I came in for a bleach and tone and told the stylist that I was going to add the gray at home. I had about 3 inches of grow out that I wanted to blend into the gray. The stylist confidently said that she could do the gray/silver for me so I thought, why not, saves me the process. I left with wet hair so I was unsure what the hair looked like. Got home, dried and straightened and realized my hair was probably 12 different shades. My hair was full of horizontal stripes of brown, my roots looked like they got touched with bleach in odd spots and my hair cut was choppy when I asked for no layers. This was $220 and I called to ask for a refund but they insisted on fixing my hair. I came back a day later and had a deep condition. I had to come back again 2 days later for the bleach and tone but was turned away because my 2 month old baby did not have a mask on. We have taken our kids here several times and I have gone myself and had good results. Very good haircuts and my little boy looks great. What was nicest is they are very fast which is helpful with small children. To top it all off, we didn't realize they close at 8 on Saturdays and they were still very nice by cutting my boy's and my hair before closing. Nice, friendly people. read more

The quality and consistency is a step up from the Super Cut places, and doesn't waste my time like the Sports Cut place. This is the first time I am putting a 1 star on a business so "no not a person who constantly nags at businesses". I've been bringing my son here for the last 2 years since we moved to this area. And my husband comes here too. Today I called in asked if we can come, they asked the standard COVID-19 questions I answered and made an appt for my son. I packed him up and my 5 day old baby and we rushed over there to make it to the appt. At the door, Britney came out to check temp and she said "let me ask my manager about the baby" who has a carseat cover on her... she came back and said "your daughter (5 days old) needs to be wearing a mask as well!" SHE IS 5 DAYS OLD. SHE IS 6PDS. SHE IS IN A CARSEAT WITH A COVER OVER HER. when I explained that kimg county is 2+ and wa state is 5+ for kids....she stated "we are a private business and can do whatever we want and those are our rules." I'm sorry? But what would LITERALLY KILL MY NEWBORN! AND WHAT KIMD OF MASK WOULD FIT HER?! so I said I will not be coming back here again you guys have lost our business. So after 8 years of getting my hair cut here the quality of the cut is still great. The service from the front counter girl not so much. Of course they are busy on a Sunday I expect that. I am picky about who cuts my hair so when I put my name down on a list I put two stylists names down. I knew it was going to be at least a half hour to 45 minute wait as she told me that 3 times. I would not even give a star if I thought yelp would post it, we showed up at 2 and left at 530 the girl behind the counter put people in front of us. I have been going here for almost 5 years (over 30 times). I have had my hair cut by over 10 different stylists and I can only remember 1 time I was unhappy with my cut (I let her cut it too short). I have also taken all 3 of my children here a dozen times. They are ages 1,14,&15 and the older two have never complained (both have long hair). I enjoy being able to stop in any time without an appointment and get a great cut. I would not suggest stopping in any closer than 20 minutes till closing as they are likely to tell you there is not enough time left to do your hair. read more

Great Clips quality hair cuts at twice the price. Nothing redeeming about this place whatsoever. Decent marketing and branding which draws people in but their staff doesn't give great haircuts on a consistent basis. Some are good and others are terrible. If you want a good haircut you have casino odds walking through the door. I've had bad haircuts before, more often from the shop but I really hate paying $30 for a bad haircut. And I'm a guy with short hair so it's not like my hair is very tricky or complicated to cut. I literally had a person cut my hair here that listened to nothing I requested and just cut my hair how they wanted. This place is awful. I'm not sure where they find some of these hair stylists, maybe they're recovering meth addicts or something and this whole thing is a gracious act of charity. I certainly hope so. If not, they're simply incompetent and in turn so is their management/ownership. Hair Masters across the street isn't as "cool" with their branding but at least they can cut hair and it's cheaper. Go figure. Super Cuts is a better option too, and so is great clips come to think of it. If great clips gives you a bad haircut at least it's only $12 with the coupon. Used to take my son here for a haircut all the time, however the staff today were absolutely horrible. The front desk gal was very short with us and acted like we were a burden on them for coming in, along with the gal that did my sons hair who was not nice to my son during his haircut. She completely messed it up and then blamed the whole thing on him. Very unprofessional. I asked her to fix it to balance things out and it still came out horrible. What happened to being conservative as a stylist?!?! Not much you can do when the hair is gone!! They then tried to charge me for a full hair cut too! The turn over at this place is ridiculous. New stylist all the time and never know if it will be a decent cut. You can get a good haircut from maybe 5 out of the 10/12 stylist. Their haircuts are fine but they serve people who are getting coloring and more expensive styles over people who are just getting a cut. I think it's tip farming and it's completely unprofessional. I waited for 30 minutes and a lady came in and asked "how long for a color" (ie. She didn't have an appointment) and she got seated right away while I was left to languish on the bench. I asked the woman at the desk about it and she told me the person serving her was their designated colorist. I don't buy that for a second because that stylist had been cutting hair when I came in and there were 2 others getting colored by other stylists when I was told that. The stylist just knows she's going to get a bigger tip from a more expensive color then a simple men's cut. I will never go there again unless this practice is stopped. Be prepared to wait forever and be jumped by anyone coming in to get a color if you just need a haircut. If I am not valued by the stylists I will take my business elsewhere. P.S. She takes pride in doing her job well and took the time to make sure everything was perfect . She also had no problem rinsing my hair and even offered me a shampoo at no extra cost. My husband just came home after getting a haircut and they butchered his hair. He has a beard and his sideburns connect with his beard. They went in and shaved his sideburns off so now he has a huge gap on both sides of his face.
