Located in Fairhaven. Tried their $9.99 flight sample. Since their ice cream has no air in it, making it very stretchy and fluffy. The texture is unique, kind of like melting yet slight watery, not something I expected. Their service is friendly. They also offer good espresso and other sweet treats.

Great little stop for a quick bite in downtown Fairhaven! It had a great central location and a good selection of ice cream as well as baked goods. Service was friendly and helpful, my savory biscuit was like an elevated version of a Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuit, AKA it was amazing! You should also bring your dog, to be added to the great dog wall inside!

Note that ACME Ice Cream Cafe IS OPEN during COVID for TAKEOUT. My family and I stopped by Fairhaven and decided to get ice cream on a warm summer day. We came to this same ice cream store five years ago and so it was nice to see that this ice cream store was still in business. We ordered a double scoop of Amaretto and Zabaglione (Italian Custard) to share. The ice cream scooper described the zabaglione as similar to eggnog and so we gave it a try because it's not something you normally find. The ice cream was rich, dense, and creamy. It was also very stretchy (other reviewers have compared it to a "cheese pull"). You have to twist your spoon as if you were eating spaghetti to eat it. The amaretto tasted more like almond than amaretto; it had slivered almonds and a mild almond flavor but lacked any alcoholic taste. The zabaglione was much better and tasted like custard pudding. The server was wearing a mask and social distancing measures were in place. Overall: 4/5 for ice cream, 4/5 for service, 5/5 for health and safety standards

I was walking back to my car from buying some books at the bookstore when I read the sign that said "caramel apple float" and then walked right in. I've been to fairhaven many times but never have I been here. I also saw that they have house made pastries and treats so I ended up buying a savory roll as well. The only reason my review isn't a 5 star is there was some brush fibers in my roll (from the pastry brush, probably from the egg wash??? I'm not sure). Otherwise it was a pleasant experience over all and very delicious.

We will be back to try

Iced carmel mocha was good and the pop tart was amazing. We will definitely come back to try the Ice cream tonight, looked so good. Service was friendly.

After a long day of walking, we decided to try this place as we have seen pints sold in store before. One thing that suck was that they ran out of cones and ran out a lot of their flavors. Also, there scoops are tiny! A double scoop was probably a size of a single scoop in other places. We got the banana walnuts, the fudge brownie, the raspberry chip and the amaretto. Every flavor was bold and distinct which is nice. The only one I didn't like much was the armaretto but that is just my preference. Certain ice cream had different texture. We were able to do a 'cheese pull' on one of them haha while the one was standard.

Phenomenal Fairhaven ice cream! In this little adorable historic hamlet of Bellingham. Looking to yelp while visiting Fabulous Fairhaven I came across this donut & ice cream parlor. I was offered tastes and was blow away with the flavors, texture and quality of Acme Ice cream. I tried the Banana Walnut which was delicious and vanilla, the best vanilla ice cream I have ever had. My husband enjoyed the hot fudge sundae. Reasonably priced and well worth it. I wish they were in my hood.

Seriously good ice cream in Fairhaven. Parking is available on the side streets as well as a lot about a block away. Inside has a 1950s theme. There's a shiny rocket above the front counter, hence the name. Staff were friendly. The donuts looked good but I didn't try. They give samples for the ice cream. The ice cream here is seriously creamy. Almost buttery. Special mention. They also allow for 2 half-scoops for the price of a single scoop, which is nice for trying 1 more flavour. Looks like Portland may have some competition.

This ice cream touts its "taffy-like" consistency. Eeeeww! That's because they use "non GMO Dextrose". Give me cane sugar please!

Wonderful food and drinks. I started with oyster shooters (Willapa Bay) along with a Lion's Tail cocktail. Sierra said the bourbon and lime complement each other. I wouldn't have thought so and thought it a bit of an odd choice. But she was right and I was wrong: it was fabulous. One of the most delicious drinks I've ever had, for my tastes. She gave me several recommendations for dinner. I picked the Jalapeño Chicken. It was luscious and flavorful, but the best part of it was my choice of Balsamic Brussels sprouts as my side--oh my! These were so delicious I ordered two more batches to have at home. Lovely espresso martini to end it all.

