Recently opened, took over Town Tavern, which totally broke my heart. A good day to eat close by since we were dropped with some 10 inches of snow overnight and today. It's too cold to walk much and a pain to have to park downtown with the islands of snow in the middle of the roadways, but then again we found a spot within a block. Jess is waiting on us. Ordered truffle fries, as Gouda as it gets with avocado ilo of bacon, the olive oyl, Ty cobb salad less bacon. We are eating carbs galore since it's Fat Tuesday and we are going to cut out fried foods for Lent for the next 6.5 weeks. The truffles fries are not shoe string sized at all, but tasted quite good. Nicely seasoned, crispy, and flavorful. They are easy to inhale for sure. The Gouda as it gets is so vanilla and tasteless. I asked for some BBQ sauce to get it down. There's sautéed onions on it but it's devoid of flavor to me. It seemed dry, it needs some sauce to accompany this panini style sandwich. It's very lacking. The olive Oyl was okay, the garlic aioli was okay, the sandwich as a whole was bland and boring. The Ty Cobb is big, we split it into two bowls. The lettuce leaves were a bit old and burnt in my old and ate a few bites of lettuce that tasted rather expired. The balsamic dressing is also lack luster to me. They charged me $0.75 for a side of BBQ sauce for the fries, that should have been mentioned to me when I ordered it, no? I advised Jess to let customers know about the up charge. She told me one side comes with the fries, I said that's fine, it would have been good to let me know was all. It was all just okay, not quite deserving of the space it took over, just yet. The truffle fries was the best part of our meal tonight. Just take off the shoestring fries off the menu, they are normal sized fries. It has potential, but still needs some tweaking, as the service was good until the excuses at the end.

Wow, I am not sure what happened. Somehow this review has been sitting in my draft since 04-18-2021. This was my first time coming here tonight. I met up with a couple of buddies after work for food and drinks. First off, I have to say Samantha was fantastic. She was a delight to deal with, and she put up with my buddies' boomer stuff. Lol, I mean shit, but I am not sure if I can say that on her. Anywho she was a delight to deal with, and honestly, dealing with my boomer friend, I feel like she went about and beyond. I got the chicken sandwich and chips, and it was fantastic. The chick was so juicy. And the chips, I think, were homemade. I will be back placed is an excellent hangout.

I have been here twice so far and have truly enjoyed it for a date night with my boyfriend. Really amazing food, for the price, which is on the pricey side but, WORTH IT! Staff is always kind and helpful. I enjoy going out to this place on a weekend the vibes are chill with good music and fantastic lighting.

Everything was good! It's been a bit since I've been here since I forgot to review it after I went. But I had a whiskey drink, some onion rings and a turkey sandwich. I liked the ambiance of the place, and they were following covid guidelines. I'll definitely be back

Stopped in for dinner and was positively surprised at the new look of the bar. Didn't change much but it does look a little classier and I like the big TVs. A nice dark ambience surrounds you and would be ideal for a date night. I had the brokeback burger and fries and my friends had sandwiches. All the food was very tasty and high quality. The service was great and our waitress was also very good. The one thing that threw me is the style of food didn't match the ambience. The quality was impeccable and the flavor was great, but The food items are very bar-ish while the ambiance was a lot more classier in my opinion. Also, some of the names of their dishes are a little cliche. I also had an old fashion that was quite good but for the price it seemed like it was a little short. with a large ice cube it barely filled up half of a rock's glass for around $11 or $12. Definitely plan on coming back to try additional items on the menu! Glad something opened up here during this rough time.

They were just opening up, but they let us sit at the bar while they got the restaurant ready for dinner. We all got drinks at the bar. I got The Final Rose drink. its's very pretty and not too strong. After sipping on the drinks, the host brought us to our table. Chris was our server that day. He was super friendly and answered all of our questions regarding the menu. Here's what we got: - Michigan lamb ragu (his) - Lobster and shrimp pad thai (mine) - Crab and shrimp cakes (share) - clam chowder (share) His family got some of the same items, but I can't remember the different items they got. The overall consensus though was that everything tasted fantastic. Coming from the Bay Area, I have high expectations when it comes to Asian food, so I was pleasantly surprised by how great the pad thai tasted. The clam chowder was creamy and delightful. The crab cakes were the perfect size and not teeny tiny. The lamb ragu was very well done also and my husband is a big fan of lamb so he really enjoyed his meal. Since we were there early, it was quiet which was nice. Would definitely return in the future the next time I am in Michigan.

A hostess who takes your money and gives you a bracelet, automated beer, and you use your phone to order from the kitchen, they text you and you go get your food. I wondered many times how they could serve alcohol and not monitor how much people were drinking? So I asked. The host is in the front said at the end of 32 oz is your bracelet will not work and you need to come up and see me to reset it. I guess that's how they would monitor whether or not someone could get another 32 oz? I'm surprised not more places have copied their business layout. With the new generation, this would be the place to go, you barely have to speak to anyone except for the people you're with.

The people working here were so friendly and personable with literally everyone that walked in the door. The service was top notch. It is also the most adorable place giving vibes of Lamy's food counter at Henry Ford Museum. I loved all of the options on the menu and it was so hard just picking a couple items to try. We had chicken tacos. They were so good and so fresh, I loved the sauce on top. Honestly, I am not sure if it was cheese or a sour cream type mixture, but it was creamy and flavorful. I also had the torta which was absolutely incredible. It had the same chicken as the taco. The chicken was slow cooked or stewed and shredded and was so flavorful, like a homecooked chef's kiss. The bread was fresh. I loved the sauce poured over it, making it a dipped and soaked sandwich. The carrots and cilantro, sliced radishes and sliced fresh jalapenos added a level of crunch, freshness and deeper flavor profile. I would want to get this every time. We also tried their delicious "curly" fries, which were like julienned shoestring fries fired fresh. It seemed like every dish was made fresh and right in front of you. So worth it, plus the prices are great. I would love to try their fried chicken plate, their breakfast sandwiches, and their other desserts. We talked to the man behind the counter who seemed like maybe a manager. He gave us their famous chocolate chip cookie to try. It was fresh baked and delicious. I would love to take home more of those. It looked so simple but was better than many bakeries specializing in cookies alone. He also gave us an second order of fries to take home with my leftovers, just top notch kindness and service. This man told us that OWL owns other restaurants and we would probably like them. I am open to trying more of their group but I do want to return here. This is one of those diners you would find being profiled for best kept secret or gourmet home cooked foods under the guise of fast food.

My wife ordered the Beet & Salmon Salad, while I chose the Crispy Chicken Club with white cheddar and house-smoked bacon. The sandwich was absolutely incredible--hands down the best crispy chicken club I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the combination of flavors was outstanding. I also stole a few bites of my wife's salad and was pleasantly surprised by the yellow beets. I'd only ever had red beets before, and both varieties were prepared beautifully. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with the fresh ingredients.
