I don't live in the city, so when I am here for work this is my go to DoorDash order. The food is usually really good, but my order is messed up every week. One week they leave off the olives, one week there is no extra feta I paid additional for, one week the chicken was left off the bowl, this week the sauce is not on the side. I love the flavor of the food and the quick service, but I wish the store would pay closer attention to the DoorDash orders and double check them before they are sent out. I work in an office building downtown and it is not practical for me to leave to pickup lunch, so I rely on services like DoorDash. If the owners or managers of this store are reading this, please have your workers pay closer attention to the orders being sent out. DoorDash has had to refund me on more than one occasion for these simple mistakes. I love your food, but your customer service and attention to detail are sorely lacking. So the three stars come from your not expediting orders properly, on more than one occasion. I want to continue to patronize your establishment. So please pay closer attention. This is one of my go-to places to eat. It's very quick, I'm in and out in 5 mins, yet the food is still fantastic. Great place for a quick lunch. Quick and friendly service. Great central location, it's accessible to all of downtown. It's a great dinner option too. Whether I'm heading to a pels game, a show at the Saenger, going to the Quarter etc... it's always a very convenient stop no matter where I'm headed downtown. I usually get the lemon chicken bowl with Greek fries and a cookie. Tons of great add on options for bowls. This is a healthy, fast and friendly meal when you need a break from the heavier New Orleans fare. The staff were super friendly,'the food was fresh, and the music was perfectly pitched. Nicest, cleanest bathrooms in the area. We got the bowls--loaded up with greens, seasoned rice, grilled lemon chicken, veggies and a mixture of the tzaksini (sp?) and vinegrette dressings.' An employee told me they "weren't responsible for the addiction that these cookies create." And, he was not wrong! The cookie was honestly perfect. It was soft and chewy in the middle but the nice crispness on the edges that I love. It's a build your own bowl or wrap type of place and what I appreciate is that despite being slow because of COVID they still had 4 workers. I got a bowl and they do not skimp on any of the toppings. The bowl was totally enough for 2 servings and the falafel was so soft and delicious. All the toppings and sauces were so fresh too. If I could leave negative stars, I would. Apple Maps has the hours wrong for this location. It says they close at 10 pm instead of 9 pm, so I placed an order online through the simple Greek website at 9 pm. The order went through, and I got a notification saying my order would be ready at 9:15 pm. I show up at 9:15 pm, and a guy who is working tells me they close at 9 pm and that they canceled my order. I was never notified that my order was canceled, and the payment went through. Without any attitude, I say, "Okay, can I get a refund then?". The nice guy says he'll get his manager, so he does. The manager comes out already upset and with an attitude. She aggressively told me that they canceled my order and they could do nothing. I said, "I understand that, but I still paid for it, so may I get a refund?" She rudely told me I needed to contact the delivery service I ordered from. I calmly, but clearly frustrated, said to her that I ordered from the restaurant's direct website and only they could give me a refund. She then picked up a receipt and shoved it in my face, saying, "I'm not doing anything. I already closed out." At this point, I was frustrated because the store hours were wrong on Apple Maps, allowing me to believe I could order at 9 pm. The order went through without any notification of being canceled, and when I walked in and asked for a refund, as should be expected, the manager was extremely disrespectful and unhelpful. I asked to take a picture of my order receipt to get the refund the following day, and before I walked out, I told the manager, and this is quoted precisely, "You didn't need to have such an attitude with me. I was calmly asking for a refund". She blew up and started yelling that this was not her fault and cursing me out. At this point, I'm fed up because I also did nothing wrong. It's not my fault your hours are listed incorrectly, and I'm sorry, but an order being placed at precisely 9 pm is not the end of the world. You could have made the order. I understand why they didn't, but don't act like I'm wrong or ruining your day by asking for a refund. So when I turned around to leave, I said, "Well then, you should change your hours on maps," and then, I'm not going to lie; I flipped her the bird while walking out. That gave her NO right to do what she did next at her place of work. It was extremely unprofessional and dangerous. She CHASED me outside and tried to fight me. She was screaming at me the whole time. I stood there and told her I would not fight her, and she kept egging me on, hands raised, ready to attack me. Meanwhile, I still had my key, phone, and giant water bottle in my hands, standing in a relaxed stance. She continued to curse me out and asked me to stick around until she got off to fight her. I obviously am not going to do this because I'm an actual adult, and all I wanted was food and/or a refund. This happened tonight, on 6/11/24, at 9:15 pm., so whoever was the female manager closing on this day should be fired. If you have cameras, please watch the cameras as well. This woman chased me out of her place of work, still wearing her uniform, attacking me for asking for a refund... I will leave this review on every single review site if she is not reprimanded. People should know that these are the type of employees this company values. I will be coming in tomorrow morning for a refund and to verify this woman is reprimanded. read more

I am sorry I waited so long to try Simple Greek after they opened. OMG this is by far the most delicious build-your-own place yet. The concept of doing it with Greek food is brilliant. I started my bowl with half rice pilaf and half lentils as the base, then added gyro, grilled green beans, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers and feta with tzatziki to finish. It was DELICIOUS and so fresh. I also got a side of the spicy roasted red pepper sauce, and yeah I could eat a bucket of that. The second time I went I got the spanakopita, falafel, and a "side" of gyro which was huge. AGAIN, OMG!!! I eat Mediterranean/ Greek/ Middle Eastern all the time and love it from everywhere (except Hallal Guys, good riddance) and the spanakopita and falafel here were the best I've ever had, hands down. Thank you to whoever decided New Orleans needed one of these restaurants in our life because we most certainly did. And it is an affordable CBD meal, too! I am just blown away, I didn't expect it to be great, and I've never been so happily surprised. If you work downtown, you must try it.
