This is the first time I've been out to eat in a restaurant since COVID-19 started. I'm so glad this was my first outing. As we were traveling to our Airbnb, we stopped here. There's lots of pay parking, so you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot. We sat outside on the patio. Tables were very safely distanced. They're pet friendly which was good since we had our dogs with us. The service was great! Our waiter was very friendly. He even brought the pouches some water. We started with the jalapeño poppers. Yum, very good. My husband and I got the Cowboy Reuben (brisket) and Mac'n Cheese, totally delicious. We also got the Steak Frites. Served a little different than normal but good. Everyone else in our party enjoyed their meals. It was a great way to start our trip. Definitely give this place a try. read more

Love this place! It's a little divey but I loved the charm. My boyfriend and I decided to check them out after we spent the whole day hiking and figured we could really use a good burger. We were not disappointed. We each got Oreo milkshakes which were yummy. We also ordered the buffalo Mac and cheese and the Texas onion straw burger. I have to say while the Mac was delicious, the real star of the show was the burger which is was divine. If you need some delicious carbs this is the place to go. Funky place with good food. It has been around for a long time and has a lot of character. Many famous people have visited and signed the walls. We didn't have reservations and it was the day before a Buffs game. It was crazy busy(I would recommend reservations) but the host took our name and phone number and said it would be a ten minute wait. We didn't mind waiting so we went to the bar and ordered a drink. I ordered a spicy Bloody Mary and it was good. Bloody Marys can be hit or miss and this was a hit. Our lunch was good- i had the Mesa chicken sandwich,my husband had one of the specialty sandwiches. This is the best place to eat on the hill. Period... ...Okay well maybe that Korean spot in the food court might be better but lets not talk about that... The Sink is an iconic spot. From its low ceilings to it's atmosphere its always a great spot. Having worked for years on the hill its one of the only places i'm actually able to eat at being sick of everything else. 1) I recommend the burgers. They've always been great and I think that the veggie burger at the sink is the best in town 2) Just ordering a side Cesar salad and a beer kicks ass. Light mean + show at the fox. Always a good combo. 3) The pizzas are great.. Coloradans do honey on CO pizza and its wack. and its fine. and its not bad. Personal pizzas come with a larger crust to topping ratio though so maybe just go small if your alone. There's always bums on the hill if you have leftovers. Eating pizza here is fine though. I would call it generally above par. The truth is no one loves you and you'll continue to eat alone, and this is a really good place to eat alone. The best part of eating alone is this isn't a bad place to eat alone. 10/10 read more

A unique restaurant to say the least. Pretty cool vibe with the live music playing as we ate, and the staff was friendly. The ceilings are low and I felt a little claustrophobic, especially with all of the graffiti/art covering the walls. The place seems small from the front, but it's deceiving because there are lots of tables. The nachos were awesome! We shared them as an appetizer but our food came so quickly afterwards that we didn't really get to dive in too deep. I got their famous burger that was featured on DDD and it was really good. I don't like leaving terrible reviews but I have to say this place was awful. I was in the Denver area for some hiking and vacation and saw this place had appeared on Food Network's Dinners Drive-ins and Dives and thought it would be an awesome place for my boyfriend and I to refuel with some guilty pleasure food after some intense hiking. I can't emphasize enough how bad the service was. We were mostly standing around awkwardly waiting for someone to acknowledge us, at 2pm on a weekday, it was very odd. The bartender happ need to walk by after about 10 minutes and offered us a table. Never asked for a drink order he just popped back by after a while and asked what we wanted to eat. We ordered to cowboy Ruben, since it was the sandwich featured on the show and he left. He dropped our sandwich off and we never saw him again until we saw him helping another table nearby and asked for our check. The sandwich was SOAKED in butter, greasy and hard to eat. Great place in CU Boulder neighborhood. Ambiance is very unique. Service is great and food was delicious. Definitely recommend jalapeño stuffed with cheese and bacon, and their special sandwich (cowboy Reuben). We were a group of 9 who visited this place. I heard great feedback from all the members of my group. Pricing is great. Love the ambience. However, I gave them a 4 Star because they got a couple of our orders wrong. Also, few members of our group had to wait quite some time for their entree. Definitely recommend this place to all visitors who are visiting CU Boulder or Boulder in general. My husband and I were looking for burgers and happened upon this restaurant through a Yelp search. As it turns out Diner, Drive-Ins and Dives has been here too!! We ordered the New Caribou Ranch Burger and the Bourbon Jalapeño Burger with sweet potato fries and Cole slaw. Bother we're AMAZING!! To start our experience I ordered the Coin Margarita which was devine; made with a homemade habanero and pineapple infused tequila I was blown away!! I hadn't been to The Sink in 25 years when we went the other night in recognition of its 100 years in business. I don't expect I'll be going back. They had some confusion in the kitchen, resulting in our order being lost for over an hour. When we finally got our food, it was cold. I gave it back to them and decided to skip dinner. While I understand everyone has a bad night, the failure was at every level. They were very busy (and a little chaotic) for a weekday evening, so maybe it was just a failure experience for our table. read more

