I went to this place initially to get a quick trim. I was told that I could be fit in at 4 pm. Little did I know that the parking lot is a maize. It took 15 minutes just to find a spot, and another 15 minutes to find the place. It was like a scavenger hunt. Anyway, I show up at 4:10 and am told that I was too late and that my appointment had been canceled. Moreover, his reason for cancellation was that he had another appointment at 5. On the website, it was estimated that the haircut would take at most 45 minutes. When I brought this point up to him, he changed his story and told me he had a 4:30. Very shady. Anyway, I only recommend if you're good at solving puzzles and willing to put up with unaccommodating staff. read more

I needed a last minute cut and was fortunate to have the shave place located 100 feet from my office. I hadn't had a cut in a while and my chick was not happy with the way I was looking. Having a big work event early the next day added extra pressure to get my trim on. I don't have his card right now but I believe my barber was Alfredo(?) Alfonso(?), I forget but, I wasn't even really sure what kind of cut I was going for, but he obviously understood what I was trying to explain and gave me a super excellent cut and reshaping. I was so impressed I decided to step up with a beard trim as well. I never seen my beard look so straight or trimmed so perfect. I have had this beard for years so that was pretty awesome being happy about having a beard again! When I got back to work the compliments started rolling in! Ok, let me just start off by saying that I have been blessed with many things in life, but consistently good hair days is not one of them. In fact, I have been searching my whole life for a barber that is able to give me a simple consistent cut without messing it up once in a while. You see, I have what I call an Asian fro. My hair is thick and sticks straight up. It also comes in sideways in some places, making it hard to just cut it one length because the sideways hair then is perceived to be shorter. When I go to barbers, there is a 40% chance my wife needs to touch it up when I get home. It was a sorry state of affairs. ANYWHO, I've finally found the holy grail of barber shops and that is the Shave Place. Everyone there is so professional. The space is clean and they offer you water. You can make reservations so there is no waiting unless you decide to walk in. They rinse your hair after so you don't walk out like you've rolled all over the barbershop floor. Most importantly, Jefferson completely nails the haircut you want, then freakin sticks his landing everytime. Like Simone freakin' Biles. I've never had to redescribe what I want. It's glorious. Wow!! Love this place. Steve gave my 9 year old a gorgeous Mohawk! Friendly, clean....and you'll be offered a beer, a water or a shot of tequila. Music from every genre playing in background. My boss came into the office the other day with a fresh cut and I was like 'Whoa buddy, nice hair!' And he said he got it here! Er, he got his haircut here. I assume he is able to grow his own hair ;) haha I am pretty stoked that all I gotta do is ride an elevator downstairs to get a good haircut. Despite me not know any 'barbershop' lingo, they worked with my requests and gave me what I wanted! And people seriously come up to me and tell me they really like my hair--seriously. I made an appointment on line. Right after I received a text message saying that they were reviewing the services I chose (color + haircut + shave) and would return to confirm or not. A while after, I received a text message confirming the appointment. To make the story short, when I sat at the barber chair (facing the wall like if it was a punishment), I asked him to put me facing the mirror. He asked me why, I said I wanted to look at him while taking," and discuss the color etc. Then he said he didn't have time for doing all the jobs.... He said that he tried to contact me by phone. I got a scissor cut at $45, my barber spent roughly ten minutes on my hair and did most of the work with clippers.With a scissor cut, I expect most of the top, sides, tapering, and layering to be done with scissors. Not the case. As a result, my hair looks flat; no tapering on the sides but very precise shape to sideburns and too high over ear (which I raised as a concern when the clippers were trimming there). I like a scissor cut because it looks more natural but that desired look wasn't achieved. Really disappointed :( read more

Usually after a year most businesses hit a plateau and stagnate, but I am pleased to say not these guys!
