Everyone else had already gotten their wings, steak sandwiches, and fries -- food that actually has to be cooked -- while I sat there wondering if my poke salad was being harvested from the Pacific Ocean one fish at a time. The waitress eventually came over and even seemed surprised when she asked, "You didn't get your poke salad yet?" Nope. Apparently neither did the kitchen, because they seemed to have forgotten it existed. Then, after waiting over an hour, my $22 poke salad finally arrived. We all looked at it and basically had the same reaction: "That's it?" It was served in what looked like a cocktail glass with three wonton chips sticking out of the top. For $22, I expected an actual salad -- not something that looked like it was designed to be displayed behind the bar as a garnish. At that point, everyone else was already finished eating, so I guess my salad was less of a meal and more of a $22 delayed-release appetizer. And let's talk about the drinks. The prices are absolutely ridiculous. Apparently Lucky Beaver has decided their drinks should cost more than drinks in the casino. Maybe the extra money goes toward funding the search party for the missing poke salad.
