We were looking for a barber supply store in the area. This is the closest place we could find and I was surprised they had Saturday hours. We stopped by around mid day and ended up being they were closed. Although it looked like the lights were on so we thought maybe they closed for lunch. No sign unless we missed it. We then opted to go to the nearby Sally's Beauty Supply and got a few items there. Since we had to pass back by I had my son call to see if they were maybe back from lunch and sure enough they answered. We stopped in. Not really knowing a lot about barber tools we were looking for a neck duster and must have done a poor job explaining that so we bought a shaving cream applicator. Through some conversation the gentleman realized and actually threw in a neck duster. That was very kind. It seemed like they had a large selection of barber necessities. Not knowing what to expect it also appeared they were a full service barber shop too. The gentleman offered his card if we needed anything further. We would definitely come back. They are located in a small center off Glendora Ave - south of the West Covina Mall. There is a parking lot and outside of that center street parking as well. I don't recall seeing a large sign with the business name, however they do have signage on the door/window area. read more

This place is great! My newly bearded man was in the market for some beard grooming supplies and he'd been eyeing the BeardBrand line. I found out that through their website that The Shave Shop carried BeardBrand. So went we the check the place out and see the selection. David was really nice and extremely helpful. They had what he was looking for and it was wonderful because he was actually able to smell the scents instead of just having to guess and order online. No hassle, good prices and listen to how you want things done, which is so important while getting a haircut. He showed me around, answered questions, and gave some helpful recommendations. The location is tucked away, a but hard to find. If you're looking for an old school barber shop experience, this is the place to go. Not only is the owner David friendly, he is very knowledgeable with all hair products and accessories, and he can do a great cut. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is price and space. This place is pricey but if you want to get pampered, then this place is for you. The place is also small with only two barber chairs so if you don't have an appointment, you'll probably be waiting a long time. Overall, I'm glad I experienced this Barber Shop. read more

We stopped in for a beard trim for me and a haircut for my son, David took care of us and I couldn't be happier with the results. Starting with the beard trim; David took some time to look at the unkempt mess I call a beard pointed out a few things he noticed and explained what he was going to do before he even picked up the clippers. He cleaned up my beard and gave me some advice on how to maintain it on my own between visits. It ended with a hot towel and straight razor to clean up the edges. Now for my 4 year old's haircut it was nice to see David apply the same level of care. He would pause throughout the haircut to dust off the hair clippings just to make sure my boy was comfortable, the haircut came out great. Finally the shop is nice and clean, plus they carry a ton of beard and hair products. I'm really glad I found this place, they're the only ones I'll trust with my beard!! read more

After 17 years of shaving, I've finally found a straight razor. David was really helpful in getting me set up with a razor and blades for someone used to traditional traditional cartridge razors and patiently answered all my questions. He even took time to demonstrate proper techniques. The best part is that I went in expecting to spend maybe $100 on a starter kit and walked out without spending even half that!
