So I have driven by this restaurant a number of times, telling myself I need to try it out. So today I had a chance to have lunch here. I had a very good experience. My waiter Koma was very friendly and she made me very welcome. I ordered the Wyld Burger Burger, which was very good. Just bring a good appetite for this one. I am a sucker for good peanut butter pie, so I ordered one to go. That was a good decision, very good. My only concern with this restaurant is it is a little worn. The seat in by booth was ripped and more concerning was the restroom was not clean. They need to spend some time on this. I would recommend this restaurant, but these items will drop my rating. read more

New owners need to hire knowledgeable managers to bring this cute Sasquatch place back to life. I watched the staff struggle with no clear direction or staff meetings to know what's going on, what's new, tasting menu items, etc. There were no beans for my espresso martini so I went for a beer but they were warm because the refrigerator was just turned on. Then the bartender asked if I was to try their Pilsner....wait you have beer on tap?? No indication there were taps. The only redeeming part of my meal was the mac & cheese, which was spicy as promised. I would not be going back to this place anytime soon. Hopefully they can sort it out and not lose good staff. I'd actually give this place 3.5 stars. We did the Dining in the Black Forest experience and you are totally in the dark. They don't even let you see the room after the dining experience. For drinks, we had the flavored lemonade (blackberry was the best) and the we were given blacked out goggles and led into the room. The menu, 6 courses, ranged from appetizers to desert. I'll agree that many dishes were "mushy" but the flavors were good. The first appetizer was a bite with feta and was the best serving in my opinion. The Bao bun was a little too sweet for my liking, and the asparagus soup was the absolute shocker of the night. It was creamy and filling and tasted almost as a gravy than a soup. The bruschetta should have been served with bread, not on the bread. That made it super soggy. The menu changes often so these are just reviews on the menu we had. When they provide a dish, the server tells you how the chef recommended how to eat (with utensils or hands) and they played the sounds of the forest in the background. Nice experience! read more

Went to a recent comedy show at Wyld Pines. Horrible service . Our server took literally 45 minutes to get our drinks, while other guests arriving after us got drinks and food. My wife ordered a John Daily and I ordered an Arnie Palmer. When they finally came, I asked the server which one had alcohol. She told me she didn't know, and to try them. The first had the alcohol. What if I was allergic? We were excited about the menu at Wyld Pines, but we're told we could only order off a very limited show menu, even though we artived an hour before the show. We ordered the burger(decent), mozzarella sticks(standard, but no sauce), Brussel sprouts( so much sauce. Inedible) and wings(cooked to the point of plywood. Inedible). Sound of the show was bad, and visibility was worse. Comics were meh, one funny, and another had a few funny moments, in a waaaaay to long set. read more

I surprised my sister with the Dark Forest Dining Experience at Wyld Pines. It was amazing. The staff is friendly, the food was delicious, and the opportunity to spend time with the chef afterwards to ask questions is the cherry on top. The server was nice but there's was only one server handling all 8 tables. She was racing around playing bar tender and server. The manager was helping out. Sadly, I think this restaurant has potential but the service is pretty lacking. It seems new ownership has taken over, not sure if this is a continuation of prior issues or caused from it. Either way as others have noted the service is extremely s - l - o - w. Firstly, I want to preface this by saying the one waitress they have tending the bar, tables, and everything else is amazing. She should not be doing all that on her own, and that's a lack of planning allowing that. She's friendly, helpful, and does what she can, but she's only one person. Secondly, the food is often way too oily. This can range from the appetizers, to some of the sandwiches/burgers, and even veggies. Lastly, I used to love coming here for the salads. They were fresh, large/filling, and full of toppings. Now? A $25+ salad with some added protein comes in a regular sized salad bowl you'd have in your home which is seemingly new with the recent change in management. Definitely not worth the price. I don't say all this to disparage the restaurant or employees. I want this place to succeed because I like the location, and think it's a fun spot to frequent. Changes are needed though if they're going to continue to charge the amount of money for the lengthy waits, and quality/quantity of the food being served. read more

