I was looking for a reasonably priced barber for my dad. I'm glad we booked an appointment for a $20 "senior cut" with Anibal. He was super efficient, got my dad's haircut done in 20 mins, and made my dad look 10 years younger! Booking online was also very easy. Looked them up on Yelp and saw good reviews, and that they took walk-ins. So I called and asked if there was much of a wait. I was told anywhere from 40 to 45 minutes. So, my 12 yo son and I pop in, and about half an hour in, one of the barbers, Hannibal becomes available. He did an excellent job on my hair, was very personable, and even included a relaxation massage, with the power massager on the shoulders and neck. Great service, and I was pleased. However, that's the extent of the happy... My son was also waiting, and with five barbers in the shop at the time, I expected that my son would get taken in at some point shortly after. Two hours after our arrival, still no one becomes available. Some of the guys more concerned with showing pictures from their phones to one another, and talking bullshit, versus finishing up the haircut, so people that are waiting, can get in the chair. Finally, I got up and ask the boss if one of his barbers are going to be able to take my son in. He replies that she wasn't aware of that we were waiting. He asked the other barbers and everyone shook their heads, about taking anyone anytime soon. So much like all the other barbershops in the area, without an appointment, you're pretty much fucked. My cut was 22 bucks without an appointment, so I don't know how much an appointment cut would cost. Just a word of warning to others who prefer the walk-in method, like things used to be in barber shops. read more
