a DJ and while it' snot one of the dayclubs/pool parties in Vegas, it was still ALOT of fun. the pool can get crowded at times and you see the murky water full of sunblock. The pool was ok. The water was uncomfortably cold even considering the fact that it's August in LV. My husband and I rented a cabana on the family side. The cabanas here are severely outdated- the ones at Bally's (yes, I said Bally's) are nicer! Come on Planet Hollywood- update these, they are very poor!! When I originally called to reserve our cabana I was told the ones at the 21+ pool were the same as the ones at the family pool. Although the 21+ ones were more then double in price. So of course I picked the family side, which was $177 with a $75 food/bev minimum. I believe the adult side was over $450 with a $200 food/bev minimum?? The cabana seating was awful and I agree with the other reviewer about the couch- or whatever you want to call it. It was pretty much impossible to sit on and the most uncomfortable thing ever. It's like a 5 year old kids bean bag that needs to be "fluffed", but it's impossible to do. So when you sit down you do feel like you will slide right off it. You can try to move around the filling to make a comfortable seat- it doesn't work though. We picked one of the 3 Cabanas that had beach chairs. So it was nice for laying out. Although you will probably only have sun from about 11-4:30, then the sun is behind The Cosmopolitan. The rest of the cabanas are really close to the poolside- and you don't get beach chairs with them. There was seriously ONE waitress working the entire pool on a Saturday! It was really annoying. I thought that since we had a cabana that we'd have a waitress that worked just the cabanas. We saw her maybe every 30-45 mins. I felt really bad for her honestly- she was working her butt off. The website says you get a "VIP host and cocktail server". I don't think so! I saw a host twice. The first time was when I checked in for the cabana, then we went to eat breakfast. The 2nd time was when I asked the cocktail waitress about the bottled water that came with the cabana. 45 minutes later a cabana boy showed up and stocked the fridge. I'm assuming the VIP host is the cabana boy/girl? And everyone at the pool had the same cocktail waitress so there's nothing special there. Later, from our room, I could see that the 21+ pool has way nicer cabanas. They have misters, and appeared to have better seating. It was hard to tell from the 23rd floor but it looked like the had cushions vs an old bean bag. I have a mixed review about the pool. We stayed at the 21 and over pool. We decided to rent a cabana which need to be reserved in advance. They book up quickly. Its not cheap. With taxes and fees it was close to $400!! The cabana came with unlimited bottled water and a fruit platter. The bottled water was great to have. We also had a waitresses assisgned to our area. She was awesome!! The downside is the pool and deck area are small. You have to rent a lounge chair if you want one. Our cabana came with three but not all do The pool itself could use some deep cleaning or an upgrade. I felt like the pool was dirty. First thing of the day there were a ton of dead bugs floating on top. Throughout the day I felt like it got worse. There was all kind of nasty stuff in the water. I think the staff should clean the pool before it opens and maybe spot check during the day. They had a DJ start around 1pm. Bikini dancers. It is a party pool. Everyone was nice. Depends what you are looking for. The downside for me was the lack of space and dirty pool. read more

We stayed at Planet Hollywood for ease, because we were going to a concert there. But one of the main reasons we come to Vegas is for the pool. We have stayed at 10 to 15 resorts on the strip, and "The Scene" pool at Planet Hollywood is by far the worst and most disappointing. There are two underwhelming, square pools, and during our five day stay, one of them was closed for four days. On our final day, we splurged for a cabana, only to find out that it did not include lounge chairs. When we booked it, no one made it clear to us that a cabana where you could actually sit in the sun was $60 extra. When we stepped outside of our $200! cabana to go sit in a lounge chair for a few minutes to get some sun, we were told "you can't sit there, all of our chairs are pre-reserved." In fact, you cannot sit anywhere near the pool without paying a premium. $30 per lounge chair to be exact. These are simple non-padded lounge chairs, by the way. The only place to sit for free is at the patio between the two pools nowhere near the water. You cannot take food or drink in, and the menu is very limited and extremely outrageous. A bottle of water is $9.00. After paying for a premium room, we felt anything but welcome at the pool. As we were leaving, we heard a security guard joking to a coworker, "these people are all going back to Kansas soon, who cares." read more

This review is not about the scene, but really about the logistics of the pool that is free to guests (not the party side that features a B-list celeb). 1) Tanning -- don't plan on getting any sun until late in the morning because whoever designed the building layout planted the pool where the sun don't shine until past noon! I've been eyeing Caesar's jealously seeing how much sun the front of the building gets while I'm still in shade at 11 am. 2) No outside food or beverage -- doesn't apply to early birds with their Starbucks but does apply to those who go to Fat Tuesday's daiquiri bar and invest in 32 oz drinks at 10 am. 3) Cabana and daybeds rentals -- a pool person comes around every two hours or so to check for wristbands. When we were there it appeared no one had come by before 1 pm so they were pretty much first come first serve until then. Even the waitresses didn't care if you paid or not. Considering the aforementioned, the rental cost of a daybed is highway robbery with an automatic $35 gratuity added to it. 4) Setup -- like a holiday inn pool area. Far from glamorous, but wasn't expecting glamorous so no let down there. read more

