I've frequented here for the past few years, but after having such a lovely time at this weekend's Oyster Fest, I felt it appropriate to contribute a review here. The atmosphere here is casual and family-friendly; the space is basked in natural light and is cozy, inviting and includes an outdoor patio as well as a pool table. The bar staff are hard-working, attentive and especially welcoming. Going along with what others have said here before, I believe that what set's this bar apart more than anything else is the food menu. From the wings to the "smash" burger to the vegan bahn mi sandwhich, this is definitely elevated bar food done consistently right. I look forward to coming back for years to come! read more

This place has it all! The vibe inside is cozy, casual, and romantic all at the same time! You can come here with a group of friends, by yourself, or on a date. I came for the burger which was DELICIOUS. The bartender said it is a "destination" burger and boy was he not wrong. I got the double (would recommend as it ends up being the size of a regular burger) which came with onions, cheese, pickles, and sauce. The meat was cooked to perfection, charred on the outside, crispy around the edges, and juicy as hell on the inside. The toppings were just right and the bun was outstanding and kept everything together. I added on fries for $3 and those were great as well. Shoestring fires with perfect crips and salt ratio. I also had the cheddar broccoli arancini which were tasty as well. Service was great and I can't wait to come back to try everything on the menu! RUN don't walk to this neighborhood gem. read more

Cool vibe. Love the lava lamp collection. Lots of comfy seating. And not one, not two, but three skylights. Probably really pretty during the day. Friendly bartenders and well priced drinks. Brought a bunch of friends over to celebrate a birthday. We stayed for a while, bought a ton of drinks and they kindly brought us carafes of water and empty glasses so we could stay hydrated. A few people also ordered food (Kitchen was open til midnight) and said it was really good. Spicy wings, burgers, and a sandwiches. They also said the fries were amazing - shoestring and plentiful. This bar/restaurant is a local watering hole. Very simple menu - I would say their burgers are the star. Thin patties, cheese, and pickles. Classic and tasty. The fries are thin and crisp and served with a tangy sauce. Drinks are pretty good too - i usually get a beer on tap. Great for call ahead orders for pick up - usually 15min. My husband and I love coming to this bar. It's a beautiful space with an excellent happy hour. We bring our 2.5 year old daughter here too sometimes and they are very nice about letting her run around the place. They also have toys and games available for small children which is an amazing plus if we just want to relax and let her play. Definitely a nice open environment. It did feel cold, hoping they crank up that heat in the winter. There was a bar and plenty of seating available which included booths, tables, and bar seating. The service was a little slow, hoping they can adjust and make changes. Seems like they needed an extra body. I had to walk up to the bar to let them know I was ready to order food. They also took extremely long actually serving the food and the wings came out cold. The pricing was reasonable and the burgers and fries were decent. Place definitely has potential to be great. Enjoyed the burgers and fries here for a little while, but decided to take my money elsewhere once I found out that I was being covertly discriminated against. Ordered via seamless on several occasions and was charged an extra $2.00 for lettuce, tomato, egg each time. After asking why this was , when the lettuce and tomato were free in the seamless app, I still wasn't provided with a good explanation. A friend of mind "Courtney" would order the same meal and was never charged extra. Absolutely love the energy in The Seneca, except for the first time I went at 11am on a Sunday and there were 30 children learning to run. I think I heard it was the owners' kid's birthday party, and while I personally was hungover and miserable, abstractly I appreciate when a neighborhood bar is actively part of the community. Both times I have been, our bartender has been friendly and perfectly attentive. This place serves great coffee, and comp'd my mostly full beer that had kicked, which was also delicious. You should know what you're getting into with the wings here. They are... breaded? Not battered. Dry (in terms of sauce), but not crunchy, and very small. This is not a very appetizing review because this is not a genre of wing I am into, but I would not say they were bad, just not your classic wing, which the menu gave no reason not to expect. read more
