My family has been going to this particular hair salon for a while now and we always come back! The ladies here are so sweet and so nice, and all the ladies give wonderful scalp massages when they shampoo your hair! They also really pay attention to what haircut you want and are very meticulous with their work at a super affordable price. They also have stamp cards if you are a frequent visitor as well! Just recently we've been going to the newer Renton location so stop by there if you have a chance. My family has been going to Lani for all our haircut needs :) and she's usually in the Renton location! Btw they just got in a whole line of Morocco Oil which is HEAVENLY. Not dissatisfied here! I think because of the name it's more known to be a place for men but they also do such an amazing job for woman's hair cut. From what I can see they do a great job for men's hair cut. However ! I only gotten woman's hair cut here: ;) Honestly such a good price for a woman's hair cut. $26 and any add one is an additional price. I would just call if you are unsure- I literally called and got my hair cut same day. Everyone who has cut my hair here has been so friendly and professional. I cut a big portion of my hair off and she checked 3-4 times before she cut it off with me and made sure it's the length I wanted cut off. I got 5 inches cut off my really long hair. Honestly I feel so much lighter and happier. I am so happy I got my hair cut here again. I have been coming to this location for over 10 years and never had a bad hair cut here. I would say if you are skeptical for a woman's hair cut I would definitely try it out. read more

I went here 3 times and all 3 times my hair has been cut WAY too short. 1st time was fine, 2nd time my bangs were halfway down my forehead which I did not ask for, my 3rd time, EVERYTHING was ruined. 6 months of a perfectly healthy, wavy, and most of all good-looking wolfcut, RUINED. I asked for a small trim because my bangs were starting to get into my eyes, and guess what? Too short. Again. The back of my hair is completely ruined and does not flow the way it used to, my stylist had added another layer to the back of my hair which I did not ask for and had completely ruined my hair overall. My sides are too short and was not accurate to what I had showed or asked for AT ALL. Never going here again. Do not recommend paying $30 for this, you have better chances going all the way to Bellevue or Seattle going to a salon that charges $50/$60 for an actual good cut and style. read more

I came here on recommendation from a friend, and I'm so glad I did! I was going to a salon where my wash, style and cut cost nearly $100. So the much lower ticket price here, for the exact same hair cut was greatly welcomed by my wallet! Inside and out of the shop is very clean and organized. The staff are very sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. They even have a TV you can watch/listen to if you don't feel like chatting to the hair dresser. I loved the scalp massage and the shampoo smells amazing! The hair dresser took her time to cut my hair so it was even all the way around. It came out perfect. I also brought in my synthetic fiber cosplay wig with a picture of the character I was cosplaying, and they were able to cut it for me. And it came out perfect! In all, this will be my go-to hair salon. I also plan on getting my nails done here and facial waxing. Talk about one stop awesome shop! read more

I've had two unpleasant experiences here. I brought my 2 year old son and they had us wait forever. One of the stylists obviously did not want to cut a little boy's hair because she was deliberately sweeping up hair and standing around avoiding it. She could have just told us that she didn't want to or couldn't do it instead of having us wait for 30 minutes and then leaving exasperated. I've had my hair cut here myself, I paid extra for a shampoo and left with a very sore scalp because the stylist scratched the heck out of my hair with her sharp nails. I took the kiddo here for a hair cut a couple of weeks ago and got a pedi while he was in the chair. A week later, I messed up part of my pedi in dance class! I stopped by on the way home on Friday to see if they could fix it. Within 10 minutes I was out the door with my french tips back on. She said no charge and sent me on my way. Wow! I wanted ONE INCH trimmed from the ends of my long hair. Three years of trying to grow my hair out and it's gone. Well, half it it is anyway. Once I saw the back and what was done, the haircut stopped. Someone who actually spoke english attempted to even things out, but at that point, not much could be done. Unbelievable. And this was attempted to be explained away by 'a language barrier.' If there IS a language barrier, perhaps SOMEONE who speaks english could coach the person who has the barrier. I love this place! I've been going here a couple years now and keep coming back because of the great cut I get and the wonderful head massage (with a wash). You can pay extra for a longer head massage, but tbh they almost always spend some extra time on you anyway. I for one really appreciate that!... I mean who doesn't like having their head rubbed/scratched. Kim is my favorite- she has a good technique and knows how to deal with my curly hair. I usually go for a trim of a couple inches and relayering, and she knows how to make sure it doesn't look like a shelf or boxy. They are very popular for men's cuts too. Be aware that if you don't make an appointment, they can get super busy, especially in the afternoon. (They are a small salon with two people working at any given time). You can tell how happy their clientele is when it hits rush how and people are dropping in to see how long the wait it. I've seen people who are told it'll be an hour wait or more, and they just happily plop down in a chair. Now that's loyalty! Also, they opened another location in Renton recently. But I haven't tried it yet, since I love Kim so much. read more

The worst hair cut of my life!!! I went in with long layered hair expecting to get a trim and it came out super choppy! Like seriously how did the hair dresser graduate?! In addition, she kept pulling and tugging on my hair. Along with scratching my face with her long nails and spraying water directly at my face. She could have put my hair to the side and sprayed water but no she aimed it at my face. The whole experience was awful! Now I have no choice but to either put my hair up everyday or style it until it grows long enough for me to get it cut again. I will NEVER go back there again. By the way the girl who cut my hair looked like she was in her mid 30's with short hair. Just in case you're wondering who the awful girl who did my hair. She seriously needs to get fired and go back to school to learn how to cut hair properly. Urgh. read more