Planet Hollywood's pools leave a lot to be desired. There are very few lounge chairs on the actual pool decks. The rest are on a concrete slab where you can't even see the pools. You can rent chairs, cabanas and daybeds and then it would be reserved. It's a party atmosphere so be prepared for loud music. No outside food/drinks permitted in the pool area. Bags are checked when you enter but they did let in Starbucks and bottled water. They do have a cafe and bar. We planned to hang at the pool and eat lunch there. I walked into the cafe and literally said "this is it?". It's comparable to a bowling alley snack bar. We needed food so we ordered a personal pizza and chicken fingers. The chicken was so soggy I couldn't take more than one bite. Pizza was okay. There was only one bar top table but it looked like it hadn't been cleaned all year. We had to take our food out to the chairs in 105 degree sun. There were girls running drinks. The first day no one asked us if we wanted anything so I assumed they only catered to the cabanas. We did have someone check on us another day, so I'm not sure why that wasn't always available. read more

Not worth the money. The cabana are super small. We had to walk around asking questions so we could get our cabana. There's nobody walking around to ask questions. We had to ask the lifeguard. The area is dingy. I wouldn't go to this pool again and especially not pay for a cabana. read more

Go to any other pool. These pools are terrible. They're not maintained properly (half the safes don't work on the day beds- which they charge between $75-$125 for with no discount even if it's just before they stop bookings). The tiles are filthy & covered with drinks, the cabanas are not kept clean either. These pools used to be great (around a year ago). They were fun & well maintained. Now they're probably the worst in Vegas. It's sad because they used to be my favourite ones. Won't come here again. Might not even stay at the hotel again, as the pools were a big draw. The only good thing I can say is that the female security guard is lovely. read more

Just don't do it!!! We paid for a daybed. The advertisement says dedicated waitress. There is one for the whole pool. No one showed us which one was ours. No helping with anything, yet the staff who rents them out gets an automatic 18% gratuity. Our daybed was gross, thank goodness for the towels. Once we got our daybed we noticed that lots of the patrons on the daybeds didn't have wristbands to show they paid. No one bothered to check until I complained. I paid why do they get it for free. They offered us a second day for free to make up for it. Appears again that they are free for everyone. Next stop will be the manager for the hotel. We will never come here again. read more

Will never go back to this pool. Went yesterday for Reggae Sundays. Even rented a cabana so we could enjoy the day and listen to good music. Well they played a total of 1 reggae song. Very disappointing considering that is whole reason we were there. This pool is also open to anyone not just people staying at the hotel. There is no charge. So there were many locals. Which I really did not care for. Never again. I will stick to the pools that only allow people staying at the actual hotel. read more

2 stars is generous. We were in the 21+ pool area for at least 3hrs on a Thursday- later afternoon to almost close. We never had a waitress come by to get drinks so we went and got them ourselves. The DJ wasn't very personable, when a song was requested he said we were too low key of a crowd to play it (there was at least 100 people) and that he wasn't even supposed to be playing hip-hop- which is the only genre he played and was what was requested. You can't really tell which chairs are taken because towels and trash stay around them after people leave making it look occupied. May be better on weekends, but week days weren't very impressive. read more

Find another pool. I came here with a group of 12. None of us will be back. There are so many options in Vegas. Don't waste your money or time. We arrived at 10 as the pool was opening. No one had been in the water yet and it was already filthy. At least start with a clean pool. No outside food is allowed, which would be fine if they actually had a decent menu. We started with tater tots. They were undercooked and soggy. So, we switched to hot dogs. Gas station hot dogs that have been out for 24 hours are more appetizing. Pizza is decent in a pinch but don't have high expectations. Our last issue was a discrepancy with our bill. The managers (Eric and Nick) came out to talk to us. We spent around $1000. You would expect that to gain some level of respect. Or at least the professionalism that a manager should carry themselves with. Wrong. There are so many different ways they could've handled it that would been appropriate. They chose none of them. There's no need to escalate an issue that should've been a quick fix. Not to mention it's their job. Hospitality classes are in order. No need to be hostile and degrading. Never again. read more

We stayed at PH Sept 2021 and rented a daybed at the south pool (21+). It was a lot of fun. Loud, definitely, but not having screaming kids was a plus. We got there right at 11am and had our pick of daybeds. Drink service was very prompt and loved our server! The safe under our daybed was broken but they had maintenance out and had it fixed within 30 minutes. We're going back this Sept (2022) and this time I reserved a premium cabana since I was booking far enough in advance that I wasn't paying premium prices! If you book far enough in advance, it's worth it to have a little more space to call your own. With the premium cabanas you also get 2 loungers so you can be in the sun if you wish or in the shade (standard cabanas apparently don't have loungers). They now also have food delivery via an app to the pool, which is nice. What I like is that it's not an overly raunchy frat party like some of the pools. It does get a little rowdy but that's what you expect for 21 and over! read more