I'm not a CU Boulder grad, but I was in Boulder with one this past weekend. She recommended we check out the Hill and we decided that we wanted to checkout this spot -- a classic for those connected to the campus. I was glad we did, as it was just like the places I was used to in college, except that the food was actually really good. We got here just after 1PM on a Saturday and had about a 10 minute wait for a table of four (not bad). As we were taken to our table, I was in awe of the place -- the artwork and writing on the walls was gritty and fantastic. The Sink had a nice beer menu (I was happy to see Odd13 as one of the options), so we all ordered beers. For food, I decided that it would be worth checking out the "Sink Burger" (but with the veggie burger). This is why this place gets a five-star rating for me: the veggie burger was made in house and was, without a doubt, the best veggie burger I've had in a few years. The texture, consistency, and taste were all spot on. It wasn't a "big brand" (Impossible or Beyond Meat), but I legitimately thought it was better. The burger had great toppings by default and the fries were perfectly crisped and seasoned. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in Boulder. I'm going to make a very bold statement, and say that I had one of the, if not BEST burger of my life from here! Yes I know very bold. The Texas Straw Burger was out of this state! Literally ;) It was so delicious and paired so well with the in-house made pickles. I'm inspired now to can all the cucumbers! This place is FANTASTIC! Great food, great service, great vibes. It's no surprise Guy Fieri AND Obama decided to pay this place a visit :') I got the veggie burger here, and man it was DELICIOUS. The patty was perfectly moist while maintaining a delicious crispy exterior, and it was nicely complemented with goat cheese and tart, sweet balsamic glazed onions. This is one of those burgers that I'll be thinking about for a while.... I'd steer clear of the sweet potato fries though, they were cut pretty thick and weren't as tasty. The vibes in this place are also fantastic! The inside has really quirky, fun decor; I'd check it out even if you choose to eat outside (like I did)! Service from the bartender was great that's why I am giving any stars, the bartender was so friendly and nice as he accommodated us while we waited for our table. Other than that our experience and food was horrible. 12 wings for $30 very over priced. I had to ask for Buffalo sauce 3x before receiving it. I would think these would be the best wings I've ever had in my life. Nope! Dry, no flavor. Cheeseburgers are okay. Pizza was the best thing they had. When receiving the bill waitress ran my card. I was over charged for some items and also was not informed that I would be charged the ranch and blue cheese. Of course I don't see this until after they processed my card. A great, dingy, crazy bar to get deliciously messy burgers and tons of beers. You walk in the dining room and you're met with VERY low ceilings scribbled on by patrons and walls painted with funky, weird murals. A really neat place to eat, but we opted to eat outside. We started with the stuffed jalapenos, which is their fresh take on poppers--baked jalapenos filled with bacon, cream cheese, and spices--they recommend getting a side of ranch or blue-cheese dressing to tame the heat. I ordered the Cowboy Reuben burger, which was featured on the Food Network, it is a burger with a brisket marinaded overnight and then smoked for ten hours to give a deep flavor, piled on top. They then add super slaw, cheddar cheese, and a Texas chipotle BBQ sauce, served on rye bread. This. Was. A. Glorious. Mess. Once you pick it up you can't put it down because it's sooooo good, but also impossible to pick it back up in one piece. My date ordered the Big Bad Wolf, which is a burger piled with bacon, birsket, provolone cheese, and their "world famous" Sink sauce--she loved it. The kids ordered the Sink Burger, which is grass-fed beef from Caribou Ranch in Nederland, CO, and is hormone free, antibiotic free, and grain free. They claim it's leaner and higher in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and E, and never frozen. The kids loved it and probably couldn't tell all the goodness that was inside. The only gripe was the ketchup--it was flavorless and watery. This was a great place for great burgers. Fun to dine outside, but funner inside. read more

We went there because friends of ours in Chicago told us their friends own it and we should check it out. What a great find. It's kinda dingy with low ceilings and writing all over the walls but it is yummy. We had some great beer and fantastic sandwiches. I got the BBQ and bacon cheeseburger, I subbed out the cheddar and got Swiss and I also added grilled pineapple. Very good combination. Sweet potato fries were pretty thick cut, the smaller ones were good, but the bigger ones are just too big for my taste. They don't get crisp enough. My daughter had the BBQ chicken pizza and added pineapple too. I ate a piece and thought it was pretty good as well, although I thought the crust was just ok. I definitely preferred my burger. Fun atmosphere with a bunch of crazy murals. Really low ceilings, so keep that in mind if you are much taller than 6' or claustrophobic. read more

This place is an establishment that's been on the hill for ages and for a good reason - be prepared for filling high-quality bar food. The atmosphere is casual bar, with a low ceiling and cartoons all over the walls - part of the charm. We had some very tasty wings and a prime time burger bowl. Tall people heads up! This place is truly unique and it feels like you're in a underground restaurant at a secret location. The food was beyond amazing, our waitress was extremely friendly, and the endless amounts of artwork will keep you entertained for hours! Occurred Feb. 2023: Manager confiscated my out of state ID and spoke rudely to my mother. When asked to call the police to verify, the manager took my ID into the back office. Server never brought drinks or addressed the table again. My husband was able to get my ID back from the manager, but never received an apology (I guess cops never showed up?) Such a shame since my husband and I wanted to celebrate our move, but will continue passing on the message that The Sink is nothing more than a tourist trap. ****PS: Out of state IDs in a college town are normal, especially if the whole table shows you the same state. If you have such a bad underage drinking problem then invest in ID scanners instead of wasting emergency services and alienating customers.**** read more