Pretty great place! The decor and overall feeling is amazing. Northwest themed. Lots of sasquatches! The food was good! I kind of want to explore the menu even more but I enjoyed what we got. The big winner for me was the nachos. The burger was also pretty good I want to now try others. The service was good, however it took a while when we went in to get our food, check ,etc. But I don't blame them in any way though. They appeared short staffed, it was father's day lots was going on. The staff was massively apologetic and also overtly friendly from start to finish. Been here a few times. Always received great service, the bar is really cool with a nice ambience. The food was good for happy hour food and super affordable. $6 avocado fries, $6 cheese bread, and I think nachos and shrimp a couple bucks more. Avocado fries and nachos were great. The panko breading on the avocado give it such a good crunch followed by a nice perfectly ripened avocado. Nachos were just fun to share with great toppings. This public house is very cute inside it gives a whole camper Sasquatch hiking vibe. However, it has very strong drinks for very outrageous prices. We had the peanut butter pie, which was very rich large but very good. The reason why this has three stars is because the service sucks and it took so long for our dessert to come out. read more

The dark dining experience is a bucket list must! What a memorable experience. I love how the lack of sight not only enhances your senses and makes the food more enjoyable, it encourages conversation and provokes more intimacy in your meal. The 7 courses were served in a timely manner making sure you weren't left lingering for more. The waitstaff was incredible there infections boister made us so comfortable we forgot we were blind at times.. The drinks came at the perfect times. The food was ridiculously good, maybe it's the heightened sense but I could eat that salad dressing on a shoe and still be happy ;) Definitely a super fun Date experience! I would love to check out some of Chef B's other dark menus, he really takes his menu from the dark ages to the modern day with some great twists. Just gotta start this review by saying that the nachos here are THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD. Seriously. They use like ALLLLL the best cheeses, including BLEU CHEESE! It's pretty subtle but utterly amazing. I think this entire review should be on the incredible nachos. Because now that I think about it, I don't think I remember the rest of the meal. But the server was really nice. She was the only one working lunch and did an amazing job. Wyld Pines has a pretty nice lunch special menu. I'm pretty sure we ordered a couple of things off of it. Went with a friend for their weekday lunch specials ($10) and food was pretty good! Pros: good service, decent portions - we both got the fish tacos, came with chips. Ordered a side of beer battered fries. Not busy! Cons: asked for a side of cheese sauce - they brought beer cheese but added $4 to the bill. I think anytime they charge, they should let customers know. Also we asked for ranch sauce and they also added $0.50 to the bill. We didn't mind paying, but again they should tell us :( Other than that, I'll definitely come back and try more of their $10 lunch specials! I won't ask for extra sauces lol. read more

We gave dining in the dark a whirl at a 5PM dinner seating. The servers were great. One member of our party had an allergic reaction to the latex band on the eye shields. The staff was quick to help out and lend a hand. As a "experience," dining in the dark delivered an unusual, and memorable meal. Overall, we thought the meal was rushed. The objective seemed to be to rocket our group through the meal ASAP. We were taken to our table 5:10'ish and were back outside by 6:30. It might be less rushed if the establishment didn't have another seating at 7PM.... I found the food to be rather bland and forgettable. Was the food actually bland, or did the lack of vision play a part in my perception of the blandness? I don't know. I didn't walk away saying that the food was great. The conversation at our table struggled. Lacking visual cues about speaking, and engaging in conversation, resulted in a challenging time. We talked, it wasn't silence, but it was challenging. Most of our conversation centered around what we thought we were eating. Overall, it was an unusual experience. If I'm In the area again I would give the restaurant a whirl, but in the normal dining room. read more

