There is plenty of parking available, but it is best to park close to the entrance. It is best to get a cart at the entrance, as I mentioned earlier; this is a large nursery. It can be overwhelming as they offer vegetables, annual flowers, perennials, tropicals, and trees. There is plenty of signage, so it is easy to navigate this nursery. There are Barryhill experts available to assist, and we received very helpful advice regarding different rose plants. I do wish they would incorporate mobile POS devices instead of having you navigate across their parking lot to check out. Even open on Sunday for those who are inundated during the week and can't get out except for a weekend. When I first stepped out of my car and began to walk around, it was dizzying. I felt like a kid in a candy store. So many tree varieties to choose from and I couldn't even begin to guess how many acres this place is. There are staff all over going about tending to the plants/trees but if you need help, they will go out of their way to help you. I was assisted by Adam who was extremely friendly and helpful. I simply had a question about a tree but Adam took me around in a cart giving me a tour since it was my first time here. In the end, I did end up buying a tree which they were happy to hold onto until I am ready to bring to my house. All of the staff are very friendly and Adam was especially helpful. They had trees I have been searching for online and some I thought I would have to buy from tree farms and have shipped here. And not only trees, but they have so much for bushes and shrubs and regular plants to decorate your landscaping if that is what you are looking for. Something else I really appreciated was there was no pressure. At other places, I have experienced high pressure sales, but here, they are very knowledgeable and just want to help. The associates are very knowledgeable and provided excellent guidance. Not sure why we have not visited Calloway before but it now in our nursery rotation.
