Beef chimichanga with green chili, and Spanish rice.
    Judy D.

My husband and I went to the shed tonight for chimichangas. They were amazing!!! The best authentic green chili we have found since being in Minnesota! They don't put the nasty white cheese sauce on them that all of the Mexican restaurants seem to do in Minnesota. The waitstaff is always friendly when you first walk in the door. I highly recommend!

We stopped on a Sunday…read morearound 1230pm or so and there was a 15-20 minute wait which we were fine with as we were in no rush! They had plenty of seating in the waiting area along with some fun signs/pictures to read while we waited. Once we got to our table there were even more fun signs/pictures to read. We ordered a regular lemonade and a strawberry lemonade. Both were good but ultimately the strawberry lemonade was a table favorite! We decided on splitting some Granda Nachos with Beef and 10 Bone in Wings in Gold Rush sauce, which is the house favorite. The wings were amazing! The sauce was very smooth and had a wonderful flavor. We could see why they are a house favorite as soon as we started eating them. The nachos were also very good. The salsa and sour cream came on the side which is nice for those who may not want that on their nachos. Our only complaint for the nachos was that the nacho cheese didn't seem spread out evenly and the chips towards the bottom got a little soggy before we could get to them. Over all our meal great and would recommend this place to anyone passing through!

I wasn't overly…read morethrilled with the menu options but it seemed to be one of the only restaurants in town that wasn't just fast food. There were quite a few decent options so I decided to give it a try. I ordered pasta that had the option of blackened chicken, lemon pepper chicken, or plain chicken. I selected the lemon pepper chicken, which I did not receive. They gave me blackened chicken instead. It was okay. I'm not a huge fan of blackened chicken flavor but it wasn't the end of the world. The breadstick was good; it had a slightly sweet flavor to it. All in all, it was fine. Nothing to write home about but I wasn't totally disappointed. I'd try other things from this restaurant. My biggest gripe was when I went to pick up my food. Upon entering the restaurant, there's a sign stating "wait to be seated". I stood there for an astonishing amount of time without being greeted. Multiple staff members passed by me and looked at me but did not acknowledge or say a word to me. I stood there so long, it felt very awkward and I debated just approaching someone myself. Where was the hostess??? I felt incredibly unwelcome and it really turned me off to the place. Like the vibes were so off that I thought to myself, I will never be back here. Finally, one of the staff that had passed by me a few times looked at me with hesitation and I could tell she was thinking about how I'd been standing there for a while but I'm guessing it wasn't her job to seat people. I took the opportunity to tell her that I was just there for a pickup order and she notified someone and then brought me the food. Had this young lady not shown visible concern about me standing there, who knows how long I would have stood there without so much as a greeting. Maybe this is acceptable in small town culture, I honestly don't know. But I personally find it rude and unwelcoming. This could just be a one off, but either way... do better!

Fried pickles spears with the rock n roll sauce were great. I wouldn't have ordered these except my server recommended them out of all the apps, so I went with that. Fried things at places like this usually lack flavor and are just salty, fried bar food. These had some kick. The rock n roll sauce was like a Mayo with Frito's Chili Cheese Twists, so they were yummy. Tilapia on wild rice was ok, but it's tilapia, so how amazing can it be, right? Broccoli wasn't too over cooked and it still had a healthy green color, so I was happy with that. And the fries were a tad greasy, but they came out hot and crunchy. I think if they let the oil drain off them a bit more under a heat lamp, they'd hold their crispness a bit longer. Oh, and it was an entire plate of fries, so portions were generous. Lastly, everything was served very quickly. The place wasn't super-busy, but it wasn't dead and I was happy about the timeliness. I ordered an app first then placed an order for my entree after munching on that. And I was out done in 45 minutes. Granted, I was eating alone, but still. If you enjoy meat, I highly recommend giving this place a shot. I am a pescatarian (mostly vegetarian) and I have a sneaking suspicion that their beef and chicken options have much more developed flavors.

One server working, seemed right given the time of day, but she seemed more interested in talking at the bar than getting me my drink and a plate for the salad bar. Finally got a plate (very small plate) and one that is at the salad bar...she could've said help yourself....and I wouldn't have had to wait. A few bites into my salad and the smashed burger arrives. Literally a smashed burger (burnt) on a semi soggy bun, some cheese and a house sauce. Sauce was alright but the burger was super dry and no lettuce, pickles, or tomatoes offered. Had to pepper the burger for some kind of flavor. Server then doesn't come back to refill my drink or see if the meal was good after I'd started eating, you know how it's usually done in a restaurant. Probably because after a resumed conversation at the bar, 3 times playing with a TV in an unoccupied part of the restaurant and a long conversation on her phone in plain sight of patrons, she was too busy for her job. She finally came back and asked how it all was, and I simply shrugged to which she said wasn't the burger good, I shrugged again and she says and I quote "well, you ate it all" in a sparky voice while turning and walking away. When I first sat down she asked if I'd been here before to which I said I had but before the new ownership. She says, yeah well it's a 360 degree change, better food, service etc.... I think she needs an explanation on degress. 180 is a turnaround, 360 is right back where we started. She's wrong, it was better food before from my memory. The menu is small and still can't get a simple burger right. I likely won't come back, at least until another 360 degree, I mean 180 degree change is made. Disappointing

A coworker selected this place for lunch, and honestly, if I'd read the older reviews, I would have suggested we skip it. First visit, I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. The sauce has this little sweetness along with the usual spicy tang, and I was absolutely loved it. It was good enough that on day three I found myself back in the same booth at lunchtime. Round two, I went with the Reuben. I'm a Reuben person--I order them a lot, and I know when one is just pretending. This one wasn't and I could not have been more pleased. On my last night in town, I came back yet again and tried the taco salad. Because the word salad makes me nervous and I'm mostly a proud "meatatarian," I asked for extra ground beef. They did not hold back. It was a few extra bucks, but worth every penny. Coming from San Diego, the prices here just make me smile. The vibe is exactly what you'd expect from a sports bar in the best way: a good-sized central bar, booths and tables all around, plenty of screens, and zero pretense. Every staff member I dealt with was friendly, on the ball, and made the repeat visits an easy choice. Bottom line: this place is exactly what it says it is--a solid sports grill and bar. If you want cheap and instant, go to a drive thru. If you're in the mood for a martini, wine and a slab of beef, go find the prime rib place in town. If you just want good food, fair prices, and a relaxed sports bar atmosphere, you'll be very happy here. I had several great experiences and I'll be back the next time work sends me to Spencer.

They tell you it is only a choice steak on the menu. When asking the waitress what was good she said locally sourced locally butchered and I 100% believe it! Better than some of the so called specialty butcher shops I've been to! This thing was perfectly cut. When I ordered it medium, it came medium. The shrimp wasn't overcooked. It was perfectly cooked, which they can screw up in any good steakhouse shockingly. This place was honest, the price was fair, staff was an absolute pleasure, and an absolute value.
