Shrimp and grits.
Simone M.

Nice friendly people with great food and service. The shrimp and grits are to die for deliciously. Buttermilk pancakes are so scrumptious as well. Biscuits with gravy leaves you wanting more of that buttery biscuit and sausage gravy. Yes been awhile but I'm back with my Momma. She enjoyed everything.

Friday night all you can eat flounder!

Thank you to Sean at Metro Diner for making my pickup order experience great! I was picking up a…read morespecial lunch order for my team in recognition of Employee Appreciation, and Sean took the extra time to make sure everything was perfect. He double-checked that the order was correct and made sure I had extra utensils, condiments, and everything we needed. That level of service really stands out. It meant a lot to me because this was something special I was doing for my team, and Sean helped make sure it went smoothly. Thank you again! Although I didn't get pictures of the food this time, everything was amazing. I will definitely be back and will take pictures next time. Please check them out, won't be disappointed.

Typically, when someone from a restaurant reaches out to me about my review, especially when they are not 5 star, I instantly become skeptical. However, this owner made me feel comfortable to share my thoughts and explain how my visit went before anything else. Over the years, I have received tons of owners offering me a free meal in exchange for my integrity but I could tell this owner was extremely genuine and wanted to make sure my voice was heard. The initial post will remain the same but I wanted to amend some of the initial remarks including the service. The first time I tried this place, I received service that was not in alignment to the core values and standards this restaurant upholds, which, I am human and I have worked in food service for years so trust me, I get it. Since being back twice since my initial visit, I have been treated like family. The service has been up to par and the staff has been incredibly friendly. As far as the ambiance, it gives the feel of an old diner which makes it charming and lovable. Perhaps, some restorations and furnishings can be done nothing that isn't manageable. Lastly, I wanted to make sure to do a thorough review of the menu so when I went back twice after my initial review, I tried a menu item for each the breakfast menu and the dinner menu. The food was great! It was favorable, warm and packed with fresh ingredients. I tried the ribs and Mac and cheese as well as a breakfast plate on two separate occasions without letting the restaurant know I was coming back for a remake. The only thing I wasn't super thrilled about was the Mac and Cheese, other than that it was good. It goes to saying that their standards are commendable as they do care about their service, food and experience of the customers.

I love Stacks! It's a local favorite. The food is great and always awesome portions. If you like…read moreomelettes, this is your spot. Fresh ingredients from local sources adds to the value. The toughest part is the wait if you're not early. Otherwise, it's like a great meal in a "supersized small town" breakfast spot.

We went to this little diner-like restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. We went on Memorial…read moreDay and there was about a fifteen minute wait for our party of two. First impression was good. The restaurant itself looked clean and family-oriented. It had a diner-like feel. We ordered breakfast. (Breakfast is served all day.) Our server was very pleasant, attentive and friendly. I ordered one chocolate chip pancake with strawberries and whipped cream, and a turkey sausage patty. My husband had an omelet with hash browns and a biscuit. Overall, we thought everything was very good. My husband said he prefers his hash browns more browned and crunchy; and that his biscuit could have been a little better, but he was still pleased with his meal. I have no complaints about my pancake and turkey sausage. The thing I liked most about this place was that there were many choices on the menu, and the prices were reasonable. Finally, a place you can enjoy that has good food, a nice atmosphere and won't cost you an arm and a leg. This is closest to a real diner that I've eaten at in a long time. As we waited for our food to come out (which didn't take long at all), we noticed other waitstaff delivering amazing-looking food to tables. Our mouths were watering!! We will definitely be back. A very enjoyable experience.
