Came here during a trip to Mazatlan. We saw an advertisement for a free margarita with meal, so that's how we decided to come here. They have my dining partner and me 2 margs, albeit on the smaller side, but still strong! We went with combo 1, which came with guac and salsa, chips, rice, cooked veggies, cocktail shrimp, popcorn shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, coconut shrimp, grilled shrimp, and plain fried shrimp. We were satiated by the end of this meal, and it was absolutely delish! Our fave was the coconut shrimp, so if you have to pick one, make it that one!

This place is a tourist trap so of course it's overpriced and not that great. I don't even know why we ate here but we really wanted some fresh shrimp and we got what we wanted. Wait, now I remember why we ate here -- we had a coupon for a free margarita! Oh yeah, free booze will do it every time! The free drink was STRONG and small, but the perfect size for me. There's no gorgeous view here, just outdoor tables that line the sidewalk and the street. Ask to sit far away from the outer area if you don't want to be harassed by street vendors, child beggars or mariachi bands every 2 seconds. Was it life changing? No, but the shrimp was pretty good and very fresh. The open air restaurant is very clean, a rarity in Mexico. Be warned that cruise ships often list this place as a "recommended" restaurant so prepare to find throngs of fanny pack wearing senior citizens on days when a big ship is in port. Great spot for Yelpers as they have free wi-fi (ask your waiter for the password). The tourist exchange rate isn't awful either; our check was for 675 pesos which should've been about $35 U.S. dollars and they only wanted to charge $43 for their exchange which isn't too bad. Always travel and pay in pesos in Mexico, you'll save a bundle. Prices are on the high side as you'd expect -- this is a restaurant that caters to tourists and it's far from having any sort of true local vibe. If you want to stay within your comfort zone, I'd recommend The Shrimp Factory, but there are better (albeit more risky sanitation-wise) places to eat in Mazatlan.

Tour driver suggested this place. Good food and a rockin band. Touristy but lively. Fun atmosphere and good friendly service.

I started with Robert's Margarita, a delicious and colorful take on the drink. One of the house specialties is the Chicken Marsala, which I accompanied with pureed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Naan is also good. Simply fantastic flavors in everything. The dessert was phenomenal. A dark chocolate brownie with a caramel sauce and topped with hazelnut ice cream. Again, the combination of textures and flavors will guarantee a clean plate. Agatha's reminds me of some of the better places in Palm Springs, CA. Their cuisine truly sets them apart from restaurants anywhere.

Also the warm beet (betabel) salad with goat cheese and pistachios - fabulous! I don't remember it being warm before, but it was great. The only disappointment was the Camarones Crunchy, which was small chewy shrimp, not crunchy at all, on top of a creamy base. We told the server we had been brought the wrong dish, as the shrimp weren't crunchy. She said, no, that's the dish. A manager came over and said that yes, that was the crunchy shrimp dish. Unbelievable. They did finally take the dish off the bill, but we were disappointed that we didn't get a good shrimp dish. The Robert's Margarita was excellent as usual.
