For beginner climbers, this location is a poor choice because all the routes are at levels 5.9 or higher. I only saw one route that was a 5.8, and it was on an auto-belay. However, if you have some climbing experience already, this place is so cool! In addition to the general routes inside the silos, there are also routes located between silos, and routes that make you traverse over obstacles and around doorways. Some routes get darker and darker the higher you climb, so you get a spooky feeling of climbing into a reverse abyss. Also, there are routes on the outside of the silos for lead climbing! I'm from Dallas, so I don't get to come here often and don't know how often new routes are added. But just based on the novelty of the gym, I have to give it 5 stars read more

Super cool and amazing the climate a green silo, though I do recommend not climbing in the middle of summer because heat rises in the upper half of the silencers get hot but that aside it's a really cool concept and I love repurposing places and things when possible. read more

This was my first time at a rock climbing gym where you're on your own and it was exhilarating!! The staff is really chill and they have day pass options for $27 which includes gear & climb shoes if you're not a member. They have you sign waivers, give you a tour of the gym, & then an orientation for safety dos & don'ts. I was a bit nervous when I found out there would be no spotter but they walked me through how to hook myself up and even watched me do my first climb before letting me go explore solo. It takes a lot of upper body strength and grip strength so be prepared to get a little workout in. I've done indoor rock climbing before but not like this and I had so much fun!! It was an adrenaline rush. I was visiting from out of town so I definitely want to check out the local climbing gyms in other cities!! read more

What a fun and unique experience if you're visiting OKC! Climbing in old silos was the highlight of my trip. Been to many a gym but none like this! The staff was friendly and got us checked in and belay certified quick and we got tons of climbing in during our visit. This place felt like a maze, the routes were challenging and fun. Came with the husband for an afternoon of climbing. He's never been and I haven't done it in 15 years. The girls were very informative there and extremely helpful. I do strongly encourage taking the fifteen minute belay certification class. If you have any fear of anything, the auto-belay will set off some of your triggers! Just best not to. But anyhow, I love the courses. Clearly labeled. Only found one loose hand-hold our entire visit. I will be back. So much fun! read more

The place is honestly awesome. They have so many options for you to climb and the price is super cheap if you go on a certain day with a student ID and all. But the problem was the staff. Some were friendly and some were just rude. We had a big group and the two at the front didnt really welcome us in and didnt say please or thank you. When we were taking turns paying, they would literally bark at us and say NEXT ONE. And while we were getting trained for one part one was rude and wasn't very patient. I really liked the experience but the staff makes me want to think twice about going again. Maybe they were just having a bad day but it was definitely not the level of customer service i was expecting at an interactive gym. read more

I have been long excited about learning to climb and because I have a motor impairments, I wanted to take a few private lessons before I start group lessons so that I don't slow the group instruction down. I researched both Summit and another climbing gym in the city, and decided that Summit had better rates, plus a $30 special for the first month. About two weeks before I signed up for the special, I filled out the contact page for information on private lessons letting them know what I was looking for. I did not hear back after a few days so I filled out the form again. I heard back some days later, and I responded. Expecting to start lessons soon I signed up for the special. Unfortunately, I still have not heard back, even after sending another email. I have tried emailing the address on the receipt and the message bounced back. I normally would not post this on a review, but there is no other way to make contact in writing, so I'm leaving this review here. Hopefully once I get some lessons under my belt, I'll be able to give this place a real try. read more

Been dying to try the silo Climb Up facility for a while now, and since our Groupon's expiration date was rapidly approaching, finally went this weekend. Thankfully they have geo-thermal climate control now, so you're not freezing - don't know what it's like in the summer. It's a series of silos, so not that big when it comes to the number of routes, but the vertical distance is awesome! The setup is the same as in Norman - All top rope routes are pre-set up with gris gris' and a locking carabiner for clipping into to climb - I.e. all you need to know is how to belay with a gris gris. They have quite a few auto-belays and the variety of route grades was great. It's definitely a change from the competition - the holds are slick and there's hardly any roofs, so the grades are based on the hold types. I am a huge fan of pressing and gaston moves, and Climb Up has several routes where that type of climbing is either incorporated or the focus for the route - SUPER fun! And a few of the routes go all the way to top of the silo - Definitely challenges your endurance. IMO: Climb Up OKC is a fantastic place to visit every once in a while - The lack of variety and size in their OKC location, and the long distance b/t it and their Norman location makes it hard to recommend a membership, but I do recommend visiting and absolutely would recommend it over the competition for first-time climbers! read more

Our large group arrived at 10 pm for our reservation. Not real thrilled with the check in process but got through it. No big deal. The front desk help was very helpful and willing to answer questions. Well done to the two young ladies there. However, the two trainers are where things broke down. They were arrogant, unwilling to listen and at times hateful to the high school kids. My group of seniors had a couple separated from their group due to the young man unwilling to get that group together for the first training stop. When I tried to get the 2 separated back together, he rejected without any willingness to listen to what he actually caused himself. Smiles while being hateful on responses has no place in a place of business. Then upon checking out, it was learned this business does not invoice. I have no doubt this was omitted from the reservation conversation. I paid reluctantly. Not a good experience as a large group. I will suggest avoiding this place in the future. read more

Took my daughter and her friends for her birthday, place is great! Really had a great time, love the use of an old grain elevator genius! I wish I could remember the name of the young man that helped us get set up, he was really understanding and patient with the kids. Membership paid for itself!!! On a Saturday night I was going out to get drinks at about 11o'clock at night, and as my garage door closed I realized that I did not have my clicker and deadbolted my front door closed from the inside. As a result I was locked out of my apartment even though I had my keys. My only option was to sit and wait for who knows how long for a locksmith to get me in my apartment and pay them for the trouble of coming so late at night. Not to mention completely ruin going out for drinks. Then I realized I had my climbing shoes I had purchased from Summit as part of their gear package in my car. With the skills I learned here I ended up scaling the side of my brick apartment up to my 3rd story window seal and managed to get inside. Unlocked my door and saved the night. Came here with a group of friends, we've been to gyms all over the country and this is far and away the best we've ever been to. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, several auto belays as well as numerous routes for all skill levels. There are so many routes to climb, a bouldering room, everything you could look for in a climbing gym. Not to mention how downright cool it is to climb to the top of an old grain silo. What a cool place to get high! Off the ground! Great exercise, pretty intimidating if u don't like heights. I took my two kids who climbed and climbed. If ur kids r under 14, they have a thing called auto belay. Most of those silos only go up to about 35-40 foot high. But if u have a partner, u can go all the way up. Assuming ur over 14. The silos go close to 100 ft high! There's air conditioning and it's very comfortable. There's about 10 different silos and each silo has at least one auto belay and 4-5 other places to climb if u have a partner. The staff came around and visited with everyone and gave pointers to the young climbers. The music being played was awesome, I couldn't stop singing. They also have a strength training room ( peg boards other finger boards) and a practice room with a thick pad on the floor. So if u have never climbed or if ur en expert, climb up will test ur strength and skills. Oh yeah, if ur really good u can climb on the outside of the silos too!! read more
