So just few days away away fromy daughters skating competition in Sun Valley A leather outlet on her skate rips out. We find the Shoe Guy and tell him of our dilemma and that we need the skate today .. so last night at at 6 PM we drop it off as they close....this morning at 10 Shoe Guy says it's ready. My wife is close by after a morning hike with a friend at table rock, but doesn't have any money to pay Shoe Guy . So he says pay me next week. I tell him that's pretty trusting. And he says she needs to skate, no worries just drop it off payment sometime next week. WOW!!! Love Shoe Guy! read more

Woman at counter very kind and helpful, fixed my boot while I waited a couple minutes. I have a pair of boots and the leather pull on the zipper broke off and she said it was a easy fix. Very clean shop with other items for sale, ie: shoe brushes, polish and repair kits. Lots of parking available. I would recommend them and will be back ! read more

I had to get my brand new leather boots stretched - when I picked them up after a week, they were still a bit tight on the arch. They took them to re-stretch again with no charge. Unfortunately when I picked them up, one side had to be stretched again for a minor adjustment. They again offered to redo the work. I was very appreciative of their effort, time, and willingness for a great customer service. Really nice folks but MAJORLY disappointed with quality of work. I paid to have patches professionally seen/applied to my jacket, paid what a professional seamstress would charge, and received workmanship similar to that of a 7th grade home economic student. Threads are extremely crooked, contour edges not followed. THIS IS WHY ONE PAYS A PRO TO SEW. I would have saved myself the $46 and done this myself, as my sewing skills are better. Really disappointed, I'm now leary to bring my shoes here for repair as I'm not sure if the quality of workmanship on my jacket would carry over to the cobbler side of things. Too bad as its conveniently located. I'll use other services from now on. Sorry guys! read more

I bought a pair of Nicks smoke jumper boots from "The Shoe Guy". I loved the boots until the started squeaking when I walked. I took them to Warren (The Shoe Guy) and he was pleasant and sent them back under warranty. When I got them back the boots didn't look as good as they did when I bought them. The cuts were not as clean and there was excess glue around the heal portion. I wore the boots for several more months and then they developed the same squeek that happened the first time. I called Nicks and talked to Jr. and he was very pleasant and told me to take them back to The Shoe Guy (Warren) and he would send them back for me. When I went in to the Shoe guy and told him about the squeaking issue, he told me to send them back. I told him Jr. had told me to take them back to him to send back. He got testy and told me he wouldn't be able to send them back for at least a week. I told him to give me the money and I would drop them off to get shipped myself. He grabbed the phone and called Nicks and got a return pickup order number and stated he would take care of it. (with attitude) I got a call yesterday from Warren telling me the boots were in. When I went in to pick them up today he saw me coming and got the box for me he walked over to the counter and made a point of tossing the box onto the counter instead of setting them down. He then told me that if they needed more work that I was to call Nicks and take care of it myself. I informed him that I had talked to Jr at Nicks last time and was instructed to take them to him and have him return them for warranty repair. I walked out of the shop with the boots still in the box and he was muttering something about me checking them out before I left. I just continued walking because I was pretty upset about being treated like this. I spent almost $500 dollars on a pair of boots and expect a little better customer care. It's not my fault the boots started squeaking like they did twice and I don't deserve to be treated so disrespectful. I will no longer give the Shoe Guy any of my business. Very Very Poor customer service. Doesn't want to stand behind the product he sells. read more

The Shoe Guy was great to me! I walked in with a pair of new shoes that were eating my heels. Within 5 minutes of being there he had an idea to fix them, stitched the part that was causing the blister down, and had me on my way. He wouldn't even let me pay! I brought my purse in to be repaired, the seam was torn out. I am planning a trip and was hoping I could get it back in a couple days. I have been in there multiple times for multiple shoes and boots. I have had my Artist boots resoled and polished to perfection. They have worked on my White's so I could actually start wearing them. They go above and beyond, the way things used to be. Their prices are too low and they are far too nice!!! I was actually in there when a lady was looking for white leather to be put on the inside of her shoes. They didn't have any at the moment. After the lady left they found some and actually went running out the door to catch her. That was on one of our 100° days. That's service. If you want experience as well as expertise then this is the place for you. You can't go wrong. read more

Based on Yelp reviews, I tried the shoe guy. Now I too am a loyal customer. The lady who ran the front counter was knowledgeable and very nice to work with. Shoes were repaired on time [actually a day early] and at a fair price. Don't think I'd call this a bargain shop but rather one that gets fairly compensated for excellent work.
