Loved this place! Friendly, fast service, the food was tasty, and the portions are generous. My family and I came here for lunch on a Saturday while passing through on our way home from a vacation. It's got a beautiful wood bar when you first walk in and just has a welcoming feeling. We were seated right away and our friendly server took our drink orders shortly after that. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer to start, which was very good and disappeared in a matter of minutes once it arrived. My husband and I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and fries to share. We both enjoyed it and the portion was just right for the two of us. My boys ordered the fish and chips and the Service Station burger. Their plates weee nearly empty by the time they were done! Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a good meal in Jamestown.

    Delicious ribeye steak. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is a GEM, best restaurant in the area. Friendly service, amazing food, and lovely ambiance. The ribeye steak, fish & chips, and wings are highly recommended! We will definitely be back.

What a lovely find! We had a dog with us so we needed a place with outdoor seating. Great back patio seating with shade, cool mist, and fans on a hot summer day. Water bowls for your furry companion. Surprisingly good food and excellent service!

We love The Service Station, but have not dined here in awhile .... chalk it up to Covid..... because if not for Covid disruption, this is one of best places in the Sonora, Jamestown, and Murphys for quality food and beer/wine. Today, very ably, funny, and entertainingly served by Debbie (an absolute hoot!)), the food, as usual, was top shelf. As often, the Great Gal and I shared our meal, going with a cold, crisp Caesar Salad, top with large shredded parmesan cheese which really popped the flavor. And somehow, someway, Kathleen (owner) and crew found a way to bring an authentic Philly Cheesesteak to the West, with a slight twist, using a Pabano pepper instead of a green pepper. It was lick your plate good!!! I am waiting for a slice of pumpkin cake as I make these comments. No doubt it will be yummy!

What an unexpected surprise! We were bored in the valley and I was craving burgers and beers. Saw the reviews on this place so we decided to give it a try. The food was above average! Like really really good! Also had a nice assortment of ice cold beers on tap. Not to mention how cool this place is. Old town for sure. We will be back!!!

Always a great spot! Never been disappointed by their gracious service and tasty bites. Great place and our go-to stop anytime we're in the area. Larry has a great team and we always love to sit with Debbie at the bar. See you next time!

Yummy food. Great location and LOVED they catered to our pups on the patio! Just wish they served a few more onion rings with their additional fee

Station dip was amazing but the real seller was the Mac and cheese appetizer. We got ours with jalapeno and bacon; it was to die for.

Stopped here on my way to Yosemite and waited ~30 min for it to open just so I could try it. NOT WORTH IT! Burger was not memorable. Family members that got the smash burger said it tasted chemically... like cleaning chemicals. Disgusting. The only good thing was the truffle fries with the garlic aioli. The first couple bites of aioli were really good, but then it just got too mayonnaise-y. And, overall, they were no better than any other truffle fries that I've had. Mac & cheese was not good at all. The penne noodles were chewy, like they had been frozen. Cheese sauce didn't taste good. It was all on the pricier side as well, especially for what you get. Service was slow. I asked for extra containers so that we could share the Mac and cheese. The worker hesitated to respond, seemed like they wanted to say no, but then reluctantly gave me two cups/bowls. Why are they sooo stingy here?? Also, no free water cups?! They make you pay for water. Glad I brought my own water.

Popped in after a Yosemite-in-a-day mission for dinner, and it was strange. The shopping center felt like it was some strange faux Disneyland town. Very little things were open, and there's also a hotel? This restaurant and the pizza place seemed to be the most bustling. The restaurant has an enormous door that was easy to open from the outside, a little more difficult to open from the inside. Anyway, enough about the ambiance. We had bikes with us, so they accommodated us outside. Menu was pretty basic: appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pastas, and drinks. Everything looked and sounded delicious to our famished crew, but I think they're banking on starvation. All the food was just okay, mediocre. Nothing was bad, but nothing was amazing either. I got the brisket salad. Brisket ($18) was kinda cold and gummy. The cornbread ($6) was a little tasteless. The honey citrus butter with the cornbread had so much potential but was also a little flavorless. A friend ordered pickle chips and that was probably the tastiest thing we had. Our server rang us all up individually which was great for a group. After tax and tip, it was $30, which hurt for such an unsatisfying meal.

However, I Visited on Mother's Day with my daughter and sister and had a completely different experience. I have a gluten allergy, one daughter has gluten sensitivity, and my other daughter has celiac disease. We informed our waitress that we needed gluten-free options and were told they were out of gluten-free buns but had gluten-free sourdough. After double-checking, the chef confirmed it was gluten-free. Something didn't seem right, so we asked to see the packaging. Wheat was listed as an ingredient. Thankfully, we caught the mistake before eating it. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, two of the gluten-free meals were still served with gluten-containing items, including a flour tortilla and the same bread we'd already identified as not gluten-free. The food itself was actually delicious, and I wish I could leave a more positive review based on that alone. However, for anyone with celiac disease, a gluten allergy, or a serious gluten sensitivity, accurate ingredient information is not optional--it's a health and safety issue. The repeated errors from both the kitchen and serving staff were extremely disappointing and left me with little confidence in their ability to safely accommodate gluten-free guests.