I went to PH's adult only Pleasure Pool on a weekday with my gf and three friends. We all had a great time and stayed the entire afternoon. Bottle service kept the booze flowing and the DJ was spinning top 40 and old school mashups. It was a good 30 something/older millennial atmosphere. This review and star rating, however, is specifically a critique of the service provide by Bria, our waitress/hostess and Chris, the bar manager/glorified cabana boy. We live in AZ. So Vegas trips are a regular event, many times each year, as it's a short road trip or a super quick flight away. This time we decided to try out a Groupon for a pool party. It got us a cabana, a fruit bowl, and a bottle of vodka at PH's Pleasure Pool, and we had to pay an additional $80 in gratuity beyond the groupon price. We also purchased a 2nd bottle later in the day. 18% auto grat on that one too. Service for the first bottle was bare minimum: ice stayed filled but beyond that our waitress had no idea how to provide good service: the little things are what matter. The refrigerator was filled with water BUT it also contained somebody else's leftover sandwich. Our private cabana was not so private as the walls between adjoining cabanas were completely open; we got to "enjoy" our neighbors cigar smoke. The remote control for our TV was missing a battery. Our bean bag like couch cushions had not been touched since the last party in the cabana, as the filling naturally shifted to an uncomfortable slope that made you nearly fall off the front end of the sofa. I fluffed and adjusted them myself multiple times so that my friends could actually sit on them comfortably. I also took responsibility for tidying up our cabana all afternoon, as our waitress took no time to dispose of used fruit garnish, straw wrappers, empty water bottles, etc. The straw that broke the camels back was when I had to fetch my own bucket of ice midway through our second bottle. We asked Bria and another waitress at least twice and I even asked Chris the manager for some ice. After asking Chris, I finished the last three quarters of my drink and used the bathroom: STILL NO ICE. So I head inside to get the ice myself. No sooner than I am handed my ice at the indoor bar, Bria shows up not with the ice that she has forgotten but my check with that 18% gratuity that she in no way earned. I asked to speak with a manager about having the auto grat removed. Bar manager Chris came over to the cabana, immediately followed by two different cabana boys with two buckets of ice. Five minutes into our conversation he tries to point out all the ice we have in our cabana as a counter argument to our complaint. He extends no empathy nor apology. He only points out that the service workers union mandates the 18% auto gratuity and that is why he can't remove it. I refuse to sign the credit card slip. He then proceeds to act like he is doing us a favor by not kicking us out. Absolutely unbelievable. I don't understand how night clubs and pools clubs can get away with such poor service and unappreciative, insulting treatment of their guests. If a restaurant provided service like this they would no longer be in business. read more

I really enjoyed the gambling area of the Planet Hollywood pool. All the tables are Black Jack except one 3 Card Poker table. The dealers are friendly and it's a really fun atmosphere where it seems like pretty much anything goes. Everyone is really laid back!! read more

If you're looking for a large, Vegas-style pool... this is NOT it. It's currently 10:30 am and the sun hasn't even begun to shine on the (tiny) pool we're sitting by (the other one is currently closed). Both pools are about the size of a Holiday Inn pool in the Midwest. The majority of the pool area is concrete, so be prepared for extreme heat with little-to-no reprieve. I honestly can understand why there's not a lot of reviews and buzz about The Pleasure Pool pool party at PH. It's a small pool and not your typical rage Las Vegas pool party. I went this weekend with my family and friends and let me just say we had SO MUCH FUN!!!! We got bottle service at our day bed and the service was fantastic, the DJ was great and we danced as if we were at typical Las Vegas pool party. This place is very low key atmosphere and great if you wanna party with your younger family members such as cousins and siblings etc. there were a few groups in cabanas and let me just say they all looked like they were having a blast! Also a bachelorette party. We stayed until the Bikini contest ended and it was so much fun! Apparently the day we went wasn't very crowded but to me it seemed like a great amount of ppl to enjoy the day with, so i cant imagine what a typical Saturday looks like (prob better!!). OVER ALL I do recommend The Pleasure Pool if u wanna relax and party at the same time and I def recommend going Saturday! I will def be going back next time I go to LV. read more

We rented a cabana at the 21+ pool and it was overall a wonderful experience. Depending on where you're coming from in the hotel, locating the pool was kinda tricky so don't hesitate to ask staff. You have to take a specific elevator that will take you to the pool. Check in was easy, just show them your confirmation email or they can also look up by name on reservation. After check in, an attendant will escort you to the pool and will ask you which cabana location you want. We picked the "Santa Monica" cabana. There was a couch with throw pillows, fridge, platter of fruit, unlimited water bottles, designated server, a safe, a flat screen TV that works, misting system, towels and charging outlets. The cabana we chose did not have lounge chairs due to location, but some do. The overall crowd was friendly and the pool...well I can't say it was immaculate so I don't recommend doing lap swimming or opening your eyes underwater for us ladies at least. We rented our cabana on a Friday which offer cheaper rates vs a Saturday or Sunday. We had an awesome time hanging out with friends and would return and recommend. read more

This was the pool at our hotel. The drinks were good here. Just as expensive as anywhere else in Vegas. I liked that there was a 21+ pool and a family pool. It was nice being in a not so crowded area but there was still a DJ. The pools aren't super fancy like Caesars or the Flamingo, but they were definitely refreshing.
