Holland Project is a fun, funky venue with a cozy, inviting feel. I've danced here, viewed art, and listened to a lecture. The sound is good, there is room to move, and there are places to just sit and chill.

This was my first time hearing about this particular venue and I'm excited about taking my granddaughter there to see a show on April 5

This place is staffed by a bunch of hunks. Hubba hubba it's nice to find good eye candy in Reno. Great sound, fun venue. Would recommend.

This past weekend I was going to breakfast down the way, and had some time to kill with the wait so wondered on down. This is a GREAT local music shop with small venue in the back. So many instruments and a very cozy/warm atmosphere. The converted house is the perfect building for this type of business. The owner (or one of them?) was quick to greet us and show us around the place. I tried out a couple of vintage instruments when I was there and he was very knowledgeable and informative about what I was playing. Looking forward to coming back for a live performance at sometime. They seem to have routine jam sessions as well as touring musicians stopping by the place.

We rang the doorbell and were greeted by one of the owners, Don, and his dog LadyBug. Don informed us that if we were looking for records, we were in the wrong place but told us to come check out what they DID have. Mountain Music Parlor is a cute little shop filled with all sorts of instruments. So many that you'll have to go see for yourself including endless ukuleles, cricket violins, guitars, and more. The most amazing thing about Don was that no matter what obscure musical instrument or accessory we asked about, Don had it! From cajons to violin mutes. He also showed us the performance room where they have different jam sessions including Celtic nights, Old Time, Cowboy, Aloha Ukulele, Open Mic, and Bluegrass. They also have music lessons available for various instruments. I'm so glad to have stumbled upon Mountain Music Parlor and will definitely be getting all of my musical knick knacks from them for the foreseeable future. Always excited when I can support great local businesses like this!

We walked up to the counter and Cohen was there to help us choose our Brit Floyd Tickets. This will be my 3rd year, but the music is so great, I bought two nights so I could hear The best of the Wall one night, and my friend and I will see The Dark side of the moon the last night. Wow! Well designed, lots of bars and bathrooms. It's easy to get in and out. Traffic flow is usually not too bad. They do have construction happening for the new arena, which means that parking at the GSR is limited, so be aware on show nights and come a bit early. The bar prices are semi-reasonable. They have beer, canned cocktails, and some wine choices. They also have light snacks for purchase, but no real food options. The primary challenge with this venue is the sound. It's just not great. The echoes are noticeable, and it's often way too loud in here. I always feel like I need my earplugs at this venue. Many reviews tell you how great their show was, and I think they are confusing the show quality with the venue quality. The shows here are great, but that doesn't have anything to do with the venue itself. If you are looking for a top-shelf auditory experience, you might want to consider seeing your show at another venue. If you're okay with some sound imperfections, the Grand Theatre is a perfectly fine venue.

I enjoy the people, the bartenders, the ambience, the music, the atmosphere, the enclosed patio, the Sunday dinners & I made lifelong friends... Enjoy going here very much ... It's a true dive bar in the best possible way -- cheap drinks, free pool, good people, hot girls, hot guys, and absolutely zero pretentiousness. The fact that it's open 24/7 is a huge bonus, and being able to smoke inside just adds to that classic dive-bar atmosphere. You never really know what kind of night you're going to have here, but you know it's going to be entertaining. One of my favorite things is Family Day on Sundays. They provide FREE food for everyone, which is something you just don't see anymore. It really gives the place a sense of community that makes it stand out. If you're looking for a fancy cocktail lounge, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want a real bar with character, good vibes, pool, interesting people, and a place where you can walk in at literally any hour -- this is it. Been coming for years and I'll keep coming back.
