I was thrilled to find this gem in the area. We had pizza at Border Town pizza then had a sweet tooth. It was a busy establishment. Very large open area with to go dairy products and and ice cream case. They offered free samples and are hefty scoopers! We all got kid scoops and boy oh boy were they big. This is a local spot and I believe I saw the dairy up closer to the Canadian border. My assumption is that they use all fresh local ingredients and the ice cream is handmade. The ice cream was very creamy. My husband was completely wowed by the vanilla. Said it was so good! I had the coffee swirl which ended up being so soft it was like eating soft serve ice cream. Not sure why. Maybe it wasn't completely frozen yet. I wanted chocolate sprinkles but they only had rainbow so I opted for the chips and what I thought was coffee sprinkles. It was literally instant coffee! Mixed with the chocolate it ended up being a good topping to go with the coffee and chocolate swirl ice cream! Lil Miss liked her Mango but I didn't try it. Stopped here for a quick treat after a leisurely bike ride had I known how close this was the hotel I was staying I would have come in more often. Of the 16 available flavors, I chose the Coffee Almond Fudge. The ice cream was rich and creamy with large almond chunks. The fudge was gooney and thick just the way fudge should be. Totally impressed with the prices. Its been decades since I paid a few bucks for a scoop of ice cream. In California, a similar sized scoop of premium ice cream would cost twice as much.
