Extremely overpriced and under sized for ice cream that's good but not that good to justify!

One of us had a malt. They gift you the malt in your cup but then the metal canister they make it in with extra. It's like you get 1 1/2 malts. I love that they don't dump it down the sink like most other shops! Another one of us had a sundae, then cones. The scoops sizes were good. Between us we tried coffee, vegan mint brownie, strawberry malt, cheesecake and cookies and cream. All of the flavors were so tasty! The staff were also very friendly, which is a nice bonus .

I came here on a Saturday night and the place was packed, with a line forming out the door, but hey, how soon will I be back in Bellingham? Located in downtown Bellingham, Mallard Ice Cream is a shop with different ice cream flavors and desserts and there is a ton of mallard themed items inside, hence, the name. The shop had several seats and tables inside, which were mostly taken on a crowded night. And there was even one point while waiting in line where a dog ran around the shop and everyone just laughed. Gotta love that. I ordered the chocolate and cookies and cream split scoop, which was solid. It's not the best ice cream I've ever had, but I can see why it's a beloved shop by all those up north. I also liked that there were outdoor tables where my dog and I could sit at, and she even had a small scoop of vanilla ice cream to enjoy. If you're in the mood for some ice cream (because when are you not?) and are in Bellingham, Mallard Ice Cream is a shop to check out if you haven't been.

My sister asked if she could have her Reese's ice cream modified to include the mint flavoring from the mint cookies and cream, and they were able to do that for her. There were plenty of vegan and gluten free options as well. Nice kids play park just outside and a riverside area to take a stroll while eating ice cream. Plenty of seating options inside as well. I got the strawberry cheesecake ice cream rolls. They were terrific. Perfectly creamy, and the freshly ground in graham crackers added a nice texture. It was very rich but not overly sweet, and made for the perfect after-dinner treat.

While out exploring Bellingham, my friend wanted Ice cream, and this came up as nearby - so off we went. Right within Waypoint Park Cryo rolls is part of a complex. The two young ladies eagerly greeted us and our pups as we came in and explained to us how it all worked. We picked from the available flavors and asked if we liked toppings added. They were very nice about accommodating and customizing for my friend who is vegan. I went with the "Trix" which was exactly how it sounded...and tasted! If you've ever had a bowl of trix and the milk starts to taste like the cereal as you're eating it, that's exactly how this tasted. It was great. Took me back to childhood. They were also kind enough to hook us up with some "pup cups" for our little guys which they definitely enjoyed. What I really like is how well the ice cream holds. It was pretty warm out and I was able to give my pup his pup cup and was able to eat my ice cream without it melting out. If I'm up here again, I'll be sure to stop in hopefully the Trix will remain a main offering.

I found that some local Sprouts stores were carrying it. I really like it. Like anything, when checking out something for the first time, stay as basic as possible. I tried the Vanilla Bean. All of their flavors display "Full Strength" in front of the flavor name. This is to drive home the point of their concept... no air in the ice cream. Hence, this is very dense ice cream! Of course, they also use excellent ingredients to make this great stuff. I am a fan. It is very concentrated in flavor. It also has a nice mouth feel, very smooth. Loved the Vanilla Bean. Just picked up some Full Strength Raspberry Chip. It's ok, but I prefer the Vanilla Bean. The raspberry is a little on the sweet side.... but still the same silky mouth feel. I am on the lookout for the Vanilla Chocolate Chip, which should be great. Looking forward to more Vanilla Bean and trying some other flavors. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We were walking to dinner and they said we should try the shop out. Carpe diem and obviously it was a sign that we needed go ans get dessert before dinner. Plus, we were gonna share the ice cream so not as bad right? I tried a sample of the mixed berry and coffee flavors and fell in love. The ice cream was so creamy. It was perfect that they do half scoops so I got both flavors. I mean, we didn't wanna ruin dinner. It was perfect! I wish we had this shop in the Bay! It's sooooo good! Gotta come back and visit!