This was our first time trying this place and I don't think we will be back. The wedge salad and the garlic truffle parmesan fries were pretty good, but the steak bites that come with the salad and the cheeseburger we got was not great. The bacon that we paid extra for with the burger tasted heavily of old oil and was basically a crumpled log of over crunchy bacon (see behind burger in images). We ordered the steak bites medium, they came out well done and tough. The root beer tasted watered down. Cesar salad was unevenly dressed. I tried this place out for lunch, for a business dinner, and now for dinner with my wife and all three times the service has been slow. But this time was like walking through molasses. There were 7 tables with one waitress and the hostess/manager. We ordered a pretzel and a turkey sandwich... one hour later still no food. When I asked the waitress when our food would ready, she said soon, we had one table and then seven all at one time. I get it, but you're in the business of feeding people, you have to be prepared to have 7 tables all ordering food. We ended up leaving the restaurant with empty stomachs. I am from Ohio and have family in Camas. I have eaten at Wyld Pines in the past and been pleased. The appetizers were great. We (4 persons), three orders burgers. I ordered rare and grandson ordered medium rare and a third well done. My burger meat was grey so I thought is was well done. I had ordered the Blacken Chicken Alfredo to be delivered. Which I've had before, usually it's pretty good. What was delivered, was a cross between Mac & cheese and Alfredo. It's not the Mac that's on their menu, but had the Mac noodles. The sauce was an attempt of Alfredo. It had no flavor. It was very dry (hardly any sauce). The chicken was breaded, no flavor and tough. Definitely not blackened chicken; which in the past their blackened chicken was fantastic. It had crunchy onions and tomatoes. Huge disappointment! I definitely would like to try some other menu items. My husband got a burger and fries, fries were awesome-love the tornado fries. The ambiance is fun, I love the PNW/outdoors vibes. Great things hung up throughout the restaurant. Our serving experience was good, staff was friendly but it wasn't super inviting when chairs were being stacked & they were doing closing duties when there was still some time before closing. I'd give this place 4.4 for food and ambience, but I'm rounding up because our server was so awesome. We showed up on a Friday night trying to find a last minute dinner spot. We stood at the front waiting for someone to greet us for a full 5 minutes which wasn't great, but they were busy and we didn't make a reservation. While waiting, the thing you can't help but notice is the entertaining decor. There's a big foot drinking a cocktail, half of a mountain climber leg dangling over a table. It's a wilderness over-the-top fun theme everywhere you look. We moved to Camas recently and it's been notable how lackluster the decor is most places, but not Wyld Pines. Real character. They finally greet us and luckily have a table in the bar ready right away. Our server was awesome- she quickly took our orders, made great recommendations (heck yes to the avocado fries!), and checked in on us even though the bar was packed and we were wedged in a tiny corner table. I got the patty melt burger with a side salad. My partner got a BBQ burger with fries. I thought the side salad was beautiful and elevated and not just basic iceberg like you might expect at a place like this- organic curly greens! The burger brought my score down. While the meat patty itself was juicy and flavorful, they serve it with this side of au jus which I was so excited about in theory, but clearly had spilled out on the plate under my burger leaving the bread soggy and the burger difficult to eat. I'd ask for no au jus next time because it wasn't good enough an add on to risk the whole burger again. I've driven by this place numerous times and knew I wanted to try it. My boyfriend and I went out to dinner to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. We were both excited since the menu looked really yummy plus we were excited to celebrate 2 years together. We get to the restaurant and when we get inside, we are greeted with a "Please wait until a server is with you" sign. There were plenty of spots in the bar so I had a feeling that would be where we would go sit. The bartender came over and asked if we were both over 21 and we said yes and found a table in the bar. She gave us 2 menus and said she would be right with us. We were waiting well over 10 minutes for someone to come take our order. When someone finally did, we ordered our drinks and the brussel sprouts as an appetizer. About 15 minutes went by and the bartender came back over to take our drink order ‍ we told her we had already ordered our drinks with another gal. She came back with our drinks and we ordered our food, but we still didn't have our brussel sprouts. The communication between the workers was horrible and the time we had to wait for everything was horrendous. There was a large party at the restaurant so I was trying to be patient and give them leeway, but it was getting kind of ridiculous how long we had to wait. The food was delicious, but the wait made it not really worth it. Luckily when we got our charge, I noticed the double charge for my boyfriend's drink because of the miscommunication between the bartender and the "waitress". I don't even want to call her that because she wasn't holding a notepad or even a waist apron of some sorts. I started to even question if she worked there. No one introduced themselves so I'm unable to give names. I'm sorely disappointed that this is what we chose for our 2 year anniversary dinner.