I was happy to see steamed clams on the menu. I grew up eating fresh steamed seafood for dinner, so battered fried seafood that is more common here hasn't really grown on me yet. To me fried seafood is a fancy version of chicken nuggets. I loved the clams, so light but bland. The sauce is full of umami flavor, drizzled with some fresh lemon juice, it was like a summery beachy afternoon in a bowl. I could easily dip a loaf of toast with it if I had one. The clams were fresh and meaty, nothing to complain about with this dish. My partner had the grilled cheese, and he said it was mid. He's vegetarian, and I don't like cheese, so I didn't bother to try any of his meal to do my own fact check. The staff were friendly too. Overall, this is a nice place to grab lunch when visiting Bellingham.

I've had lattes that tasted like lukewarm bean water and lattes that tasted like they were brewed by a robot with a grudge. But the latte I had at **Woods Coffee**? Pure, caffeinated magic. I'm pretty sure they didn't just steam milk; they whispered sweet nothings to it until it turned into silk. The ambience both upstairs and downstairs, in addition to having a beautiful view of the bay gives a vibe that is as warm as the coffee and tea and almost as warm as the hearts of the staff In fact it may even pale in comparison to the warmth of the crew: **Nate, Madeline, and Jesse.** These three aren't just baristas; they are basically the Avengers of hospitality. They are so friendly and kind that I'm convinced they might actually be humanitarian saints working undercover in the coffee industry. **Full Disclosure:** During my visit, I encountered a brief personal complication regarding my payment. Usually, this results in a walk of shame out the door. But Nate, Madeline, and Jesse: Rather than treating me like a transaction, handled the situation with an incredible level of empathy, kindness, and professionalism. The patio can get a bit chilly, but it's worth it for the view, and they do have heaters available. I started with a salad, followed by the Keenan's burger with a garbanzo bean patty, and the soup du jour. All three were delicious. The complimentary bread served with garlic herb spread was a wonderful start--aromatic and very satisfying. The salad had a great balance of fresh vegetables and toppings. A Bit Longer Answer... Keenan's is somehow still a bit of a hidden gem in Bellingham, WA. How that is, at least for visitors, is beyond me. It is located in the absolute best hotel in Bellingham, the Chrysalis in Fairhaven, a delightful part of Bellingham, WA. You will want to stay there, just saying, and their spa? Oh my gosh...but I digress... A few weeks ago, while staying overnight, I took my brother-in-law to dinner at Keenan's. He dislikes...a lot. Forgive me, but one of his "super powers" seems to be in finding fault in any even somewhat nice restaurant. Something is always wrong with the food, the prices, and/or the service...yeah...but wait! Monty ate every bite and (wait for it...) did not complain once! Alert the media! Oh, happy day!! Okay, more details... I have had the pleasure of eating at Keenan's both in person at the restaurant and via their room service many times. BOTH ARE AMAZING! Their room service breakfasts are incredible! How they make their omelets as light and yet filling, EVEN WHEN DELIVERED to my lovely hotel room, is beyond me! Order their fruit, too, whatever it is they offer, order it. It will always be a beautifully flavorful addition to your meal. I can promise you your food will show up, even with room service, well-seasoned and ready to devour! Their dinners? WOW! I have had so many of their entrees, and each one is incredible. Their scallops are always perfect. Again, seasoned so that it complements the scallops without overpowering them. Their rib-eye is incredibly tender while still being cooked medium-rare, yay! And, their duck...oh my gosh! Hurray! I have to add, check their specials. I have never been steered wrong. Of course, a meal is almost as much affected by the service as by the food, right? They will treat you like a VIP, no matter who you are or what you order. How cool is that? I love that they have that ability to be attentive without hovering, nice! How funny is this? Their venue is stunning. There is no questioning that point. It is simply stunning! The cool part of that is that they cook like they don't have a view. Does that make sense? They don't just rely on that "wow" factor and assume you will just go there for the view. The food and service are even better than the view, and that says A LOT! Oh, shhhh...just saying, between you and me...Mia, our latest server, is a rock star! Can you tell I am a fan? Yep! Count me in! Go there, you will thank me!
